Reviews
There is plenty of evidence of this resort stepping lighter on Planet Earth with, for example, all-electric buggies (tip: familiarise yourself with the pedestrian shortcuts, which will shrink the size), and absolutely minimalist plastic in evidence, with wood, rope, metal, ceramics, etc., providing more than capable substitutions.
The food is either caught fresh, or farm fresh, and rather delightful it is too.
The fitness and spa facilities are impressive, with a very capacious gym, equipped with decent pieces of machines and free weights.
We came very early in the season, so some facilities not yet open and there was a fair amount of construction going on, but the team looked after us and we had a great week here.
They decked out our suite special to celebrate our honeymoon.
Food, ambiance, staff, and overall experience was next-level.
Don’t forget to feed the cute dog Sunny who lives by the tennis court.
The pool villa was perfect, the service was in the highest standards you can think of and the food and beverage options were a 10/10 all throughout our stay.
For any family who look for an exceptional and unique stay, way different than the regular and standard family resorts in the area, Six Senses is the place to find it.
Thank you for an amazing and unforgettable stay, we will sure be back!
From the moment we touched down at Phuket, to the moment we left, we were very well looked after with Six Senses staff assisting us at every turn.
The speedboat ride from Phuket Marina to the island of Yao Noi was a great way to physically and metaphorically leave the world behind and begin adjusting to the quieter life that awaited amongst the natural beauty of the resort.
The luscious planting, colourful birds (including many pairs of hornbills!) and tropical butterflies provide a beautiful backdrop to the villas - each with private pools - offering a haven of relaxation in complete privacy as they are not overlooked. Although in need of a little updating, they are very comfortable and have everything you need. The pool, terraces and outdoor shower are particularly nice. The housekeeping and room services are very attentive yet discreet.
The views of the ocean and nearby islands are breathtaking, especially from the Hilltop restaurant. It's well worth getting up early to experience sunrise there.
We really enjoyed using the gym each morning before joining the complimentary yoga sessions to the soundtrack of the birdsong. The spa facilities are great and we enjoyed various specialist massages and treatments. Dr Aneesh, who overseas the wellness offering, is amazing - very experienced and knowledgeable yet approachable and friendly. His yoga sessions and treatments were the highlight of our stay.
We also particularly enjoyed a round-the-island tuktuk tour, which Mimi our GEM (Guest Experience Maker) booked for us. The guide was a local man and provided lots of interesting information and showed us a taste of real life outside the bubble of the Six Senses resort.
It was nice to be met by the hotel manager Sameer when we first arrived at the dock and Kahn the 'Living Room' restaurant manager is also well worth a mention. He worked very hard to look after us at breakfast, lunch and dinner, including a special James Bond film screening experience one evening. His team were all great.
Overall we had a wonderful time and would love to return. The island is small and not somewhere with loads of activities but enough to pass the time for a week or so. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful to relax and recharge, there's nowhere better.
Personal is fantastic always available ..the boat trip are just amazing .. the room is just a dream
Is an awesome hotel and I suggest to stay here in Thailand
Anyway we will come back for sure
I was here 3 years ago. All the details have not changed at all and have not been upgraded . Second time I don’t feel WOW when I entered to hilltop area … Unfortunately, time is running rapidly along with our requests and trends. Today, this resort needs a serious update, a new concept. Villas and hilltop area need to be renovated! But this is a global priority. What they can do now is change the air conditioners immediately, toilet can be electronic one and the main HILLTOP area already looks dirty and not tidy specially floor looks very dirty even its a concept.. its not relevant anymore..At dinner, such wooden tables and chairs are no longer relevant and looks ridiculous In 2024 even if its eco style resort . Diner is very important impression because it’s happening in the end of the day 1 time .. so its good to change look of the dining area specially for dinner time . I would like to see more delicate way to serve the table.… Unfortunately, the villas are not comfortable enough , the lighting is outdated.
What I love is:
- food and reasonable price
- Spa area
- Beach area
- Breakfast
- Service mostly very good
- daily ice cream is nice idea
- Comfortable bed ( pillows menu, mattress is perfect)
What sets this resort apart is its emphasis on exceptional dining, a rarity even among highly rated hotels. Nithan, their Thai restaurant, serves authentic southern Thai cuisine. The breakfast buffet offers high-quality Asian and Western options, predominantly made from scratch.
An unexpected delight is the specialty-grade coffee served throughout the premises, featuring a diverse selection of blends and single-origin choices.
Furthermore, the resort demonstrates unwavering commitment to sustainability, minimizing waste effectively.
However, the standout feature remains the staff and their exceptional hospitality. Each interaction is infused with genuine care, support, and a willingness to assist, recommend, or share. We will definitely be back again soon.
