Hotel Moresco

I wouldn’t stay in this hotel, and feel other people should know of our experience. I stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon. It was the worst decision. This is by no means a 4 star hotel. We told them well in advance that this was our honeymoon, and they did nothing special for us. We didn’t mind that initially but then the service we received was terrible afterwards so we actually complained about it and was told that the owner decided not do anything (interesting).

Parking in the hotel is €20 a night which is extortionate.

We had a very annoying loud sound coming from the balcony above us on 2 of the nights and we asked reception if they could do something about it. 3 times we called and 3 times they told us they “will check”. No changes. 2 sleepless nights because of this.

The rooms were very basic with no things such as robes, cups etc.

One day we requested a massage - the reception staff suggested a lady that comes to the rooms to do a massage. We went ahead with this, and were given a price list. We then went to pay at reception and the receptionist told us a different price. She told us “the prices changed yesterday”. And we said no, we are paying the price we were given on the price list.

It felt like all they wanted to do was con us out of our money.

On the last day we were checking out, we had an early ferry, and asked if we can take away some items from breakfast with us. We were told we would have to pay extra (despite paying for breakfast with the room).

And then even on our way out, as we were putting our bags in our car, the reception lady ran out to ask us if we can come back in to settle the bill. We told her we had already paid last night… She could have simply checked on her records.

Overall, the only good thing about this hotel was the beach next to it. That is literally it. Otherwise, it was a horribly overpriced stay in a fairly basic 2-3 star hotel.

This place definitely didn't deserve its 4-star rating. The high prices aren't justified by what you get in return. The only positive aspect was the friendly reception staff, specifically two welcoming girls.

However, there were several downsides: they charge 20 EUR per day for dogs, plus an additional 40 EUR for cleaning. The breakfast was very basic, and the room didn't match the pictures advertised online. Simple amenities like a bottle opener or glasses for drinks were missing.

The hotel offers access to a recreation area, but it's divided into two sections—one with free sunbeds and another costing 30 EUR per day. The free section is on a hill, making it impossible to lay your chair flat without it sliding down. If you leave your sunbed for more than an hour, the staff will remove your towels, and you might find someone else in your spot when you return. Quite inconvenient, right? Also, hotel guests aren't allowed to use the public beach for anything other than swimming, as putting towels on the sand is prohibited.

Please make sure you AVOID this so called four stars hotel. Facts: horrible service from an incredibly arrogant staff, noisy and bad functioning AC, the food is to be avoided absolutely if you respect your taste and health! The view is to be discounted by the FALSE pool (can you actually believe that?). You will pay the high price for this VERY bad souvenir. Stat away.

This hotel honestly deserve one star.
The food is absolutely disgusting, the rooms smell bad (bad air conditioning), the pool is ONLY for the decoration of the restaurant (I’ve never seen that before) and the staff is rude. Very bad experience, I don’t recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is far from a 4-star experience, more akin to a 1-star. It lacks hospitality, customer service, and cleanliness. The staff were shouting at the parking entrance, there was no food available upon request, no towels at the beach, and overall, the place was very dirty. Everything was extremely disappointing.

Worst hotel, please don’t stay here. Ruined our holiday.

Hotel has a great location but that’s about it.

Insane charges for everything in addition. Expect your bill to double.

Dogs are basically not allowed anywhere but your room and there are insane addition charges for the dog. Completely out of proportion.

Pool cannot be used and is just for looking at it.

At breakfast you were constantly surrounded by 30 bees attacking you.

Some of the food had insect eggs on them.

Breakfast was poor for a 4 star hotel and always half empty unless you get there in the first hour of opening.

The deluxe room you couldn’t even open the windows as it was below street level and next to the kitchen smells and the aircons.

We paid for a Superior Room but we had a Classic Room. Where's the extra bed and overlook the city ?
