Bad Urach is amazing, just don't stay in this hotel. Absolutely shocking experience here. Hotel is very rundown and thus very overpriced. Very bad service: we occupied as a wider family 5 rooms for a long weekend. For two of those rooms, they wanted us to pay a 30 Euro early check-in fee. For one room they wanted an extra night paid to be able to enter the room at 11am. Considering what good costumers we were, this is rather shocking. We ended up not using the early check-ins and worked around it,, although it was an inconveniece, as I didn't want to give this money-grabbing hotel even more money.

Room ok. However, from the friendliness of the two ladies from the reception and Breakfast have never heard of it. I was condescending accosted because I want to be dared to 7.45 am for Breakfast...?!

Prices for the dishes are completely covered.
Were with 15 people there and no one was happy with the food.
Sirloin steak Medium/Rare ordered, has been completely served by fried.
3 alleged Feta-spinach dumplings, without the Feta, not seasoned and Fries are not filled, it goes for a price of 15€.
Pig ländchen greasy and tough, and so on and so forth.
For easy side dishes, salad and then demand extra money is not justified in the case of the Standard of the Restaurants.
We no longer go here, and get each club's home better and cheaper.

Impudence what you experienced here. Three months ago we booked a four bed room for one night. A day before I'm calling because we wanted to arrive earlier. Now the room is otherwise assigned us a room against a surcharge of 50% was offered. Incredibly how to deal with customers in this deal. This Hotel provides us with security. The ladies on the phone were very friendly and definitely not for this price decision.

The food was mediocre. The roast for proud 21€ and without the side salad!!
Ordered a medium and the small piece of meat was todgebraten. what is the half-black-and-fried Dumpling to do this, know only of the cooking. Was certainly not edible.
The staff seemed contrived and not really Customer-oriented.
For all dishes with a side salad for 4,50€.
You can understand it, if it is a star kitchen, but here is miles away. only the prices are in the stars in the sky.
Would like to operate with my assessment, no Negative advertising, but this place is really.

Very quiet Hotel in the best Central location. Top shopping and Hiking trails around the Hotel. We were very satisfied and like two years ago, in the same rooms with a balcony and great views. All the Best, and sometime we over look.

Normal hotel. Good location. Public parking is 1 minute away. Breakfast is ok. Clean inside. Lovers of antiques will like old furniture in the rooms. But, really, you could be just a little bit more friendly to your guests. I don know why booking.com showed me "twin bed" in your "Single room", and why it showed me that it's suitable for one adult and one kid. That's the least I want to care of in the end of the traveling day with small kid, when you realize that there is just a single bed in the room. And all you hear from staff is "it's a single room, what do you want?"

All in all a very nice an friendly service!
Prices at the hotel restaurant are a bit high (considering the quality and the size of the dishes). We also ordered a dish, received a different, cheaper one instead, but were charged for the pricier dish...

the food is a bit salty and not that good (like if u order a vegetarian burger, u get the burger without the meat patty!) the fries were good though... salad had to be ordered separately... as for the hotel, i think its good if ur hiking and need a place to stay, but the price is too high for the "superior room" that is not renovated. breakfast is fair.
