This hotel exceeded our expectations! Our bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. The bathroom had a large sink and a retractable clothes line in the shower, which came in handy for washing clothes during our stay. We also got a lot of use out of the mini-fridge and air-conditioning. We had a private balcony too, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful as well. This was a great home base for our stay in Rome.

Overall great room, rustic style hotel, the elevator was definitely questionable but very cool very central to everything trevi fountain and colosseum and other attractions. Easy to get around. Great room clean. Would return!

We just returned from an incredible 6 day trip to Rome. Hotel Artorius served as the perfect launching pad for our Rome adventure. We absolutely loved the location!
We saw the Colosseum every day at breakfast and walked past the Trevi Fountain daily. Tons of wonderful eateries in the area, very local, very Roman. Our local square was charming and a delight every night when we enjoyed an evening beer or wine with the locals. Attended the local church in the square as well. Every day returning from our adventures - all walkable if you are in a generally fit state - it felt like returning home.
Our host, Carla, was consistently a What's Ap message away with airport transport, suggestions for local restaurants, sites, churches - literally anything we needed, she was there for us. The room was very spacious for our party of three and nice and cold in the evening when we returned. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic, hot and cold water on demand, a 100 year old working elevator for those on the upper floors - overall charming, homey, welcoming, efficient and all the necessary modern technologies. (All photos below 5 minute walk, or less, from hotel!)

Nice hotel, particularly for the price, in a great location that's short walking distance to all the big sights.
Quiet and clean rooms overlooking quaint cobblestones streets with plenty of room to unpack.
To note: This hotel and Italy in general it seems goes for a firmer bed. I prefer a softer bed, so if that's a must for you, you might want to look at the American/British chains with properies in Italy. This doesn't affect my rating, as I'm not expecting a small boutique hotel to be promoting firmness adjustable beds, just something to note.
This hotel does have a late check price for check ins up to 11 and then increases for check-ins between 11-3, which is a bummer. Our flight was delayed and we got in after 11 when we initially expected to be in by 10, but they only charged us for the original anticipated semi late check in.

We stayed in the Studio Annex - Double Room in May 2024. The room was a lot larger than expected, very spacious. We appreciated the kitchenette space and cooler temperature of the room. The location was perfect and everything was about 20 minutes away, except for Vatican. The door to the entrance of the room faced the Colosseum. However, there were no windows facing outside in the room itself.

Hotel is close to the coliseum. Easy to walk across the city to see all sightseeings. Bedroom and breakfast are ok, not incredible.

It's a small hotel, not too easy to find, but nice service! Great breakfast in a quiet court. Our room for three had real beds for three (not a pull-out) and even a balcony. The elevator stopped working during our stay, but as we were in the 2nd floor (US count) that didn't bother us. Internet was slow one nice, but you know what, for a 2-star hotel, and not even expensive in the center of Rome, we couldn't ask for more. We're definitively keeping this address in our list.

It is a small hotel with few rooms, very well kept, in a quiet corner of the Mountains but just a few steps from the "movida". The breakfast is generous and the staff helpful.

We stayed here at the beginning of July 16 for a long weekend couldn't fault the place all the staff where very friendly and the hotel was nice and clean, don't be put off by the 2 stars it's just what we where looking for.
