Issara Boutique Winery Hotel

One of the worst hotel experiences ever. There are ongoing construction works. The repairs in the rooms are cheap and poor, doesn’t feel like a hotel vibe at all. There are cracks in the doors, two large caterpillars crawled in. Yellow stains in the bed and on the towels. Mold in the bathroom. Stains from the repairs are everywhere! We paid 3000 baht(including the 500baht fee for our dog) - that’s insane! I am also including the review from 2 years ago. Nothing really changed since then!💔

- Breakfast is not variety and staffs are confused all the time. Hotel need to use system to support and increase correct of information and speed of service.
- The cleanliness of the bathroom need to improve especially the curtain in the bathroom.
- Bed is not comfortable. It seemed spring of bed has broken.
- The security of door need to improve.
- Your poster of afternoon tea set is really interesting but when I visited the overall atmosphere and furniture is too old and seem closed (even they are open)
- Lighting in the room need to improve. If you don't want to add more light you should choose to design the room open for natural light.
- Air-conditioning is old / not cold and smell is seem they don't have maintenance plan.

I visited Chianti last month so I choose to stay at Issara for 1 night to attend an event at Muaklek in the early morning. We expected many things because your hotel claim your brand as Winery but everything totally different.

Just don’t go there. Value for money is not given. Our room was dirty. The bathroom was not cleaned neither the sheets changed. We had to shower with cold water. We asked for everything to be fixed but it took one day to change the sheets but the bathroom was still dirty.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Do not be misled by the 4-star rating or the photos on shown on their website or Agoda/Booking. The reality is quite different.

This is, in fact, an old hotel trying to hype itself as a charming rustic boutique hotel. The facilities are quite rundown and in need of repair/upgrade. It seems they tried to renovate the rooms a few years ago, but it was done haphazardly that some parts look reasonably modern, while other parts look dated. The construction quality of renovation was rather poor. The cheap flooring starting to come off. Wooden door/window frames from many years back were not properly repaired. The wooden floor on the balcony is creaking and you should be careful to step on it.

Another very misleading feature is in its name. This hotel IS NOT located inside or next to the winery as the name suggests. Actually, you would need to walk a few hundred meters to the small winery (which, as of July 2022, is closed and also in need of investment if they want to compete with other wineries around Khao Yai). The staff told me they're only opened during winter and only for events like weddings.

The food is overpriced but poor quality. We realized our mistake when we checked in at the hotel so we read another review about the wine. Dodged the bullet on that one! However, my simple order (Thai basil with minced pork and rice) was so bad that I couldn't touch it. The breakfast was very average. The menu says pancake but instead I got an overcooked waffle. This is not even acceptable at a local restaurant on the streets.

Anyway, to be fair to them, one redeeming is the staff. I guess they know about the problems, and try to compensate by being helpful and attentive/friendly.

I wouldn't recommend this until they fix the whole facilities.
