TUI MAGIC LIFE Calabria Hotel

We stayed in a private lodge at TUI Magic Life Calabria and were thoroughly impressed. The accommodation, as well as the food and drink options, were excellent. The staff are extremely attentive and polite, and both the resort and our room were always spotlessly clean. Maintenance staff were constantly working to keep everything in top condition.

The entire Calabria TUI Team, including the animation crew, work tirelessly to ensure guests have the best possible experience. A special thank you to Annalisa—the “superwoman” who truly made this holiday memorable for us—and to Antonella at the Lodge Bar, who was always professional and smiling, even during the busiest times.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this resort!

Imagine Centre Parcs in the sun, with a beautiful beach accessed through a wooded area, well tended grounds , numerous pools and activities galore.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
There is plenty of hot water.
The air conditioning is noisy and ineffective.
All inclusive food and options to eat in alternative restaurants too.
Food and drink quality good.
Dining area, can get very busy It is often difficult to get a seat and there are long queues at some of the self service food stations.
Bar staff are generally friendly and efficient.
It is in a remote location with nothing in the surrounding area.
A coach trip to the lovely town of Pizzo costs €10 return, and you get to spend 3 hours there which for most people will be plenty.

Had an amazing experience with the watersports and windsurfing team at TUI Magic Life! The highlight was definitely the top-notch guidance from Roberto and Ignazio — both incredibly professional, patient, and passionate about what they do. I had amazing conditions to windsurf in with very good kit. Whether you're a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, they make learning fun and safe. The equipment is in excellent condition, and the setting is perfect for water activities. Highly recommend booking a session — you’ll be in great hands with Roberto and Ignazio!

We enjoyed our stay. There is a nice short walk through forest to the beach. The resort offers a many activities (cycling, tennis, etc). The food was fantastic, tasty and a lot of variety. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. The sound proofing could be better as we could hear people passing early/ late by our room when we wanted to sleep :)

Absolutely lovely place, food was great, everywhere was immaculate. There was a great team there that were up early cleaning the whole hotel from top to bottom every morning. It felt super safe everywhere you went in the hotel. The beach was absolutely amazing! And the walk through the forest to the beach was great!

The hotel is lovely would highly recommend a stay here. All of the staff are friendly and hard working. Checkin was very efficient, a whole bus full of people turn up at once which they have to deal with. We were served and in our rooms in no time at all and it was well before checkin time, although I know not everyone room where ready. The day before you leave you need to pay the tax, we didn’t know about this so thought I would warn others. It was 2eur per person per night when we stayed. Rooms We stayed in the private lodge which is for 16+ It was definitely worth the extra. Our room had a coffee machine with coffee pods, kettle and fridge containing soft drinks and beer. This was replenished daily. We had clean pool towels delivered to our room every evening. We had a lovely terrace overlooking some flowers. I found the block we stayed in to be noisy in a morning people did just let their doors bang and it just seemed to be constant by 8-8.30. Food We mainly ate in the private lodge dining area. I found the food to be excellent, great variety and to a high standard. You are served drinks at your table but they are so busy we normally went and got our own after the first drinks. At dinner there is always a pre dinner drink to try. Activities There is lots of activities to try and you can do as much or as little as you like. Whilst we were there we did Archery, Football, Table tennis, Pool, Darts, Canoeing, Shuffle board, Water polo, Fitness classes. Sitting by the pool in the private lodge is lovely and quiet and there is a bar for you to select a drink. The evening entertainment I thought was poor, there was nothing other than a few dance shows. There was someone playing the piano at the private lodge bar some nights which was nice. Trips We got the shuttle bus down into Pizzo at 10eur each for a return trip. It goes 3 times a day and you get 3 hours there. We went to the chapel of Piedigrotta.

We came here in 2023 (adults only area) and thought it was wonderful. We went to Haldakiki last year. We were so disappointed with the food and apathy of staff that we returned here earlier this month. The food was exceptional. In fact there is nothing I can criticise about this hotel. Staff are amazing. Anna-Marie in the pool bar and the lady that is in the evening bar are brilliant. They remember what you drink and always with a smile. I had asked for a room overlooking the pool but on arrival this was not the case. I spoke to Reception that day and was reallocated a room the next day. We packed up and within 5 minutes our cases were at our new room which was absolutely fantastic. The cleanliness of the whole resort is out of this world. A word of caution when visiting Pizzo the hills are extremely steep but still worth a visit. Airport needs some improvement. I look forward to returning.

2nd time at this resort. We wanted a quieter relaxing holiday generally with something more lively should we wish and that is exactly what they provide. Once again had a lovely room (8109) in the Adult Private Lodge section. Rooms are a little on the small side but are very clean, modern and well equipped. The adult pool area is one of the nicest we have seen with a huge pool ( a little slippy on entering so take care), is very spacious with plenty of sunbeds, has a nice pool bar serving various drinks and cakes in the afternoon, and direct access to to the adult restaurant. The restaurant doesn’t have a massive choice but there is enough variation to suit everyone. The adult night bar is very, very laid back and quiet with occasional musicians. Staying in the Private Lodge section also gives you access to the family section which as the name suggests is full of families- great for kids. Large pool, water park, restaurant, bar and lots of lively night-time entertainment. There’s plenty of activities going on throughout the day for all - download the App for info. You can also book the speciality restaurants the week before you go through the App. The beach - via a walk through a lovely pine forest - is again very spacious with plenty of sunbeds. It starts sandy at the back but by the time you get to the sea it’s shingle and pebble so take sea shoes. Both the beach snack bar and the Wonderbar have self serve stations for wine and beer, but if you want something more exotic the bar staff are happy to provide. The Pinseria restaurant at the beach ( actually the snack bar converted in the evening) only serves pizza but is great to catch the fabulous sunsets. Don’t miss the beach BBQ on Sunday with a great live band. Also the beach party on Monday and White party on Thursday (don’t forget to pack your whites) are very lively and great for a boogie. The only negatives we have is that this time for some reason we were troubled by mosquitos at night ( not the hotels fault ) so make sure you take repellents as a precaution, and if you want to explore it’s a little isolated, but that’s not what we wanted so it didn’t bother us. On the whole, we would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Spent a week at magic life calabria couldn't fault it food good room comfortable always managed you get a sun bed pool was lovely,entertainment good ,near beach but takes about 10 min to walk and it's a mixture of sand and pebbles so very hot to walk on,watersports available but we didn't as it was extremely hot,all in all I would recommend only back point is there is nowhere to go outside hotel as it's quite isolated but we didn't mind too much as it was so hot we just chilled around the pool,granddaughter loved the splash park and cocktails available at pool bar were the staff were very hard working and polite

We returned to TML Calabria for the second time and it didn't disappoint. If anything, it was even better this time! We spent most of our time lounging by the pool in the Private Lodge. Anna Maria always had a big smile and a song at the pool bar. The food was incredible 😋, lots of pizza and pasta freshly made, fresh fruit and loads of sea food options. We ventured around the resort and sampled the daybeds at the beach 10/10. The staff all work so hard and are friendly and helpful. We came home totally relaxed and rested and can't wait to do it all again next year. We've found our wee slice of paradise😍😍.
