Cicekli Konak Mini-hotel

It was nice and quaint and had a nice old-world charm. The breakfast was the highlight of the days that I spent there, the person making the breakfast even though she could not speak any English (used google translate) made it magical. Each day had quite a spread. The room was comfortable and clean. I had a big room and a smallish toilet and my friend who was in the other room had the opposite. Very silent and calm during the day. In the evenings you can just step out and you are in the middle of all the pubs, clubs, and restaurants in the lanes starting with one right next door. I think that adds to the charm of the place. Also makes your evenings fun to just walk around and be in what I think is the heart of the city at night. You can't drive up to the door, which means if you have heavy luggage you will need to drag it down a few paths which are a mix of cobblestones and concrete, so getting in and out would be a problem, and also carrying your things up a flight of stairs if you take the rooms upstairs. Another thing (again not so problematic) is finding your way to the place, I had reached quite late in the night and was right outside the place (using google maps & asking a few people passing by) but couldn't recognize it in the dark, the sign was partially covered with creepers. You will have to ring the bell to get in. The other worry (which did not bother me at all, but could be a problem for a few) is that this is in the heart of all the pubs and clubs next door, so there will be soft thumping of music till 1:30 am every day and maybe the occasional noise of the people leaving. If you are a light sleeper and need to go to bed early might want to consider this. Of the various hotels I stayed at all over Turkey this is in the top 3 of them

Very nice and clean cozy place. The doors need repair. At Winter you wake up with the smog in the room be ause the door is not airtight.
