Where to stay in Wittmund

Yesterday we celebrated our silver wedding in the Birkengaststätte. The staff was very nice and friendly. The food couldn't have been better, just delicious. Everyone was excited. A rural restaurant, as it used to be. Sniertjebraten with side dishes was really great. Sure, prices have risen everywhere, but what if the quality is right? Why not.

An inn with a special flair. Rooms furnished in the 70's style, but with a shower and very clean. The breakfast was a hit, lots and varied. The landlady very very nice. "Heart, what more do you want?" We'll be back ❤️

We have just stayed at the Birkenhof for 3 nights. The room, the toilet, as well as the shower are super clean and you can really feel comfortable. The breakfast is very lovingly set and perfectly adequate (we always had something left over) - on request it was refilled in a friendly manner... Really highly recommended for the value for money!

Can only be warmly recommended. It's not luxury and the hot water comes a bit late, but you can also complain at a high level😉 The lady who welcomed us was extremely nice. She even gave us a Pasr beer in the room and didn't even want me to pay for it right away. Breakfast was included and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

The real kicker to making this trip excellent was meeting one of the local staff by the name of Jay! She was absolutely delightful! Exceptional fluency in English, was so kindhearted and thoughtful, and made me feel welcome right from the start! She definitely deserves a raise! What a wonderful trip thanks to Jay!

The restaurant is really good, and the atmosphere has improved significantly from before, vibrant with people. Really like the attitude of the owner and staff. Food is delicious, especially à la carte. Credit card payment options too, which is not easy to find in Wittmund. My 2 cents.

The floor was very nice You could almost surf on it, when wearimg your dancing shoes They were able to serve a great amount of people (308) at a constant pace, at which you, the customer, never had to wait The garderobe was very big and easy to reach

We stayed here for four nights and loved this hotel. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are very nicely decorated, the bed is comfortable and everything in a good condition. Only downside was that the hotel doesn't offer any breakfast but there are places nearby. I can really recommend this hotel!

Even though I have only the basic German knowledge, getting to are hotel was quite easy. When we arrived, the receptionist was straight away able to get the job done as quickly as possible, which allowed us to get into are room and rest. Positive note, the room was located on a map which was shown on one half of the key, which I found quite surprising. The rooms were very good standard, clean, comfy...

It is a good place if you have a car and want to see the surroundings. A peaceful place with a garden where you can rest.

Quiet location, rural, super nice hosts, breakfast great on request, breakfast time. In summer, seating in the garden, very clean bed linen and towels available.

We say 3 and a half stars, great rooms, very comfortable and well equipped, the location is not for everyone, but we really liked it there!

Everything was clean and tidy, the room was great, breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The Janssen family was very friendly and nice you can say it is almost a family connection. Go back on occasion.

Small hotel with a rich breakfast. The hosts are always approachable and eager to please the guests. Sky TV, drinks and a coffee machine. Large parking lot at the house. I highly recommend it.

The room looked newly renovated and was clean. The breakfast was unsurpassable. A vegetarian 3-course menu was put together especially for us, which delighted us. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We also tried the small but nice sauna and swimming pool area and found it to be good. Full marks from us!

Very nice hotel room, clean, nicely furnished. Breakfast was super good. We had half board, dinner was delicious, something for everyone. The staff was always very helpful and friendly. We also got a picnic basket, which was richly filled with drinks, meatballs, sausages, apples 🍎, sandwiches, muesli bars.

Premium rooms are spacious and well equipped. Staff a little inattentive. Other guests stand outside and chat/smoke late at night disturbing others, and coach parties leave early and not quietly.

Nice little hotel on the edge of the center. Very nice staff. Good breakfast. Cheap. Limited service times at the reception due to a lack of staff. Rooms not super modern and a bit outdated, but clean. Sufficient parking space on the property. Everything in the city can be reached on foot.

Very pleasant experience here. Rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet with green surroundings but centrally located. In only a couple of minutes you can ride a bike to the old town of Jever. Staff is very friendly and helpful, full recommendation, we will come back.

Have been a regular at the hotel for many years. Quiet location, sufficient parking space, very friendly staff and a full breakfast buffet speak for themselves as a price-performance ratio. The hotel is not booked out quickly for nothing. It was a pleasure.

Die Einrichtung ist insgesamt sehr ansprechend, das gilt sowohl für die Zimmer als auch für den Frühstücksraum, die Sauna und selbst das Treppenhaus. Unser Bett war ein Traum, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Auch Zimmergröße und Badgestaltung sind sehr komfortabel und durchdacht. Die Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen freundlich.

We stayed there for a week in late summer. Jever is a good starting point for sightseeing tours. The hotel is very tastefully furnished and of high quality, is located in a park-like garden. Lovingly prepared breakfast buffet, especially the tea in Frisian rose porcelain with cream and candy is an experience. The lack of restoration is not significant, you can eat somewhere else every evening within...

Highly recommended. We stayed in the Bremaster suite. Apart from the obvious advantage, the room was lovely with great attention to detail. This is not a hotel from a huge cooperation but managed and operated by people who clearly have a passion for what they do. Service was outstanding.

What (early Nov 22) was intended as a "transit hotel on the way back from the island" turned out to be a real gem! Exciting and very successful combination of a lovingly preserved Grunderzeit villa and a modern, very sustainably built new building. Super friendly staff, very personal and attentive care, from check in to (with a bit of farewell pain) check out. Tastefully and warmly furnished room....

Very nice hotel furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms are spacious and very comfortably furnished. We could stay longer here... We celebrated our wedding there and were spoiled by excellent cuisine with a first-class 5-course menu. The staff did a top job and made a significant contribution to making this evening unforgettable for us and our guests. A clear recommendation!!!!

We especially like the size of the garden. The location is excellent. We walk to the bakery each morning. Simply a nice relaxing environment.

We love this place. It has everything my family needs to include a fenced garden. Perfect for the dogs! ~15 minutes to the beach.

Old historical building refurbished into a modern Hotel. cyclists are very welcome. Breakfast is excellent.

Friendly staff, clean, modern looking rooms for a fair price. The beach is just a few minutes away and there is even a small bath for dogs in the entrance, so you can clean your dog before going to to your room.

Pleasant hotel run by a family. There is hardly anything else in this area. But there is a refrigerator in the hotel with relatively cheap drinks, honesty pays into a piggy bank. Breakfast plentiful and good. Bike shed is also available. Covered terrace in the entrance area, where you can sit well. Absolutely great choice, if only for one night on a bike ride.

The hotel is located in Altharlingersiel, in a quiet location. Rooms are clean, you have everything you need. Breakfast very good, fresh fruit, bread, rolls, eggs, fish, filter coffee, cappuccino. Tea can be made during the day and chilled drinks are also available. Very nice team. A bike shed is also available.

A very good hotel for short vacations. breakfast is good I'm just of the opinion that in a hotel that offers breakfast, the coffee machine should run without error messages and if it has any, it should be fixed. But it was booked again and again.

If you are looking for simple, clean accommodation with a good breakfast, this is the place for you! Very friendly owners! Wishes are tried to be implemented and the rooms are cleaned regularly. Unfortunately nothing nearby where you could just walk through on foot.. But ideal for cyclists and as an accommodation from where you can start your day trips. Our food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it. Our drinks were also well tapped and served quickly. Service friendly and attentive. I cannot confirm the reviews of Café Caro. We would love to come back.

Always a pleasure to stay at Hotel Hinrichs. We have been guests there for the last 4 years. The location is ideal for visiting the entire North Sea coast The family run nature of the hotel means it is friendly and quiet. The food and quality of the service and rooms makes it a very good value for the money. 5 stars!

Thank you for the very pleasant time at Hotel Thule! We lacked nothing! Ms. Thule took care of every guest at breakfast and also attentively considered wishes. Our room on the top floor was well equipped and quiet. The hotel was also ideally located just a few minutes' walk from the inner harbour. Shops and localities are all within walking distance. Everything perfect! There is nothing to complain...

The room was under the roof without a balcony, but the temperature was pleasant. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is served in buffet form. This was plentiful, stocked with different things and egg dishes were freshly prepared. We say thank you to the accommodation.

The conversion has been a complete success. The ambiance is very nice. The rooms are stylishly furnished. There is free coffee, tea and cocoa all day long. A water bubbler is also available. I like to come back every year.

A really nice place. We were more than satisfied with our room. Very tastefully decorated and everything was very clean. The breakfast was good and the service excellent. We find it particularly worth mentioning that you can get water and hot drinks free of charge at any time! Always my pleasure.

Wonderful little hotel with great sense of style and comfort. Located at the town centre of Esens this little gem offers exquisite hospitality. Large rooms are stylish and so comfortable we had a hard time getting back out! Balconies add extra comfort, cleanliness is a matter of course. So is free WiFi. Even pets are welcome! The breakfast is plentiful, gorgeous and creative. There’s even a pancake...

Was only there for one night as a temporary solution, but felt very comfortable. As others write, the decor is very old-fashioned and clocked, but in the room and in the restaurant at breakfast everything was very well-kept and clean. The owners are super nice and gave me a warm welcome and service. At breakfast I also missed fruit and vegetables, but nothing else was missing and everything was delicious...
