Gulluk Yali Boutique Otel

Rooms are very average, really confined and not fit for a couple. Often odd shapes. Found staff, especially female receptionists, lacking in any customer service abilities.

Despite this, the location was very nice and the super sun decks and pool sort of make up for things.

Boutique, hmmm, not so sure. Also found the 'no outside food or drink' rule draconian.

Room was clean, the balcony had an amazing view but pretty rubbish furniture. The TV in the room was not a smart TV and only had local channels, the minibar was a bit underwhelming and the coffee/tea provided with the room was lower than standard quality.

Staff were nice and welcoming and the checkin process was smoothish. The food at the restaurant and for breakfast was incredibly underwhelming. All the food felt like it came from frozen and I am pretty sure we saw the chef with a massive bag of frozen chicken nuggets.

Overall experience was alright but nothing stood out except the view.

We stayed for 5 nights in July, while we were selling our property in gulluk , we had heard it was a good hotel! we were looking forward to having somewhere to rest and relax for a few days , Let’s say it’s ok !! For now! It is clear that although nicely done up , isn’t being maintained to it’s original standards, lots of grotty corners , the main restaurant adjacent to the kitchen is shabby, lots of staff hanging around doing nothing when it’s quiet instead they should be cleaning and tidying areas , the decking needs sweeping daily, there are weeds growing out of the sand, the sunbeds are dirty, and at the weekend they fill up with day guests, so no sunbeds or area for staying guests, the beach staff aren’t particularly helpful or friendly, I had a tuna salad for lunch, it was the equivalent of £10 in English money , it was the saddest salad I’ve ever seen, limp leaves, some red onion and a sprinkle of tuna , menu said it contained egg , olives , tomato, cucumber etc, when I questioned it with the staff, they did nothing!! And just walked away, we were told we had the best room
In the hotel, granted it had a decent sized balcony, but the smallest flimsiest table and 2 chairs I’ve ever come across, which unsurprisingly was broken in places , the patio doors didn’t lock , which my husband had to mention to reception a few times before it was fixed, the rooms are small but the beds were comfortable, but I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately, it’s a shame as the location as far as shops and bars is great. But I can only see the facilities getting more unkept .
