Zara Beach Resort Koh Samui

The hotel is near the beach. You can walk to the sea. The rooms are clean and have a private swimming pool.

I loved everything about this place with the exception of the food and service. I had a room with multiple bedrooms and a private pool, right on the beach. The room was spectacular!
However, the menu is very limited and just not what I consider fine dining. And the service is very slow!
I would recommend staying here though!

A perfect spot for a getaway in Lamai. The room is comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The service was 10/10, staff were so helpful in assisting for airport pickups and activity planning and just general all round friendly and accomodating. Location is fantastic, right along lamai beach and super close to night markets. Can’t wait to come back!

Spacious clean comfortable rooms. Huge dining/lounge area. Nice plunge pool. Great beach access lovely clean water. Very calm for swimming.

Room wasn’t made up each day and due to the amount of trees etc, lots of mosquitoes. At night the only option was to spray mosquito spray and try to sleep with that smell. 
Not sure how they would fix that but, they need to look at something. Even swimming in the pool was awkward due to mosquitoes. 
Other than that, a very comfortable place and great location.

The Staff, specially the FO and Resort Manager Elaine was terrific, super responsive and proactive. I asked for electric mosquito repellents and she went out to buy them for us. The location was great, next to Lamai Beach, 100m to 711 store, flooded with restaurants and next to Lamai Night Market which was a bonus. The resort has independent villas, I think all has attached pool or jacuzzi. Breakfast was healthy choices only. Poor was mid size and good. Easy walking distance to everything, which was a big bonus!

Most of the hotel rooms looked refurbished, but our rooms 8 & 9 was not yet renovated. Most of the decor, furnishings and look and feel were quite dated. The pool deck was broken at places. The bathrooms and toilets do not have latches, so better learn to sing, if you are staying with friends. Some of the areas in the rooms and toilet need proper cleaning and complete change of decor. The rooms didn't have cutlery, but the house keeping promptly gave us plates and cutlery when asked. No microwave, but electric kettle placed on top of the mid-sized fridge. The aircons were good, but difficult to understand which remote worked for which aircon and the remotes sometimes didn't sync the temperature with the aircon panel. Restaurant and Pool Bar closed around 8pm, so if you want to have a drink after 8pm, you have to go out. Restaurant BF options are limited and provide ala carte menu, which takes quite a long time to come, though portions were good enough. Overall a good place, getting better thanks to the new FO manager Elaine.

Whilst I won't comment on the rooms or location, we received exceptional service from the front office manager Elaine.

We arrived at the hotel having made a booking through flight centre in australia. On arrival we were informed that flight centre (or their intermediary) had not confirmed our booking and as such the room we booked was not available . Elaine was very open and honest, and endeavoured to offer us an alternative room for a few nights by when the room type we had paid for would become available. As we were a party of 5 the alternative accommodation did not suit.

Elaine promptly communicated with the booking intermediary and confirmed a full refund.

The most comfortable bed ever bed is like on multiple comforter l location right on the beach
