Where to stay in Kuusamo

Good and fast service, at least for drinks, I didn't eat this time. The place is really nice inside, because it is decorated with a sports theme. you can also watch sports while eating. For children, an Angry Birds-themed adventure park is just one door away.

The day's pike perch dish was excellent, the shrimp salad from the list ok, and wine tasty. Service very nice and fast. A bit pricey.

The property was absolutely perfect. We felt secluded and surrounded by nature yet also comforted knowing the staff were on hand at any time too. The cabin itself was just amazing. So warm, inviting and equipped with everything we need.

Wonderful hosts, excellent location, good food, excellent activities, authentic Finnish hospitality and experience. Would highly recommend and will certainly stay again.

Best holiday ever in the winter! Tuomo and Marjo are so kind and organized everything so smoothly from airport pick-up to husky, snowscooter and fishing safari. The cottages have great view, are very well equipped and comfortable to live for longer periods. Also Marjo's cooking and baking is amazing so be sure to pre-book dinner!

My girlfriend and I had our best holiday ever here. The cottages are very private and authentik straight at the lake. The hosts are super friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. We did all our tours via the hosts as well which where the real Lapland experiences. Location is amazing, in the forest, far from other. We've got an opening in the ice with comfty ladder steps and an ice saw to keep it open. Wood heaten sauna was perfect. Temperature inside was perfect. There was far enough wood for fire. Cottage was fully equipped. Owners were great. Very helpfull and nice. One note: to get to the toilet need to go outside, but this how it is.

Very basic e.g. dry toilet outside. While booking one should be aware. But you can t find a nicer spot to stay. Breathtaking nature surrounds the property. Very lonely place where you can just be for yourself. 5 Star recommendation!

Excellent apartments. Warm and cozy, the kitchen has everything you need to cook. Beds are comfortable, sauna is great. We saw a herd of deer passing along the path in the forest.

The cabin was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything for cooking we could want and more! The beds were comfortable and the sauna was hot!!! Location was great!! We saw amazing northern lights right outside!! It was such a cozy place to stay and the staff was really nice!! They greeted us and had the cabin nice and warm on arrival!

Mökki oli siisti, puhdas ja hyväkuntoinen. Hyvä sijainti. Yhteydenpito Suomen "asiakaspalvelun" kanssa oli sujuvaa. Astiasto ja kodinkoneet ok.

Very well equipped lodge, amazingly done renovations; especially the bathroom! You will have a lovely stay here!

Mökki oli sellainen kuin netissä kuvailtiinkin. Maisemat kivat takapihalle ja hiihtolatu lähti suoraan takapihalta. Sijainti hyvä, koska Maston hiihtohissit kävelymatkan päässä ja skibussi pysäkkikin lähellä. Keittiössä oli hyvät varustelut ja kaikkea löytyi kokkailuun. Avaimen saanti helppoa.

Siisti mökki loistavalla ja rauhallisella sijainnilla. Mökissä hyvin tilaa, kellaritila plussaa pyörien säilytykseen, keittiöstä löytyi kaikki tarvittava.

If you are looking for real hospitality, fully serviced, very comfortable place ... this is it. Your top end in Ruka which will be able to satisfy even the most demanding.

We did have quite good time even though the menu offered foe the raclette did not have almost anything in common to what the web site says. For example no ingredient had marination while website stated several in the example menu. Fillet was exchanged for steak, no root veggies roasted or without. All in all oversold and under delivered. The waiter was inexperienced and I would suggest going through...

For sure five star selection! Perfect atmosphere, stunning views, friendly staff and amazing food with perfecttly fitting selection of vines! If you have opportunity to spend here couple of nights, don't miss your chance.

Very nice restaurant with small menu, excellent quality and typical finish food. But the best thing of this place is the private sauna with outer jacuzzi and hot pool. You can also lie on the snow and come back to the hot bath. Amazing!! By the way, the sauna is an old carbon oven. Very original!

The food was great and interesting with local tastes, but we waited over two hours for main course "because there's a big group in the other room". Deserves 4,8 stars for the food alone, but lost points for being slow. They compensated for the wait, but you might want to ask about the booking situation early. It looks like the kitchen can't handle the reservation to the private room at the same time...
