Beck's Resort

Dear Becks resort, there are many aspects that your place could uplift, but hospitality would be my first suggestion. Seeing a woman with three massive bags and not offering help to carry some to the room while proudly having hospitality diplomas hanged at the reception feels like a poor manner.
Second, a bit more attention could be brought to the bedding that is often stained and dirty even if its just done by housekeeping.
And lastly, it is high season so maybe you could think of maintaining your pool? It was just filthy algae water boiling under the sun.
Generally, speaking this would be the last place on the island i would recommend to anyone despite the great location.

We went to Beck's Resort for Kayaking. Our recommendations: don't go there! First, there was none at the reception, which happens. Heading towards the beach, we found an employee and explained that we wanted to do kayaking. He nodded and drove away with his motorbike. Not sure what to do, we went back to the reception, and here he gave us paddles, took our money and after asking we got live jackets and the recommendation to visit an island opposite of the resort. Then he went away again, so we took the Kayak ourselves, brought it to the beach, and headed towards the island. What we didn't know is that ferries, speedboats, and other boats will cross our way in high frequency. It was very dangerous. The boats were using their horns, warning us what risky journey we were heading to. So we turned around and, after 20 minutes, returned the kayaks, of course, again without any assistance from the staff. I never had such an unfriendly experience with locals, and I'm shocked that he took us in such a dangerous situation.

Much too expensive. The rooms with Fan are very hot and stuffy and not very clean. At the first day nobody came for cleaning the room, so we had to ask for this. The worst thing was the shower, as there came only very little water, sometimes only drops and the sink had only hot water which wasn't very nice due to the heat in the room. The staff at the reception was very friendly and supporting, this was great. But overall the prices are too high for the service you get.
