I recently stayed at ibis Samui, and I must say it exceeded my expectations for an affordable stay. The hotel offers stunning views, especially at night with the serene sea ambiance adding to the charm. The dining experience was delightful, with a good variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and delicious.
The ambiance throughout the property is cozy and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with thoughtful little touches that make you feel at home. Waking up to a beautiful ocean view was definitely a highlight.
For the price, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be coming back for another relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for budget travelers looking for quality without breaking the bank!

Value for money is the best description of this hotel. Prices are reasonable for stay, food and drinks, etc. Location is reasonably good as it is not far from restaurants, fisherman’s wharf, massage and convenience stores while a direct access to the beach makes it perfect. Expect that all would be just a bit less than one may want but it reflects the price paid and is just adequate. Clean and maintained reasonably well…

I initially wanted to give 5 stars, but unfortunately, I was not impressed with the service. I don’t blame the staff, as I understand it’s a policy. I simply asked for one more bottle of water to my room , but they insisted on charging me 40 baht. I was surprised, so I confirmed again, and the staff member confirmed that they would only give two bottles. I was disappointed because I am an annual member of Accor Plus , and usually, at other locations, they don’t charge for extra water. I was also surprised by the charge for just one bottle of water.
Additionally, I had informed them via email that I would arrive around a certain time, but my room was still not ready. I understand this, and it didn’t bother me but my luggage no one take care of this I have to bring by myself.
As for the bar and food, the prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. I have to compliment the restaurant staff, as their service was excellent.
It’s a shame because I really wanted to give a 5-star rating, but the issue with the water left a bad impression. I think the hotel should consider the importance of honoring members more carefully.
Additionally, I had informed them via email that I would arrive around a certain time, but my room was still not ready. I understand this, and it didn’t bother me but my luggage no one take care of this I have to bring by myself.

Just stayed here for 6 nights (originally booked 4 nights and extended 2 more nights). Room was clean , there was constantly staff cleaning and gardening. The service at the front desk and bar was superb, super nice people. They let us stay free of charge until 14:00 because our flight was late, which is a very kind gesture. The bathroom for the basic room is very small, and the shower’s grout could use a deep cleaning. But other than that- we loved everything about this hotel.

Good location, beach front, easy access to 7-Eleven, food, etc. Parking is ample if you drive. Guest service was good. We booked 2 rooms and were able to get a room to check in at 1130am. while the second room we got after our lunch outside. Room size is not too big but sufficient, bathroom slightly smaller but manageable. Breakfast was OK, not great, but no complaints. The pool is nice, and they also have a massage hut by the pool. The beach is nice to walk and swim in. We had dinner at the Pool Bar, and the food was amazing. Overall, I was happy with our stay here. Maybe only drawback is our block does not have a lift, but the staff were able to assist us with our luggage but if I have mobility issue then I would recommend for you to inform the hotel during booking, maybe to get a lower level room.

Location wise, it's one of the best ibis I've ever stayed at.The reception and restaurant staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Few things that I didn't like:
1.Air Conditioning is loud
2.The room is very dim. The filter on the window makes it darker .
3.Room is not soundproof,if your neighbour decides to play music loud in the middle of the night,you won't be able to sleep.
4.Breakfast Is good but it's the same thing everyday
Lastly this is not a bad point but in case you want a kid free zone,it's mostly a family resort so there's a lot kids around.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel.I was able to have a late check out which is accomodating as I had a late evening flight

Short review: Would I stay here again? No way!!!

The aircon sounds like an aeroplane about to take off. It's such a horrible sound and having to listen to it whenever you're in the room is so depressing. It's not easy to fall asleep with the noise.
The sea view rooms are not worth it. There is a film on the windows that makes the room feel dark and makes it look gloomy outside all the time. The window is also small.
The breakfast, well, it's not horrible, apart from the coffee which is so bad but luckily there is a really amazing coffee shop across the road. The food is so repetitive, the dishes do not change. The quality is ok, nothing fantastic. Just something to fill your stomach.
The bed is really comfortable and big. The room was very clean.
The staff are friendly and willing to assist. They gave us a 1 hour late check out which we appreciated.
The music at the bar is so bad, really kills the mood at the pool. They need to play more upbeat and uplifting music. The manager needs to visit Karma Beach Club or one of the other surrounding hotels to see how they create a good atmosphere for their guests.
Lots of kids everywhere so if you're looking for a hotel where you can relax and not hear kids, avoid it!

The hotel is beautiful from the outside. Rooms - small, there was little space to store clothes, the bathroom was neglected - it was tidy, but mold on the tiles is not a good business card. The room had a 200-year-old air conditioner that was extremely noisy on the 1st! If we turned off the air conditioner in the room, there was a stench and a musty smell - we even had wet walls! The walls are so thin that you can literally hear everything, we couldn't sleep two nights in a row because some couple was arguing very loudly he was afraid When we asked at the reception, what is happening at night, whether they are solving it, that others are disturbing the peace of the night, we were only told that they know about it. In my opinion, this hotel wanted so many rooms for rent that it didn't look at what the room would look like. The beach near the hotel is terrible! No sunbeds by the beach, a brothel, stairs to the beach a disaster. Breakfast: the same all over again after a few days you will not like it. I would recommend this hotel for one night no more, there are many things that need to be fixed to make the hotel good. Do not give to be deceived, many photos added by the hotel to the site - some things are not even there.

We stayed only for a night…. Fortunately!!
We could not have slept another night due to the horrible sound of the room air condition !
Similar to having a compressor on in your room!
I live in Thailand, but never had such noise; very old system.
This is a low cost hotel; come only if you have a good deal.
And do not pay in advance all nights, in case you could not stay anymore more.
We were a group of 5 rooms, the others had the same issue, one of them even had to change room in middle of the night due to non working air conditioning; other had non functioning fridge.
I do not like to write negative reviews, as I know there is a manager and team working daily with the means they have, but I prefer others potential customers to be aware.
There are a few good aspects here; friendly staff, clean hotel and room, beds ok.
But clearly would need significant renovation and new modern air conditions.
Average breakfast. Did not try restaurant.
Insufficient beach chairs in afternoon, none on the beach (?!).
Not possible to swim in pool ; too small
During our stay, the sea water was absolutely unclear , not pleasant, not enjoyable.
Not sure if that is seasonal (?).

The hotel location was amazing! The pool area was overlooking the ocean and the view was incredible during evenings. Hotel staff was helpful as well. Only issue is that the rooms were quite small and gym was the size of my bedroom. This was like an apt hotel for a 3* and the price range
