We spent 2 nights in Planet Bhaktapur upon arrival in Nepal and it was a great experience. From the well-arranged pick-up from the airport to the last minute before we left. All staff were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. The motto of the team is that visitors are part of the family and that was indeed the feeling we got.
We had not planned anything specific for the second day but Yagya, the manager, offered his services as a guide and we had a great day visiting a nearby temple and of course beautiful Bhaktapur. In the evening we had a surprise invite to join the kitchen staff to make momo's for dinner. This was a nice culinary learning !
Overall, great place, nice rooms, good meals and perfect service !!

Planet Hotel was a really great choice for our trip to Nepal. After 2 days spent in the caothic city of Kathmandu we moved into this hotel in Bhaktapur, just outside the city. It is located few kilometers from Kathmandu and is just the right distance to reach all the different artistic marvels present around the capital. The value for money is outstanding. A building submerged in the countryside where you are welcomed by its kind personnel and clean rooms, not to talk about the delicious typical food served.. If you dont' know who to speak to in order to plan your tours the hotel provides its guests with competent guides and drivers who will take you wherever you want and if you don't know where to go they will help you planning your visits. Their knowledge of the Italian and English language was also a really helpful thing in our journey.

This is a jewel in the heart of a very special location, Bhaktapur, the ancient City of Devotion. Just a short ride away from Kathmandu, Planet Bhaktapur Hotel can be used as a base for all your sightseeing to the capital and the surroundings, as well as any other trekking you wish to do. Attentive and friendly care is the signature of this hotel where its personnel has many years of experience in caring for tourists and making each vacation a memorable one making you want to come back for more! The restaurant on location, La Bella Nepali, offers traditional Nepali food as well as Italian lips licking dishes. As you walk into the hotel it transpires the managers' deep love for the country of Nepal through the rich and amazing display of local handicrafts and you can't help but fall in love with the country and its welcoming people. The personnel has been of great help in planning my improvised stay in Nepal, for that I am really thankful.

Hotel Planet in Bhaktapur is a rare gem, a unique place, not only in Nepal, but in the world. We spent just a few nights here (unfortunately) and it felt like home. I highly recommend to stay at this place if you're travelling to Nepal, not only because it's a lovely place but also because you'll feel at ease and you'll be warmly welcomed. Francesco, Naresh and all the people that work there are incredible, everyone is really kind and attentive. Also, they will organise everything for you if you want to, they've a deep knowledge of all Nepal of course, so you're in good hands! They took us around Bhaktapur and Kathmandu valley to visit temples and monasteries and they perfectly organised our four-days trekking in Mardi Himal (such an amazing experience!).
The hotel is beautiful, nicely decorated with a lovely garden outside where you can rest and enjoy a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Our room was very clean, nice and cosy and the bed was really comfortable. Last but not least, the food was the best we had in Nepal, delicious, so tasty!
Make sure to stop here if you're travelling to this wonderful country because you'll never forget this little piece of paradise.

For staying in Kathmandu region before leaving to Pokhara for trekking we decided to stay in Bhaktapur and travel one day to Kathmandu. This was a good decision - especially becaue of great Hotel Plant Bhaktapur.
A small oasis beside crazy city Kathmandu and Bhaktapur (which is beautiful but chaotic also). The rooms are clean, the restaurant is very good (we chose the "Nepali menu" both evenings - a "bigger Dal Bhat" with Curd as desser - great!) and the service is really great! We got countless tipps for travelling, they booked our domestic flights (much more cheaper than from Germany), they organized shuttle from/to airport and private shuttle for sightseeing.
Can't think of any better place for first days in Nepal. Thank you!!!

Has good food both local and continental. Good ambience. Its quiet here. Away from city but has a great view of city and the outskirts with himalayas.

I was there with my office team for a meeting followed by other events. The place turned out to be a delightful treat. I felt very close to nature and the ambiance itself made me feel at peace. Honestly, the place was apt for our mental health workshop event which turned out to be one of the successful events that day. The service and food was again something to praise for. I definitely wish to visit ‘Hotel planet’ again.
