The grounds are really nice and relaxing. Great for walking around and playing. The breakfast was very mellow and yummy. Highly recommend
Now the trees are 30+ years old and provide permanent shade so you can walk along the pathways and view the tropical birds and take in the beauty of it all. I just can't thank the original designer of this place enough, you deserve an ecological award for designing and maintaining a Masterpiece!
I just spent a wonderful week there, the first time back since 2016 and it's only become more beautiful, with the maturing of the majestic trees and gardens. The Spa has excellent, professional massage (Thank You Khun Puen!), there is a remodeled swimming pool, and things are still so well maintained overall. The front desk staff and everyone else, is excellent.
The only negatives are:
It is isolated so there is nothing much to do outside of the resort, and the nearby town of Lat Ya is 8 km away and boring.
No handicap access so if you have mobility constraints, this is a poor choice.
Beds are somewhat hard and not as comfortable as I would like. Also, there are bright lights outside of the front doors in Garden Wing (I like Garden Wing best) and that light comes into the room at night, so you can't sleep in deep darkness. I'm not sure how to correct this, maybe update the lighting or put shade over the glass.
As times change, I understand there is a new owner that is a good business person. As such, European tourists come in big groups on guided tours, all of whom are like 70+ years old who come and go on their trips through Thailand. It creates a situation where independent travelers who are not part of the group, are surrounded by a big group but they seem to come one day and leave the next. It's a bit strange but not a problem I just thought I'd mention it.

Second good good thing is you can actually view the river far from the room and can go to the river and can swim if it is legal. I am not sure about swimming but I easily dip my feet and water is very clear and warm.
Its very nice resort. I will go back again when I get time.
Now not bad but annoying thing is I can hear all the shouting and talking that going on my adjacent room. Also food choice for breakfast is very limited. I would just just say even 3 star hotel offer more food choice and milk for the breakfast where as this is rated as 4 star. Thanks
A heads-up for those who enjoy hot showers: the hotel's water heating system isn't very effective.
What a missed opportunity! The hotel has a seasonal organic vegetable and fruit garden, yet it's not promoted. I spotted the garden beds while strolling and anticipated finding their fresh produce on the menu, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
