Best Western Hotel Rocca

Large bedroom nice & clean, good bathroom .The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Stayed 6 nights and found the hotel both functional and comfortable. Slept well in a comfy bed. Housekeeping was excellent and the staff worked hard to provide a great service.

Room with A/c, fridge, tv etc is OK, bathroom large with walk-in shower and bidet.

Hotel is popular with large tour groups passing through on WW2 visits to battle sites.

Ideally located out of town for this purpose but walking to town is not easy with no formal footpath. There is a regular bus service into Cassino, which takes minutes, with a stop outside hotel.

Top Tip:- Some rooms with a beautiful view up to Monte Cassino Monastery. Might be worth asking for a room with a balcony and this view.

Adjacent large sports Center and Aqua Park is attract many to hotel too.

Large restaurant - Tip:- A carafe of quite drinkable house wine only 6€ which seemed very reasonable to us.

Our Fixed Dinner Menu each day was frankly DREADFUL

The hotel is decent. Rooms are clean and decent prices. The service was less than remarkable. Receptionist wanted to keep our photo IDs while we went to the room. We waited for the IDs instead. Once we were in the rooms, the receptionist and manager came to the room accusing us of having too many people in the room. We had to provide our reservation to show we were correct and no apology given. We will not be staying here again.
