Hotel Impero

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give honest comments. The hotel room was not adequate. the room is too small, barely any room to set the luggage, the desk too small to set the laptop and work comfortably, the Nespresso coffee machine was always on the way, taking lots of room on the desk, there are not enough electrical outlets on the desk for cell phones, laptops, tablets and other items that need charging. The bed was too hard, my wife complained that her back would ache every morning after sleeping on the bed. The bathroom shower has to be the worse shower stall in Italy, it was hard to bend over to pick up anything that fell off while taking a shower, sometimes you would move and the hose from the shower would change the faucet position and you either froze or burn with the water. The towels were old and had little fur left. We had to constantly steal toilet paper in the mornings to make it last over the night. Breakfast was not that good, every morning was the same products, no surprises, boring; cappuccino was good, but the scrambled eggs never look good unless a new batch was added to the tray and the fruits looks like they purchased fresh fruit once a week, the bananas looked so sad and old and in my opinion the two dining hall ladies are overworked and cannot keep up with all the tables, the last day, all the tables were full and the two ladies could not keep up. About the room location, the nights turn to a carnival every night with the bars down on the street, we could hear the noise all night long, and if it was not the noise form the party goers then it was the folks setting up the market early in the morning, and then there was the workers renovating the top floor, banging hammers early in the morning. The service was OK, we found the room nice and clean when we returned late in the afternoon from our travels. The Front Desk clerks were polite, although one of the clerks refused to make a lunch reservation to a near by restaurant for the following day.
