Navarat Heritage Hotel

Of course it's a decent hotel in a convenient location, Reception is always friendly and sometimes anglophone, and I might come back. But when you look upriver just 70 kms, there is the Viang Tak in Tak town in the same market segment, in a very comparable location, but clearly better in several departments.
What I didn't like exactly in the Navarat in Kamphaeng Phet: you get a real key with a big key tag that you are supposed to carry around or drop at reception (no handy key card); the room door isn't locked automatically when you close it, but you always have to lock it manually from either side; light switch and electric socket not next to bed, but a little away; every day you have to type in a new Wi-Fi username and password; no notepad and pen; no sign “please make up room / do not disturb” (room service everyday even if unwanted); electricity off when you go out; very noisy central air condition, cannot be controlled from bed (no window aircon); no laundry bag, laundry form (but efficient economic laundry); only blackout curtain, no semi-transparent extra curtain; no mirror in lift; car park seemingly without security, with too small trashbin, staff parks in the best, shaded places.
My main peeve is the very noisy, not remote-controllable aircon. My room in the 4th of five or 6 floors was either too hot or too noisy, always.
And then the door that doesn't lock automatically: You lie awake at midnight and hear a party on the corridor. You wonder, did i lock, or will some drunkard now enter my space? You get up again and check if the door is locked or not…
