Khao Sok Nature Resort

Loved this place. Sleeping in treehouses and awesome spot on the river to swim and tube. Owner is really nice and you can build campfires at night. My kids really loved it here. We will definitely come back.

The tree houses are very basic but clean, the location is fantastic and the staff are really helpful, beyond expectations! The food in the restaurant is very good, proper home made food, fresh and really cheap. Really recommend it.

A great experience! Tree houses are basic but so peacefull. The staf is beyond friendly and helpfull. And the food is more then ok. The only "problem" that we had is that everything we had became humid. We stayed for about a week and all our clothes were humid. No disaster and quite normal for the area we were in. But just something to keep in mind. If you want to visit Khao Sok. I would definitely try this place.

Very nice treehouse, basic but in the middle of nowhere which is very enjoyable. Staff friendly and eager to help.

It's a great place for families with children. The near river is good for swimming and other activities. The kitchen is also very good, especially if you compare it to food served at the coast resorts.

Very helpful staff. They helped arrange a full day trip on the lake and our transfer to our next place. Food was good and they had a large variety of dishes. The cabins were beautifully located and well kept.

On the driveway towards the resort’s entrance is a sign that reads « back to the nature » and that’s exactly what this place is about. The resort is far from then village (about 4.5 km or 40 mins walk) and the rooms are actual tree houses, so basic construction with no insulation from the outside. Bathroom is en suite but outdoors in most rooms with the floor made of small stones and it is difficult to get any hot water (to note the water supply gets turned off at night). Food at the restaurant is good without being exceptional. But the staff is nice, except for Mr. T who was very distant in the only interaction we had with him. A big watchout though is what is advertised on their website versus what you really get. We had the Mountain View tree house which was advertised on their website at 1’500 THB per night yet the quote Mr. T gave us over e-mail was 1’600 THB. Also the site was mentioning an aircon when in fact it was a mere fan. In other words, do not expect much confort. This property is really about sleeping in the jungle (with so much humidity nothing ever dries, sheets included) so if that isn’t your thing, go to a different property. We consciously went there but three nights was our limit, then we really needed some comfort. Also, I personally find the place very expensive for what you get. Just for perspective, for the same price in Bangkok, you get a 4 star hotel, with a large room and bathroom, aircon, large breakfast buffet and rooftop terrace with a view. Nice for the experience but I personally would not go back.
