Apple A Day Resort Krabi, Beach - SHA Extra Plus

We are extremely disappointed with our recent stay. Upon arrival, we were forced to pay an additional 200 THB per night for our 7-year-old child, despite not given an extra bed.. Staff claimed this fee was listed on the website, but on Trip.com, it only mentions charges for extra beds. We were charged 600 THB total, and even a 50 THB fee was demanded for an extra towel. The staff were unhelpful and rude, repeatedly blaming us for "not reading" terms and giving inconsistent explanations. One even pretended to be new staff. To make matters worse, the bathroom door in our room was faulty where my child and husband got locked in three times. This was extremely distressing, especially for our young child.
At the kids club, our children were scolded harshly for jumping and running which is expected to be the basic behavior in a play area. When we questioned the staff, she excused it by saying she had a sore throat. No apology was given, and the attitude toward our children was unacceptable. This hotel’s online presentation is misleading. The poor hospitality and lack of accountability completely ruined our vacation. We expected better, especially for a family-friendly resort. Staff behavior and the management of facilities were unacceptable.

The hotel is in no way four star hotel. The hotel does not feel like a hotel it feels like an apartment. Upon reaching the hotel you will feel as if you've come to some ordinary residential building. Your room card stops working and does not give you entry to your room. The water in the shower area as well as the basin gets clogged and accumulated. Reception and housekeeping will not even give you an extra bottle of drinking water. If you walkin at the reception and ask for bottle of drinking water they will show you the fridge from which you can pick up & buy a bottle. On the morning of the day when you are checking out they will not send anything to your room.... that's the official policy as per their reception staff. If there are two guests in the room they will just give you two tea bags and two creamers and that's all, they will not give you even a single extra tea bag or creamer.... even if you request for it at the reception. The room is decent & comfortable & the balcony is good. This hotel is more expensive as compared to the other hotels and frankly its not worth the price. Also Ao Nang (Krabi) is not a destination that I would recommend to people in Thailand because there are many better beachside destinations in Thailand like Phuket, Koh Samui, Phi Phi and Koh Phangan.
