A Perfect Mini Escape from Bangkok – Villa Maroc, Hua Hin

Just a few hours’ drive from the city chaos of Bangkok, Villa Maroc in Hua Hin was the perfect escape I didn’t know I needed. Tucked along the serene beachfront of Pranburi, this Moroccan-inspired boutique resort transported me far beyond Thailand the moment I stepped onto the property.

The architecture is stunning – think vibrant tiles, arched doorways, and pops of deep blue and terracotta. Every corner feels like a curated photo opp, yet still manages to feel cozy and intimate. I stayed in one of the pool villas, which came with direct beach access, a private plunge pool, and the dreamiest rooftop terrace view for sunrise and sunset moments.

Service was warm and attentive, with staff going above and beyond without being intrusive. Breakfast was a delight – simple but well done, with both local and international options served with a sea breeze on the side.

What I loved most was the quiet luxury – no crowds, no noise, just peace, beautiful design, and the sound of waves as my weekend soundtrack. It’s an ideal spot for couples, solo unwinds, or anyone looking to hit pause without straying too far from the city.

Would I go back? Absolutely. Villa Maroc is now on my list of go-to weekend reset spots.

We felt welcomed.

Bed was nice and 3 area's where to hang out just says enough. Make 25 steps and you're on the beach and in the sea.
Water of the pool was nice, not warm but definitely not cold.

Some will say it looks old but that is part of the charm. Of these building.

Negatives would be bugs (2x cockroaches) entering at some point due to the heavy rain. And the a la carte breakfast which can take a while to make when it's busy.

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out everything was perfect. The staff are magnificent. Room 7 was great. Nice breakfast after noon drinks around the pool were special and relaxing. Absolute 6 star vacation. Thank you everyone

Beautiful smal resort on quiet beach. The resort is operated by our host Jib and her brother and sister. They all speak very good english and are profesionals in the hospitality business. Jib said “trust me on food” and we did. We tried their steamed Sea Bass with lime and chili. And it spoiled us for life. Don’t go if you are looking for dazling nightlife. Do go when you want to wind down, relax and be taken care of.

We stayed at Praseban Hotel for six nights, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property is truly beautiful—yes, a bit older, but so lovingly maintained that it only adds to its charm. This is not a big chain hotel but a family-run paradise, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful owner, who goes above and beyond for her guests. Our room had a breathtaking ocean view, and the entire property sits right on an endless, peaceful beach. The food was fantastic, and the hospitality was simply heartwarming. They even provide bicycles to explore the area, which was a great touch. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat away from mass tourism, this is the place for you. Plus, it’s super easy

A delightful quiet and chic hideaway on the beach at paknampran. Tasteful rooms and pleasant bathrooms with a nice shaded seating area on the verandah. Sunrise on the beach is stunning. Breakfast very good and cooked to order, The resort is made by the kind and attentive management who speak excellent English and are keen to please. The first night they rang our chosen restaurant and arranged for them to take us to and from dinner. The next morning they offered to take us to our next hotel a mile up the road. Forgot to mention the delightful pool and loungers, Recommended and very good value for money

We 100% loved this place. The setting right on the beach, the room, the view, the pool, the breakfasts and the area are excellent. Best of all though was the friendly greetings and service by the staff. They are delightful. We’re already planning to return next year!

This very beautiful place features two public pools, offering a refreshing experience. The great, great, great room boasts stunning decor, complemented by a good lamp shank. The food is delicious, and the auto up-down TV adds a movie-like feel. Despite being almost 16 years old, the property has preserved its exquisite details, including the lighting, curtains, and even two jacuzzis for the house, all still in excellent condition.

Their staffs are the best. We went with 10ppl +2children for two nights and they help every requests we asked in the perfect way including surprise party for father's Day.

The decorations are good also don't miss their signature spa package. Very unique and soothing.

Only one negative is unfortunately about that our room had a few mosquitoes and this kept me awake at night for some time. Hope they have ways to handle this in the future.

This is the second time of my stays at this place and will return if go near this area again.
