Silver Beach Resort

Writing this review for the beach itself:

Very scenic and pretty beach with some decent snorkelling all around. Was very busy though, and were there outside high season. Would definitely recommend a visit though, especially with good weather. You can’t bring outside food or drink through the main entrance though, so just walk through the nearby resort… 😉

This Thai style hotel on a quiet bay is set right on the beach of the best swimming, paddle boarding and snorkeling on all of Koh Samui. A busy restaurant and bar with a great Thai and Western kitchen settles down in the evening to quiet by the sea nights. Lanai and Chaweang are nearby towns and the airport is about a thirty minute drive. Exceptional and personal The Silver Beach Hotel is the place of unforgettable memory making.

Rooms a right on one of the best beaches in Samui.
The residents only pool is a winner.
Food and drinks are lovely too.

We spent a relaxing afternoon at the silver beach resort. Cocktails were good and location is unbeatable. Service wasn't great - i had to go up to the bar quite a lot to ask for drinks despite there being a lot of servers around, and you have to pay for your drinks as you go (you aren't allowed a tab), which is a bit annoying but I understand they must have a reason for this (people running off without paying maybe!). It was probably the only place that we visited in the whole of thailand where the staff didnt make us feel 100% welcome but again, i appeeciate this is one of the most visited places on the island so they probably get their fair share of people taking advantage. We rented two sunbeds and a shade for 500 bhat for three hours which we thought was fair.

The beach is fantastic and the most beautiful part of the island, would recommend anyone to visit there.
We came to the hotel late at night so there wasn't much service, but the owner and the security man showed us our room which was very smelly (mold or something), I couldn't sleep the first night, at the morning we told the owner and she sent the cleaning ladies to our room and the problem was solved.
Rooms are quite large and roomy.
Restaurant was great, excellent service with good food and the balcony is almost perfect (need to trim some trees so the view would be perfect).
They got a pool that is pretty much on the beach that is for hotel guests only with the perfect view.
Would recommend anyone (familes and couples) to go there.
