Stayed here a year ago, however i look back at it with love. Would go back! I loved the little drink station in the bar where you can get tea/juice/coffee/beer all day. At least for us. It was nice and clean. 1 star missing because there wasn't many vegetarian options. However making your own waffle in the morning makes up for it! First of all I would not say that Hotel is 4 stars but rather 3 stars. Rooms were okey just that spider webs and some stuff were not actually really prepared for guests to feel comfortable. Always a pleasure at the Waldhaus Ohlenbach! The staff is friendly and the food is great. I am especially happy with the lavish breakfast. The hotel is very closely located to the skiing slopes of Winterberg. The views from almost all the rooms and the awesome Infinity-pool are a true highlight of the hotel.

If you are looking for a scape plan to the nature this is a very good option. Here you have a 3 starts hotel and a very good german food restaurant. The quality of the food is really good, price is ok and the staff is very friendly. The view that you have from the restaurant is pure nature! Very nice place a little bit hidden and it was a hint from local people.

Wonderfully situated Gasthaus. You can make great walks starting here and end with a bear, lunch or dinner. I had a light lunch and enjoyed it very much. In summer you can horse ride starting here. I recommend it highly

We spent a weekend here and were totally enchanted by the beautiful surrounding, the mountains, early autumnal colors and charming village. The hotel itself gives a beautiful view of the valleys. From here various walks can be made, whilst the little village itself gives the possibility for short walks with young children. We were also able to have our breakfast and dinners here, which altogether...

Great spot for local walks. Lot of interesting paths starting in the village. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very quiet and Hotel service for campers! Dogs allowed. No amenities, but ask the owners if you need anything.

We got the bridal-suite instead of the regular room, which made our stay very enjoyable. Very nice decorated, clean and proper. We even got a garage for our motorcycles to store. Breakfast was very good, with good coffee and fresh fruits. After a long ride in the Sauerland area, we could relax at the hotel-terrace with big glasses of German Weissbeer. :-)

A very nice hotel. Stayed in the junior suite which was super nice, modern, clean, very spacious with a master bedroom and in the living there were 2 coaches that open up and 2 daybeds (one in each room). The water pressure was excellent and there was also a huge walk in closet in the hall. The only drawback was that there was no fridge and no coffee machine in the suite.

Dog friendly hotel at the edge of the forest, there's also a shower room with towels for your dog. Several hiking trails pass by the hotel, no need to use the car. The village is very quiet and full of character. Staff is very friendly. Recommended!

Originally we had a trip planned to their neighbours. But because they were closed we ended up here. And no regrets. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The schnitzel was bigger then average and was just good. The desert was also delicious. And the view ..... We had 2 schnitzels, 4 beer and 2 deserts and the financial damage was €44,00 . So very affordable!

Impressive name but the hotel is actually pretty simple but Ok for a few days. Staff is at the same time amicable and maybe due to an overworked.state a little bit irritated, In my opinion a risk full combination. Still they try to cope with the situation and manage. The location was beautiful worth a nice view over the village. Breakfast was great. Special requests were no issue at all. It was a 20 min drive to the ski lift, which wasn’t problem at all. We enjoyed a lot!

Confortable place to relax after doing crazyness in the snow its cheap but a little bit far away from winterberg its like 18 km. The breakfast is included so 40€ is perfekt for a night stay.

Somewhat old-fashioned inn, with a coherent concept: Everything is very reminiscent of the 80s. Transparent plastic tablecloths over the actual tablecloths, guaranteed tomato soup with spray cream for a starter, generally the ambience in which many parties with many smokers have obviously been celebrated for decades... Salad buffets are also not that common these days. Food was ok, but all the sauces...

A very warm service and the food should actually be given 6 stars, we eat out more often, but here it has been real home cooking for a very long time. Keep it up, you're on the right track. The house is getting old, but the rooms are very nice.

Rooms are not luxurious but clean and complete. great extra is the Smart-TV. The hosts are super service oriented and helped us with tips on skirental and lifts. Also, we got stuck with our tesla that needed power and they went out of their way to let us charge at the hotel!

Friendly atmosphere by the owners itself. A lot of hiking possibilities. Rooms are big and clean. So are the beads.

Nice rooms and good breakfast buffet. Parking was a bit troublesome some times though. And the sauna needs to be reserved in advance before use.

Beautiful ensuite room. Value is placed on water and towel consumption. There is also a lounge with a comfortable sofa, board games and various books. Everything super clean. Great ambience throughout the hotel. Easy check-in. Unfortunately I couldn't test breakfast because I had to leave very early in the morning.
