Phangan Akuna

We loved akuna.
By chance we stayed here at the beginning of our stay and fell in love with the jungle vibe and the amazing atmosphere.
The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful, after a week in Koh tao we came back to Koh pangan and of course we came back here.
The pool is amazing, there's a cute gym and the rooms are very comfortable.
Its a ten minute walk from the road that has all the shops, we walked it a bunch of times and it's not so bad, but you can also rent a motorbike from reception and then it's super easy to get around.
There's no restaurant at the hotel but there's one a two minutes walk away at Holmes plate.
The hot water is ok, it keeps on cooling down and then warming up, for us it wasn't a problem but if that's something crucial for you, best keep it in mind.
Totally worth a visit, I know I'll be back here

Tranquil haven with impressive and impeccable service

From pre-arrival WhatsApp messages to the warmest of welcomes Rainnie was absolutely brilliant!

Room/apartment immaculately clean, private, peaceful and quiet.

The location is a haven set away from the roads but a short 10 minute walk to the beach and lively Srithanu with everything you could need, great dining and coffee shops plus easy restaurant delivery service available.

Possible to rent bikes, and taxis are easily arranged. Clothes washing services both easy and value for money and apartments well equipped with microwave, hot plate kettle and kitchen galley.

Fabulous little retreat to just be still and listen to the sound of birds and the occasional monkey.

On site gym and swimming pool a bonus and the whole team look after the site and gardens beautifully.

Rainnie is an absolute gem. Professional and friendly with nothing too much trouble and always ahead of your needs.

If I could give Akuna six stars or more, I would and look forward to a return stay next year! Thank you

I had wonderful weeks at Phangan Akuna! Very quiet and clean accomodation, great pool, and a very good spot to explore the island. The staff was always very friendly and they kept my house very clean. I can strongly recommend it!
Go check out „home‘s plate“ cafe nearby for breakfast or lunch!

This place is a gem! I have been staying here since 2015 few weeks per year ( never took time to write a review ...so its time now ! ) Phangan Akuna is literally a little paradise ! The villas are very spacious , modern, clean . The bed really comfy, you have everything you need in the kitchen. The WIFI works perfectly and water pressure is really good as well. The staff is very helpful and professional. They will always do their best for you to have an amazing time here. It's in the middle of the jungle so sometimes you will find ants or geckos in your villa , that's normal , they are home too :-) Just don't leave food on the table before you go to bed! It's very quiet, you will wake up every morning with the songs of the birds! The surrounding is beautiful. The gym has simple equipment, but everything you need for a nice workout ! The pool is perfect to swim (15 meters long) and always clean !The garden is well groomed .I am travelling solo, and I always feel safe here. Actually I feel like home ;-) Don't hesitate to book a villa here, I promise you won't be disappointed ! Thank you so much for everything Phangan Akuna Family , see you very soon! Laurexxx

We had an amazing time staying at Phangan Akuna. Everything was great!
The accomodations are very clean, very modern and well equipped. The place is very nice, you feel like staying in the middle of the jungle. There is also a nice swimming pool and a gym.
And the staff was so so kind, always welcoming us warmly and always accomodating.
This is one of the best place I've stayed in Thailand, I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ko Phangan.

Hidden paradise! Great location near everything you might need. We stayed here for two weeks. Rooms are sparkling clean, we had a kitchen, air con, tv, couch, desk and a comfortable bed… what else could I ask for? Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Amazing hospitality! Always smiling and helping staff was the highlight. Plus the awesome, clean and modern villa made us go crazy. The design and details, in and around the accommodation, has been well thought and implemented. Breakfast was next level for the small operations they have. The quite, serene, forest like setting around the villas was breathtaking. Don't expect to walk anywhere from here though. A rental car or a scooter is necessary. The other option is the affordable transport to and from different places on the island that the hotel offers.

Nice quiet location but just a walk away from the shops and restaurants. I really liked my room spacious, clean and modern with a big veranda. The pool area could do with a bit of maintenance as the decking is lifting and you could get splinters. Free bicycle rental which was perfect for my needs. The reception staff are lovely always happy, friendly and helpful.
