Blue Wave Villa

The GREATEST BLUNDER done by us is booking 4 rooms in Blue Waves Villas, No 23,Old Karikattukuppam Road,Muttukadu, SH 49, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 603112 on 26th and 27th Aug, 2023. We just stayed here for one night. We had the worst experience ever. We were asked to check-in by 2PM on 26th Aug, 2023 and checkout by 12PM on 27th Aug, 2023. By the time we got there at 2.15 PM, the villa was locked. Even after many bells, it remained closed. However, we could see that the hallway was being cleaned by someone. We entered by the building's side and asked him to unlock the entrance. He casually asked us to wait for one hour. We had to yell at the main in-charge and the door was opened after 20 minutes. Babies, kids, ladies were standing outside with the luggage. Nothing was cleaned. THE WHOLE HOUSE WAS CLEANED BY JUST ONE PERSON. He informed us that additional ladies will be coming to clean the house. BUT NOBODY HAD ARRIVED. We sat about for over an hour. We were given the cleaned villa only by 4 PM. They asked us to check-out later but this was not in our plan as we had another plan on next day Next, we were told to visit the beach. But our plan was to play in swimming pool and then go to beach. Everything was collapsed. No proper cleaning of kitchen, rooms and rest rooms. They have a microwave. However, there was no microwave-safe utensil available. There wasn't even one cooker. The sofa covers in the living room were torn and not changed, nor were they cleaned. No centralised a/c in hall. As promised, there was NO TV in hall and two bedrooms. Other bedrooms had TV, but it was not in working condition. There were no DOORMATS. We’ll be accessing the swimming pool and beach. As a result, the villa's entire floor will be wet when we arrive. We requested the caretaker to clean the trash cans after dinner. He refused to clear it up. After being reminded several times, he emptied the trash. We asked him to clean the hallway. He casually said that he’ll clean only once. Also we blocked the DJ speaker many days before but that was given outside for the rental on the day we checked in. The main highlight here is, IN THE MORNING, WATER STOPPED. With soap, our baby had to wait for a very long period. HE CASUALLY SAID THAT HE NEEDED TO TURN ON THE MOTOR. NO PROPER MAINTENANCE. IN THE HALL, THE SOFA COVER WAS TORN. BLANKETS HAD HOLES IN IT. NO PROVISION TO DRY UP THE CLOTHES. AS PROMISED, THEY DIDN’T PROVIDE THE SPEAKERS. NO TELEVISIONS NO DJs NO DOORMATS THE CHARGE OF A SINGLE ROOM FOR ONE NIGHT IS Rs.7000 – WHICH IS A TOTAL WASTE.

There are two villas. One oriented towards the sea with sea view. The other one towards a busy street which is only 10meters from the pool. Our villa was not properly cleaned and that was also not the case after we complained and demanded a second cleaning. We had cockroaches in and around the house and lots of mosquitoes. There is a rocky beach with very clean water and not a lot of people nearby. However, the way there is not prepared and there is no shade (no.umbrellas from the villa) whatsoever.

Booked villa with sea view, but they gave us the one with street view, the pool x 4 days it was not possible to use it due to x water turned green algae formed wi fi x 2 days it did not work, water leaks from a pipe, less bad that with our complaints they made us a fair refund

Nothing for weak nerves….

At first look the villa looked very nice and modern.

At second look it seemed different. The kitchen utensils were dirty. Ants were all over in the kitchen so we had to throw away a lot of food. Cooking was impossible for us because even after an hour the stove was not warm enough.

The bathrooms were partly dirty so we had to clean them ourselves again. The bracket of the shower was not stable so we could not hang up the shower head. Despite three showers, they could not be used at the same time, because the amount of water was not sufficient for everyone and the temperature changed by itself. Because of the water quality the bathrooms were very polluted by lime.

On the second day while showering we noticed that water leaked from the bathroom. The water ran into the bedroom, down the hall and through the wall and the lamp into the stairwell. We immediately contacted Nikos the owner about the situation. Nikos, reacted immediately and came to us after 1.5h. The next morning the problem was resolved in our view, only provisionally, because the rubber seal of the siphon was broken, but it was sealed only with silicone or acrylic. Later we were wrongly accused that this was our fault.

The bar of a door stock almost fell down, which could have ended dangerously.

After a few days we noticed that the water level dropped down by 15 cm. The next morning the pool cleaning staff informed us that the pump was defective. The water level dropped down so much that bathing was no longer possible. Despite frequent contact with Nikos the problem was eliminated only after two days. Finally we were able to swim again after three days.

Then we demanded a rent reduction because we could not use the pool for three days. Nikos further did not care about it and gave us any answer.

On the day of departure nobody appeared for the key. So we put the keys on a table in the villa and left.

SUMMARY:
We were very disappointed with our stay in the Blue Waves Villa. By the constant visit of the many craftsmen relaxation was partly not possible.
In our opinion the contact to Nikos was not serious because he did not answer regularly and he behaved unkindly in the end.
It's a pity that it happened like that. Because the outdoor area with pool and beach chairs and sea view was fantastic. Also to be assessed positively is the location of the house. The lonely and beautiful beach was only a few meters away, shopping and scooter rentals were about 5 km away.
