Club Residence La Castellana Mare

We stayed in this village from 21/08 to 28/08. Badly maintained houses, the kitchen plinth came off by itself, the shower pressure was so low that it did not allow a normal shower. The bathroom drain was broken, we asked several times to repair it but in the end we had to use the buckets of water for a week. In the kitchen, every time the gas was turned on, we heard strange and frightening noises, we were afraid of blowing up several times. The only thing that can be saved is the animation, the guys were very kind and super helpful, the rest was bad.

THE NIGHTMARE HOLIDAY
we were guests of the structure this week, on our arrival the cottage of the residence was very dirty, they were dazed when we asked for linen (service that for us had to be included), the last evening we were cheered by the presence of a MOUSE and despite the video sent at 3 am to the staff NOBODY came to help us leaving us alone, with 2 small children, having to carry out the "mouse hunt" ... the TV did not work, furthermore drying the hair was a '
titanic undertaking: the power went out all the time, the only solution was to dry them in the dark with climate and all the lights off ... a terrible air conditioner, positioned in the bedroom, which kept you warm during the day and freezing at night without possibility to adjust it.
The animation was committed, for heaven's sake, BUT he spoke only in the Neapolitan dialect making it difficult for those like us, perhaps the only ones, not to come from Naples to understand the shows ...

It doesn't even deserve half a star ... never again

The structure is not bad but hospitality is definitely an optional. We travel a lot and I have never been treated with so little delicacy. We arrived on Saturday from the black stamp, on 7 August, after an 8-hour drive from Rome to Calabria. We slept only one night. Paid 200 euros for a triple. My children, of course, even though it was 7pm they asked to take a dip in the pool but we had to escape at 7:02 pm because the attendant had to close and nothing interested him about those children eager to play after an 8 hour drive. At the reception, the woman who welcomed us had agreed to be able to go to the beach the next day, to the lido, despite the check-in was at 10. But the next day, the same, once the payment has been collected with another 90 euros dinner at a canteen-quality restaurant, he forbade us to go to the beach and he didn't give us bracelets. Even the manager, when asked by my husband, didn't care. My children, who had had an hour of presentation of the beautiful program on the beach the night before, began to cry. We went to the beach free and were able to take a bath. But, of course, this facility will never see us again. Too bad, Calabria is beautiful. We will go to other facilities, hoping that we were just unlucky. Nothing to say about the staff: very nice cleaning ladies and also maitre and restaurant waiters. Much to say about the manager who cleared us in two seconds and the blonde haired receptionist. They should do other things in life. Hospitality is a subject unknown to them.

Immediately to the Caribbean beach and beach lifeguard of the hotel very good very competent and welcoming, view of the spectacular sunset. Negative points:
Really 80's 2-star breakfast.

Beautiful pools but closed in the hottest hours, and then they clean the pools on Saturdays and open at 13 practically the most beautiful pool closed on the day where a vacationer wants to relax, and instead finds finds the maintenance workers, to take the bags and go away immediately. Positive reception is welcoming. Anyway, vote 0 on vacation we don't want timetables ...
