Loft Mania Boutique Hotel

Stayed here before on pre night before heading to the islands for diving. Looks cool, nice rooms, well maintained..., a nice little spot. HOWEVER, let's talk prices in the restaurant. They want 110 thb for a large beer Singha. Too bad the same beer is 70 thb across the street at the cool little mom and pop grocery store and 90 at the cool little restaurant about 50 meters down the street. And there's not even the "convenience factor" of them bringing you a beer. You have to get it out of the fridge and open it yourself. Sorry guys, you aren't on the beach, you aren't special, and you're in the middle of a boring little town during rainy season. You obviously cater to tourists who don't know any better. That price is ridiculous and insulting to people who live in Thailand full time. Won't be back. The other thing is if one were to read below at the not-so-good reviews, you'll see that they don't even respond. Which means, they don't care. It's really too bad in that, this could be a gem of a place. Check out their competition just down the street. You lost a loyal customer today.

See picture of my “city view balcony”…. It’s just a window into the hallway… I paid extra for a nicer room. And there’s no hot water in the shower. Would not recommend this hotel. I’ve been to Chumphon many times, and other nearby hotels are much better.

At first glance, the rooms are nice and clean, but the building design is terrible. Forget about soundproofing, there is none! You will hear the sounds of the street, the corridor, the TV from the next room and their voices all night. And the most unpleasant thing is the low-frequency hum of the air conditioner unit. I do not recommend it.
