Everything was perfect! I stayed here for 7 nights during rose blooming season. Super warm and nicely decorated historical house. The owners, Nikolay and Dobrinka, created the hotel with a big heart. Very spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped room. Great location, close to the Kalofer center. The breakfasts and dinners were really delicious, freshly cooked traditional Bulgarian food. The owners were super friendly, they gave me great tips where to go, where are the rose fields near buy. They also have two small rose gardens in Kalofer. Nikolay is a great guide, he guide many different type of people, he knows a lot about local history, culture, traditions… He can give all information that you need! History, hiking, roses, wine tasting and etc. During my stay he has a group from Malaysia, for Rose and Aroma tour. Highly recommend!

Best hotel for a simply beautiful stay. The hotel had everything we needed for our hiking holiday, and the hosts were so welcoming, telling us a lot about the area. We hope to come back soon when the roses are in bloom and we can try more of the rose treats made by the hosts.

The place looked decent when we arrived. The lady that showed us around was friendly and helpful. Problems started the first night when we were asked to be quiet and this is no place for having a family party (allthough we payed extra for renting the pub, so we can have some fun on the family reunion). The morning after, an old lady, presumably the host's mother started an argument about the noise last night and that if there is any kind of noise later on, she will call police. I can say for sure that this ruined the mood for a lot of people and they couldn't chill and enjoy their holiday after that. So time passess, we had a quiet Saturday evening and everything seemed ok the morning after... untill we had to settle the bill. The offer that was given to us when we made the booking was no longer the same and they asked for a bigger amount. When the lady couldn't explain why and how the bill is larger, she called her husband and ohhh boyy... this guy came STEAMIN!!! I'm not sure if he was still drunk from last night or he was high on some cheap street stuff, but he came screamin, demanding to honour the new bill, pay and leave.. that was a 20-minute argument, the kids hid in their rooms crying. He was even trying to start a fight.. not sure how high you need to be to do that when you're alone against 10 guys...
At some point he even started making racist comments against us, although he's Bulgarian as well, stating that Germans, Chinese and Israelis wouldn't make such a scene and would just pay and leave at this point...
In the end, we paid the new bill and left this place.. would not recommend...

The owner of the house behaved arrogantly throughout our stay, as well as an old lady (probably his mother) who lives in the courtyard of the guest house. The climax was at the end of our stay when the owner told us that the final amount was different from the previously agreed upon amount.
After we tried to talk to him and clarify the situation, he started insulting the whole group, obviously drunk or high (or maybe under the influence of some other type of opiate) and refused to have a normal conversation, repeating several times, that he didn't need Bulgarians' money (at the same time, he was arguing about money all the time...), since he is earning his money from the Chinese, Germans and Israelis. We ended up paying the higher bill and left.

Therefore I don't recommend this place at all to anyone, especially if you're Bulgarian - this is NOT the place for you, as the man has no respect for Bulgarians, nor does he need your money.
He has foreigners, even though this is no guarantee that he will not appear in an inadequate state and start arguing and insulting you, as his word means NOTHING.

Good luck to everyone finding a better place, with friendly and positive hosts!

Owner is drunk most of the time. Very rude there was a problem with everything we did. Rooms are good so does the house. There was not enough space in the fridges as the owners were using them for personal stuff. Generally you will be better off skipping this place.

The guest house is very cozy and is right in the middle of the town and yet it is located on a quiet street, just a few steps from the memorial house of Hristo Botev.
The hosts are very kind and helpful people.

A lovely place, but the owner is a type of guy that will spoil you experience. He is usually following every step you make and trying to correct and advise you. At the end you will be disappointed from your stay. Avoid this place!

Amazing place that I strongly recommend. Though you cannot tell it looking from outside of the house. Once you enter there's a nice yard. It's very calm. Good value for the money as well. The host is super friendly and helpful.
