We have visited this hotel in August 2024. The staff was helpful, the location and the breakfast was good but the room we stayed in was very smelly and old. Make sure you check in and see the room you will stay before you PAY (ESPECIALLY SIDE ROOMS, NUMBER 121 and 122 are in really a bad condition).We were asked to pay in cash as soon as we came to the hotel, they said they need to collect the money before we go in the room, which I find really unprofessional .
You need to keep the doors closed to be able to use the air conditioning , if you open the door even for a second the air-conditioner would stop working. The price we paid was quite high for the standart of the room. I don't think I will go back again, I can easily find better hotels for the same price.

Very bad room condition with bad smell inside rooms.
Bath towels are very old and dirty.
Breakfast is very poor.
Hotel manager did not let kids to eat icecream on the hotel terrace.
Is my first time in Greece with this bad treatment from the hotel staff.

Owner of the hotel is very rude. He always shouts and do not know how to talk with customers. Breakfast is same every day and moderate. Beach is also good and they do not permit to drink anything from outside. They expect to buy everthing from their taverna.

The noise from the fans at the beach restaurant is terrible! All the fans are broken and make terrible noise. The personal is switching it on at noon time and switching it off at the evening. Poor customer experience at the beach! I kindly asked to repair it or not using it but the personal was rude. Also the music is loud.

We had a great time! Rooms are soundproof and AC is great for all night using which is very rare in Greecee where most AC aro blowing right in your head! Beach is qute, sometimes water gets dirty and sometimes is cristal clear. Location of the hotel is 4 just becouse Palio is like in the middle of a road, nowhere to walk, the place itself is not for reccomendation. The only minuses of the hotel itself are humidity in rooms couse you can make air circulate and the fact that only thing on a ground floor is reception and restaurant. For evrything else there are either stairs or downhill road. Sleep was great, beds and pillows are comfy. Angeliki is very helpfull, cleaning ladies are great. Thank you for lovely vacation.

What a super hotel !! Rooms lovely, clean , and comfy and staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, something for everyone. The hotel is right on the beach with plenty of sunbeds for everyone, water is shallow and lots of fish so great for children and snorkelling.

Porto Palio Beach hotel is a fantastic place for a private summer vacation in Greece. This quiet hotel offers quality vacation time. It has its own beach, with umbrellas and sun beds reserved for the hotel's guests. It has its own restaurants - one for lunch and dinner and one for breakfast. It is a very safe place for families with children. The hotel is well-maintained and has superb central air conditioning system. The staff, yes, the staff is friendly and well-trained. I would like to acknowledge the smiley front desk girl who was always ready to help. I strongly recommend this place to anybody who is fortunate enough to consider it as their vacation destination. Some tips to the manager:
- When the hotel is empty, provide your guests with the best rooms, with the best view, do not limit yourself and the staff with first-floor-restaurant-view rooms, even if your guests come from Bulgaria;
- Buy new bath towels!!! Old and smelly towels are an insult to the guests;
- The location is very good, but it does not compensate the bad breakfast. Greece is famous with the bakeries. Not with cheap food from the supermarket (e.g. mini croissants "7 days", and "homemade" no-fruit jam);
- Change the locks or change the keys! Especially for room No 3. Every time it was a 5-minute struggle to get in the room!
- Do not underestimate the Bulgarian tourists. They will always come back and bring more guests to your hotel, if they are happy with the service.

2star hotel with O star welcome - pro: kitchen staff are lovely, and so are the beach staff. Hotel is close to kavala and has it own beach but overcrowded with non-hotel people -CONs: We were greeted by the rudest receptionists ever. We had booked three rooms and one of them was not what we booked. When we showed pictures of our booking to the two blonde (aggressive)ladies, they said "well that room is not available. No one else complains. This isn't a tragedy." Mind you they gave us a sofa bed instead of proper bed, for my family including elderly father and mother. The treatment unfortunately ruined our week- and we had planned the holiday for months, as a family reunion. Zero apologies for the behavior, and quite the opposite they thought they were “upgrading” us and were really aggressive, rude and vulgar ladies. All we asked for what what we booked and some level of decency and respect for the holidaymakers. They fell extremely short. Such a shame. Shame really. Really shameful.

The seaview is mesmerizing!
I love how comfortable and neat the room turned out to be!
The beach is quiet, and when it comes to the sea, the water is crystal clear (you can even see tiny fish).
All members of staff were courteous and provided good service.
