Melia Frankfurt City

Melia Frankfurt is a new, exceptionally clean hotel with a spacious reception area and helpful staff. The minimalist, clean design with sharp lines and some greenery plants a modern atmosphere. The rooms are immaculately clean – definitely one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel truly deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately, three issues affected our rating. Firstly, when booking, we had the impression that breakfast was included, as indicated online, but at check-in, we found out it wasn’t. For the price of €130 per night, this was disappointing. Secondly, there was an emergency light in the hallway that couldn’t be turned off, which made the night a bit less comfortable. Also the staff entered our room three times while we were inside while we had the do no disturb sign out…
On the bright side, the sauna area was a real highlight: very clean, modern, and offering a fantastic view over Frankfurt. Overall, it’s a great hotel with the potential to achieve 5 stars with a few adjustments. We look forward to a smoother stay on our next visit!

The whole stay left me with a bitter aftertaste. The general review: a luxurious and modern hotel. Reality? The hotel room phone was broken. We couldn't call, probably the reception couldn't call us either. After i sumbitted the "service request" in the online app, nothing happened. Some statuses shuffled, but to no avail. Then, the AC unit looks useless. It is too hard to control from the smart house control thing, and there is NO info in the room. We tried changing the temps and the speed of the "Fan", but it wasn't doing much. Our cups were not washed or changed during our stay, we had to do that ourselves too.
So much for "ecology"...

Great hotel, very modern and check in and out was simple. Clean room and also clean bedding and towels. Great view of Frankfurt from my higher floor room

Only downside was breakfast at the weekend doesn’t start until 7am but I was leaving at 6 to go to the airport. No early hour breakfast service was out and when I went down there to see, I was told off as it wasn’t open. Even though I had paid for this in my room stay.

Mediocre.

- slow service, at reception and restaurants
- difficult to contact, never answered the phone and had to call through call centre to get a simple request
- impossible to retrieve forgotten items
- impossible to reach housekeeping
- mediocre housekeeping

I would not recommend to stay here unless you have a membership with this chain and get upgraded — as long as you get as low service touch-pints as possible, the better.

Great premises but awful, incompetent service.

The only good thing that can be said is the beautiful view and the cleanliness of the room. Prices are unjustifiably inflated. The staff does not know English, when we wanted to leave the hotel, they explained something to us. At that time, when we entered the hotel, there was a football team, the access for the rest of the hotel guests was limited and we could not use the rest area, it was almost impossible to pass because of the security and people, fans, who surrounded the entire first floor.
