Cashew Nut Bungalow, Ko Mook

Stayed here a while back. One of the loveliest hosts I've come across, went right out of his way to show me around the Island! Genuine person. Koh Mook is a lovely little island as well, not too touristy. Worth a visit.

Tents are good and are sealed to prevent mosquitoes getting in. Bungalows are also nice, well kept and good secure mosquitoe net.

Stay here if you wish to connect with the island and the people on it. 11/10

Great location and comfort considering it‘s a tent. But what really makes it 10/10 is the engagement of the owner who genuinely wants you to have a great time on the island and is so happy to help with everything you want to do, going as far as helping you to get to your next destination.

A wonderful stay here, on a very pleasant island and with a great host. He dedicates his time to his guests between transport (from one end of the island to the other), activities (sunset, kayaking and a good lesson in billiards) and meals (barbecued fish with rice). The place is pleasant, the price is very competitive, communication is fluid and the memories indelible. Thank you very much, I recommend the cashew nut bungalow !

If I enjoyed my trip to Ko Mook it was entirely because of P' Yai.

First of all, P' Yai's accommodation, though simple, is comfortable and cosy, with a beautiful garden where you can relax, and hear the birds singing. The facilities were clean (I was the only guest during my stay but still), great location and great price.

Second of all, P' Yai really went the extra mile, and reading the other reviews I agree with them. He planned activities for me and ensured that I had something to do during the off season. We went to some cool spots on hikes, explained to me the local life, some places aren't even on the map yet.

If I have the chance to come back to Ko Mook I'm definitely staying here again.

We had a great stay at cashew nut villas in one of the tents. The beds are proper mattresses and very comfortable. Shared bathroom that does the job and the location is very central to town and easy to walk to the pier and nearby restaurants

Above all the host is mega friendly and makes you feel welcomed. He helped us book a tour for the day after we checked in which was good fun as well as taking us to sunset beach. He also helped us book a ferry to koh lanta and took us to the pier on time.

Overall I’d definitely recommend staying in the tents and adding something different to your Thailand trip!

Such a great experience staying here! I fully agree with the other reviews; Yai is an amazing host who really tries to ensure that his guests have a great time. Every time I took his advice it was as he would said it would be. The odd time I tried to pick places on my own, it wasn't nearly as good. He's very genuine and honest. Always going out of his way to be helpful and kind.
The property is so nice to stay on, either in the cabins or tents (tried both). The beds were comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Fans are in all accommodations as well as outlets that are on 24hrs a day. And in the morning there are so many different types of birds singing, you really feel like you're in paradise

We loved our stay here. Firstly, the owner is amazing and so helpful. He does absolutely everything and anything to help you. He picked us up from the pier for free and also took us to Charlie beach for sunset for free too. The tent was a great experience, even in high season it wasn’t too hot and when it rained everything stayed dry. He has really thought of everything and he always want to improve and assist with things to do around the island. He recommend multiple activities. Would definitely stay here again. We tried to extend our booking but unfortunately he was fully booked. 10/10

Such a nice place to stay, one of my favorites in Thailand! The owner Yai is so welcoming and extremely helpful with everything. He really goes out of his way to help you and make your stay on the island the best.
I stayed in both the bungalow and the tent and really enjoyed them both. If you’re a nature lover you’re gonna sleep well here, and you get a chance to see a lot of different birds hanging around in the cashew trees. I saw the oriental pied hornbill two times in the garden.

I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful place to stay.

Yai is an incredible and generous host with excellent advice on where to kayak and snorkel. He gave us lifts and even lent us his snorkel kit, and provided water to refill bottles.

Bungalow was beautiful timber, with very large bed, that stayed cool even without air-conditioning thanks to thatched roof, the shade of overhanging cashew nut trees, and powerful fan. The tents also looked like an excellent alternative for the budget conscious.
