Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach

One of the many Marriott properties in Phuket, this location is great—just less than 10 minutes from the airport. They also provide a free shuttle to and from the airport. The location itself is secluded and private. The rooms are spacious and feature Thai-style wooden decorations, which are a nice touch. Since the resort is situated on a hill, they provide golf carts to take you to and from your room. Breakfast is also excellent, offering both Western and local options. Highly recommended!

Rooms were great and service was great. Proximity to the airport is a plus if your stay is short. We flew into Phuket quite early in the morning and the staff were very kind to accommodate our early check-in request.

Breakfast buffet was exceptional!! Make sure to try it at least once.

Caveats: 1) accessibility to rest of Phuket is a bit limited. If you want to visit the touristy parts of Phuket, you'll probably want to go to the airport and take a bus. 2) Beach isn't great.

I have been staying here for a few times. There are many room types. This time we got a connecting suite with pool access. It is highly recommended for a family. You will have a living room in the middle and direct access to the pool. The resort has been very well maintained with modern Thai interior. The pool is like a lagoon which is one of the highlights. The resort has its own beach. Breakfast is huge. We had steak for breakfast. The service was amazing. The staffs were very kind. It is very near to the airport, however it is quite far from other places. It is a peaceful relaxing resort.

We stayed for 3 nights and wish it could have been longer.

After a quick and thorough check-in with Molly, we were shown to our beautiful villa with a pool.

It was a gorgeous room with walk in power shower, huge comfortable bed and our own little garden with loungers, on top of the huge pool bed, table and chairs. The pool was fantastic, perfect to cool off in.
We could walk out to the beach every morning, and enjoy the high and low tide throughout the day.
Very quiet and didn’t hear from neighbours or people on the beach.

Superb breakfast. Better than the restaurants we ate at for dinner. Can sit Inside or outside.
Wow to the fresh, unlimited mango.
The cooking stations were manned by motivated, vigilant chefs who ensured nothing ran out; pork bacon, pork sausages, steamed vegetables, Indian food, noodle station, Coconut water, juice/smoothie bar. All round delicious food.
If you’re a coffee fanatic, unfortunately the Coffee wasn’t great.

There is Complimentary cocktail hour, every other day at Mamas and marshmallow toasting over a fire.

We had a cheeseburger at Big Fish which wasn’t bad but didn’t blow us away. The atmosphere inside was also pretty stagnant.
The Thai food at mamas was just ok too. But we really enjoyed the chilled atmosphere, live music and the magic tricks.
The mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream was delicious.

There are a number of local restaurants surrounding the hotel which are cheaper options.

Saying that, I don’t think they could have made my husband’s birthday any more special.
There were 4 birthday celebrations:
In-room, at breakfast, at Big Fish and at Mamas.

The Gym has mango juice dispenser (how decadent) as well as water, fridge full of cold towels. Very clean and smelt lovely.

Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Lovely place for families and great value. If you have kids, go there. It is further north from Boat Avenue.
Blue Fish is great for food and the service is fabulous. The breakfast buffet is very good and if you like breakfast, take advantage of it. Lots of food choices.
Rooms are nice, but a little dated. Beds are very comfortable.

Even though this place is a bit far from the hustle and bustle, it is a very quiet and family oriented hotel. Whoever is looking to unwind and have some good time with their family with good food from restaurant within the hotel, at the same time very close to airport should be looking at this property. The staff is super friendly, the property is beautiful, the villa 15 we stayed was super clean and beautiful. And the reception staff Jin (Jinny) was extremely helpful with our checkout process. She is an ideal example of customer service. Overall would definitely come back to this place.

I would rate it 3.5 stars based on my main reason to booking it - beach access, YMMV.
Cons:
- the beach is not useful. The nearest beach available for swimming is 20 minutes walk on the sand or 10 minutes drive;
- the swimming pool deep area is not big. The pool looks big, but for most part is knee deep, including where 'swim up' rooms are located. The pool hours are 9:00-19:00, which is pretty late in the morning;
- remote location, no decent places to get food or groceries within walking distance.

Pros:
- great breakfast and on site restaurants;
- great service and staff;
- clean grounds;
- proximity to the airport.

All in is a good Marriott hotel if you just want to spend quiet time on the resort. It's advertised as having a private beach, which is misleading.

Amazing hotel. We stayed in villa 7 beachfront with private plunge pool. Beach is like a warm bath low water level safe for kids. Food is excellent buffet breakfast and three restaurants. It’s isolated and quiet but they have a free shuttle into town. Drinks are cheap and tasty with happy hour two for one running from 3-8 across the bars. Fast reliable wifi across the entire resort.

Amazing property. Excellent service. Staff are very helpful. Rooms great. Even the GM of the hotel was serving us during the breakfast and helping his staff clean up. Richard in the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Reservations team was very responsive on emails. Only down size, hotel is far from Patong and most the family activities (i.e. ATV, Zip Line, Elephant shows, Central Mall, etc.), but the greatness of the hotel made up for that. Highly recommend hotel.
