Alder Hotel Uptown New Orleans

Best Hotel on our trip through the South. Modern, super clean, lots of space, well equipped and pretty quiet. It's very close to the "Hood" but fenced parking area, a doorman and Security from Hospital next door gives you a good feeling. It's just 10 min to French Quarter and Canal St. Unbeatable at this price, will recommend it to everyone who likes to visit NO.

This is the best hotel in the world.

I stayed in this hotel for about 2 weeks after I had surgery and was burglarized. It was a horrific time in my life. The entire staff knew who I was and who my dog was. They checked in with me, helped me with rates, went beyond their jobs as my neighbors to see if I needed anything and gave me organizations to look into for help. The cleaning staff helped me keep the room clean while respecting my privacy in the midst of lots of anxiety.

I will never stay anywhere else in NOLA if I have someone visit, even if it's out of my way. These people didn't have to treat me the way they did. And it made me feel safe and cared for at a time I had been deeply betrayed.

I had no issues with anything while I was there and if I needed any maintenance or support the staff was there immediately.

So stay at this hotel and know it is filled with humans who care and are good. Plus it's next to the hospital so security is great and parking is easy.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations! Fantastic service from all employees I encountered. The parking lot is technically “across the street”, but it’s very close and has security. We were able to walk to many great shops and restaurants, and the drive to further attractions wasn’t far at all. I would stay here again, and I have already recommended it to friends and family! Thank you for a great stay!

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, and wish I could have stayed longer. I'm glad I was able to stay here for the short time I did. Facilities are nice, and well kept. It's nice, clean, and quaint. Noticed a few maintenance issues with shower head rust and the balcony needing some love, but for the price of this gem, it's not unexpected.

The customer service was amazing! It felt like every customer was given the utmost attention. I would like to say thank you to Nicole for her kindness, because she allowed me use her charger after I left my charger at the airport. The maintenance man also was pleasant as he helped me call the taxi a few times. These are things that are above and beyond what is required, and I appreciate that.

The area this hotel is located in is not the best, but again, it's no 5 star so expectations need to be realistic. I won't mind coming back and staying here again. Thank you!

Very nice and clean room. Went to the front desk to ask them to change the battery in the safe and the guy was there to do it before I got back to the room. Great service and friendly staff. Free parking in a reasonably well lit lot across the street. No breakfast anymore?

I stayed here 3 nights in November 2022 to attend a conference held downtown. I had no concerns about the neighborhood. A walk of one or two blocks takes you to a row of restaurants. My room and the hotel were clean. It was too chilly to swim in the pool, but it looked lovely and there were towels available outside for guests. The front desk staff and doorman were extremely professional and welcoming. If I ever return to NOLA, I will stay at Alder - I'm a picky guest so if I'm willing to come back for a repeat visit, then the establishment met some really high expectations. BTW, the coffee is incredible!
