Honestly, of the best dining experiences in Crete! The fish soup, the meat and souvlaki, the salads, the bread that is made is the hotel, the fruits and desserts, all were off the scale yummy! If we had stayed there any longer we would need to go on a diet ;) The staff was also extremely kind, giving a sense of original Greek hospitality without being pretentious

What an amazing experience! We visited the hotel for the first time, having read an article in the UK Times and even thought we went there with very high expectations the hotel still impressed us

The architecture is amazing, everything feels welcoming and all the areas of the hotel are offering an exceptional experience for relaxation and entertainment

There are several pools in the hotel and also private pools in some of the rooms, so there is always an oasis nearby if one wants to cool down

The rooms are unusually spacious, much above the average and the beds are super comfortable for a good night's sleep

Small, very clean, family-run hotel. Staff was super helpful in organizing trips around Crete and extremely friendly. Everything in Agia Galini can be reached by foot easily

Having a fab holiday thanks to Panos & his family lovely family run hotel,we were lucky to have a triple room very well appointment un failing maid service,gorgeous pool area & well stocked drinks/snack bar tasty breakfast too, a wonderful find & a credit to Neos Ikaros will definitely return ?

The thing I liked most, was that there is a small supermarket 100m away from the hotel and ofcoure an ATM. The harbor is a 5-7 min walk so you don't need a car if your staying in the town

I had a great time, beautiful rooms, breakfast was good and the people are so friendly. My room was daily cleaned and always perfectly clean when I came back

Our room was at the 3th floor and was very quiet and had a spectacular view! The staff was really friendly and helpfull! I really recommend it and I will definitely come back next year! (Ps there is a elevator inside the hotel and outdoor stairs)

Very nice modern hotel overlooking the see. The beach and the restaurants in town a walking distance. Nice breakfast on the terrase with gorgeous views.

That however eats all the calories you chomped at the nice restaurants you find in the town and on the beach so no worries

The renovation of hotel Petra worked out very well. The rooms are very nice and international business standard. Also hotel Petra has a restaurant next to their pool with a great cook. Very recommended!

Because of the layout of the rooms you have a lot of privacy, and you hardly hear the other guests. I highly recommend this hotel

I had a great stay in Petra Hotel, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is next to the pool where you also have a nice view

The hotel is a 5 min walk from the coast and takes you through the village with all the restaurants and shops. The pool in the hotel is great too; clean and catches the sun for the whole day

Very nice hotel, close to the beach, tour agencies, car rental, bars and restaurants. Staff is very friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple, but enough. Rooms have a big balcony with seaview

The rooms are simple but very clean. The terraces offer incredible views of the Libyan Sea.We go there mainly for the welcoming. Manolis and his wife do everything to make your stay pleasant

The pool is not 24/7 open but it was clean and did the job well ;-) the room service was so cute, they drapped even our clothes for the night realy lovely! I missed it now at home

Owner was very kind, he makes you feel welcome as an old friend and was kind enough to ship me the little teddybear my kid forgot in the room

It's a 2star hotel, but you're well looked after and the kindness snd service make up for everything. The pool is lovely :)

Regular visitors to Crete will recognise the small caraffette on the tray in the room as raki as offered in most restaurants on the island after dinner and assume it is a welcome drink

The location was also great because of the quiet part of the beach-strip with own terrace and beach. And the service in the restaurant was very good

The room was bright and clean with a marvelous view over the beach and sea. The menu's for Breakfast, Lunch and Diner offer a lot of choises and the quality was great

Agia Galini is a lovely resort with the old town and port with it's many quaint restaurants separated from the beach by a promenade

We had the sea view junior suite which overlooks the pool. The views are great and you have direct access to the pool from your room

It's a 5-minute walk away from the town one way, and the beach the other way. Far enough to be completely quiet at night, and close enough to get there within walking distance. I can highly recommend this hotel

The supermarket adjacent to the hotel is convenient. Rooms are basic but have everything you need and are very clean (and cleaned every day). There's a little kitchen in there if you want to cook yourself

Our room had a nice balcony, which was great for our morning coffee. Breakfast is good and has variety. Worth the extra price, for sure. They were also good about dealing with my food allergy

Amazing. Its small, family business. Real 10% discount in supermarket on 1st floor. And there are normal prices anyway! Good room. Middle from beach and restorants streets.

We are lucky that we are in the penthouse and can therefore enjoy the roof terrace 🌞 But the other devices look nice and are also fine 👍🏼

If I stay in Aglia Galini again, I will definitely use this lovely place again

If you want luxury, everything disinfected, new, spotless like in some resort, then this is not the right place for you. But if you want a reasonable price, a good location and a family atmosphere - this is it

Great hotel, room gets cleaned every day and the view is just stunning. And for the fact that the price is very cheap, I'd say it is a hell of a deal!

What bothers me the most are old, tattered towels and bathrooms that need renovation. But if you have a problem and you tell the girls, they will try to accommodate you in everything. So to sum it up - it's like home

The equipment is older, there are things I would criticize (missing shelves in the closet, or not properly arranged furniture in the apartment), but I only go there for a few hours at night

The manager was super nice, the bed was so comfortable, the breakfast was complete, and the location is good, 5 to 10min walk to the village and the port. We also had a balcony which was handy for drying things

Next stay on crete will go there again. Very very good for a more than fair price. Its more like a 3,5 Star hotel rather than the rated 2-Star hotel. Very Kind Service. Lovely place.

The service was over all expectations. The breakfast was wonderful and something for everyone. If you needed transport they had a taxi service to help at very very good prices.

No lift but comfortable wide stairs (likely we got 1st floor as we had lot of luggage). Luggage storage in the corridor (attended)

They have rooftop terrace, that has magnificent panoramic views. For Breakfast you get wide choice of cheese, gluten free bread, meats, fresh desserts and juices. But for our family - the best of Astoria are their staff

Freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh pastries done by the owner are on the menu every day in addition to toast, jam and fresh fruit. Free parking in front of the hotel or on the streets close to it

Beautiful beaches are in the surroundings and Agia Galini has quite some charm too featuring a little beach and plenty of good and inexpensive restaurants

• It can be a little inhibiting to share the swimming pool with next door villa strangers especially as the pool is on their side • We can recommend visits to Matala and Palace of Phaistos

Absolutely great. Villa on top of a mountain with a view on the Mediterranean Sea. Your own pool, of course cable TV and AC. Either for romantic getaway, bachelor party or family trip.

Sitting right on top of the mountain range it has spectacular views of Agia Galina harbour. We were treated to a fine meal as the sun set washed down with a chilled Rose

Excellent hotel! Don't go there for the kitchen or the bathroom in the apartments (adequate but not more), but go for the location, the owners, the breakfast, the pool and the relaxed atmosphere!

Enjoyed a lovely week early in October. Really great location with lovely views off our large balcony. There are many steps as it is a built on a steep hillside

There is a small lift but if you have problems with stairs it may not be the best spot. The pool was a real sun trap and the food, cooked by the lovely owners was excellent

Our one bed apartment was spacious and well equipped. We loved it and hope to return

Small friendly family run hotel with fantastic view over the bay and harbour. Even the swimming pool has a fantastic view. There is a convenience store right outside and plenty of parking spaces

The hotel clings to the side of the hill but fortunately there is a lift. Second time we have stayed and would definitely stay again

the location and the breathless view of souda bay was perfect! the beautiful stone made hotel and the nice stuff made our stay enjoyable. the swimming pool was big and deep just they we love it

Good breakfast and it is possible to order other meals from a limited menu of meals. Nice bar in the pool area which was open to late in the night. Other tavernas reached by a 10 minutes walk

Nice place in the mountains with a very service minded staff. The rooms with AC (extra price) are clean and we had a nice view över the bay

-Home made traditional dishes available for lunch or dinner (no big variety though) -There is a mini market and 2 good tavernas closeby
