It was a great experience overall, all the staff is very helpful and lovely. The boy for driving us around is very lovely and kind. The restaurant is also nice, the auntie there is very nice, the food is good, the view of the restaurant is fantastic.
The floating house just amazing! Very beautiful and peaceful. If you have a car it’s much easier to reach to the hotel.

In humble opinion of our family, Mek Kiri Resort deserves the best score because of multiple reasons, and I would like to tell about them in order.
The first reason is a spectacular scenery, surrounding this marvelous place (just look at the photos I’ve attached!) We lived in the riverfront room and we had a chance to enjoy it every morning, while we were feeding fish in the river and every evening, while we were swinging in hammock to the strains of Nature.
Talking about location, we found it extremely convenient for our travelling needs. It took us about one hour and half to get the downtown of Kanchanaburi and the same time to get, for example, the Sangkhla Buri, where we got to see one-of-a-kind Mon Bridge.
And the last but not the least reasons why we want to come back here, are: friendly staff, who are always ready to help if you need so; surprisingly good Wi-Fi signal (which turned out to be much better, than, let’s say, in some chain hotels); and simple, but really tasty food in local restaurant. By the way, Mek Kiri Resort gives an opportunity to have not only breakfast on the territory, but also lunch and dinner (at certain hours).
By the way, I can’t help but mention that every single guest can participate in an unique morning ceremony of making alms on the raft. We also decided not to miss a chance and became a part of it and, I can say, that it was unforgettable. If you’re interested in too, just contact the staff before your check-in.
Sure, I see, that I’ve already written a lot, so, in my summary, I would like to say the following: yes, I perfectly understand, that some of people can find interior in the rooms as quite old and shabby, BUT. Just reckon about one thing: this place is all about enjoying the outside beauty, not about sitting in the room, and in this field Mek Kiri Resort is head and shoulders above other similar resorts. Of course, in humble opinion of our family.

We stayed for one night in Sept 2020, and had a very pleasant stay. Although we were the only guests, they took really good care of us. They accept to set up the rafting/tubing activity just for 2 of us, and cooked us a good breakfast at our most convenient time.
Hotel conveniently located from the Hindad hot springs, and a perfect place to relax on the river. I would definitely recommend!

I spent two nights at Mek Kiri! Great floating houses with hammock to chill and watch the river flow! I ate dinner at the resort restaurant because there are not many choices around and the food was great and cheap (same price you would pay outside). In the morning, the resort organize the alms giving to the monks and this is a great experience.

Wonderful hotel. The hotel could house around 50 guests but we were the only ones. That didn't stop the staff from making our stay very special, the food was extraordinary and the surroundings just beautiful. The keeper is a really nice guy who will sit down with you for a chat if he gets the chance. The only 'downside' would be the facilities, it's a two hour drive to Kanchanaburi city and the hotel has no transport for the drive. If you ask, they will either bring you to the bus station or call a cab for you, whichever you prefer.

All in all, I recommend this place and we will probably be back to visit it again.

If you have celiacs disease, I wouldn't recommend this place. The choice for the breakfast buffet is not great, and even smaller without the stuff that has wheat in it. What's left is some fresh fruit, French fries and a baked egg.
Dinner is better, they understood my gluten free restaurant card and served me only the safe options. I didn't get sick.
