Dar El Marsa Hotel & Spa

I recently visited Hotel Dar El Marsa, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment regarding their dress code policy. On an extremely hot day, I was surprised to learn that tank tops were not permitted in their bar and restaurant area. This policy hinders comfort, particularly during scorching weather.

I strongly advise individuals seeking comfort during hot weather to refrain from visiting this hotel until they revise their dress code policy. It is essential to be able to dress appropriately to stay cool and fully enjoy one's stay, especially in sweltering temperatures.

The hotel itself is nice. The service was correct (even though I must say that we asked a waiter the ingredients of a yoghurt (it was in arabic), and he replied: "yoghurt and vanilla". It was strawberry, and he didn't reply so that I didn't know if I could eat it or not). We ate once at the hotel the food was very good.
And what for me was the highlight was the cleaning. Very, very good.
BUT: the rooms do not have air conditioner!!! It felt surreal. If you're too hot, you need to open the window and put up with the zillion cat fights due to the complete lack of animal control of the country. It is super stressing to sleep like that.
The WiFi was disastrous. It was as if the net was too crowded. Unbelievable.
There were a few electrical sockets. And what is worse, there were none next to one side of the bed. For better or worse, nowadays it is kind of a must to be able to charge your phone next to the bed.
A so called 5 stars hotel that just had hair conditioner the first day and then an all in one product. Let's be honest, the hair conditioner was awful, so it was not a big difference. But I would expect a little more care. Do the managers understand what does it mean to have long hair? Do they understand what type of confort a guest expects from a 5 stars hotel? I guess not.
Another thing that makes no sense is that to access the swimming pool, you have to walk across the restaurant. So, to return to your room, you have to cross the restaurant all wet and maybe in a swimming suit or with a towel. It is not nice for the person passing by nor for the ones who are trying to have a nice moment at the restaurant.
The breakfast was super underwhelming. Not too much variety and the quality a bit poor.
I most definitely do not recommend the hotel. I would never go back.
It is too expensive for what they have to offer.
