Arrived after 8pm but when I asked if food was available they fired up the kitchen and cooked a tremendous meal of lentil soup, shepherd salad, chicken with rice, honey cake and the best watermelon (Karpuz) you're likely to get outside of Colombia. All the vegetables were from their on-site organic garden and you can taste the goodness. The people and the food were fantastic, the rooms also had some charm but were a bit dated. This is a great place to stay if you are seeing Nemrut Dag.

Such a cozy and cute hotel. The family running it are super friendly and hospital! We had dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious and homemade! The hotel room is very clean! Super happy with our stay and this will definitely be a sweet memory in my mind.

The boss and the staff are very friendly, even its in the mountain but the hotel room was grand and comfortable. The restaurant also was good, we really enjoyed the stay here:)

This is the perfect place to stay heading to Nemrut and longer! The rooms are clean, comfortable, the staff is really helpful! The view is amazing of the valley. Really easy to find! The attached restaurant is a really good buffet breakfast and dinner!

I arrived at late night and stayed 1 night. Mehmet is the manager of the hotel wait for me after I call him at late night. Thanks. It was good stay for visiting the Nemrut Mt. To watch sun rise at the Nemrut go early and take a good rest at the hotel before it's late. Room was okey, breakfast was okey. It's all good.

A rather bad experience in this hotel where normally, tourists visiting Nemrut stay one, max two nights. Staff is more focused on their cellphones than on working or cleaning, food is the same every day, room service has to be asked for and then you are told to take your variables with you as they do not trust their staff. Pool is dirty, chairs are broken and gardens full of garbage. Never again!

Days before we arrived to this hotel, I called them and asked about how we can see sunrise and sunset at Mount Nemrut as we didn't have a car. They mentioned we can rent a transport for 1800 TL and unless there are other people who wants to share the transport, this amount will be divided into two (me and my friend). It was good to know the options and mentioned we are only into being added to other groups due to cost concerns. They said there are many groups and we will figure this out. As I'm warned about such vague answers that leads to tourist traps and I need a certain answer, I asked the same thing in the check in day, I got the same response "please just come here, we will figure something out " Finally we checked in and guess what? They said there s no group that want to include us in the transportation so we have to rent their transport. I felt quite frustrated and cheated.
My friend also asked about the closest grocery store to buy cigarettes, they said the closest one is 20 km away but we can buy from them. Later on, we learnt there s a store in 15 minutes walking distance.
This place had no understanding of hospitality. They only want to rip you off as much as they can. I don't recommend them.

We had an amazing stay at Tarih Otel. Its location is perfect for visiting Nemrut Mount which is 10 min away and the surround. The views from the rooms and the terrace are amazing.
The hotel is managed by a sweet and nice family. Service is amazing.
The beds are comfy. The rooms are clean and have all the amnesties we needed. The homemade food and breakfast were delicious.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to spend some days.

We were visiting the area to see Nemrut Dag and the Kahta Castle. Please note this is a more remote mountain hotel run by family (I think). That means you are getting peace, serenity, nature and proximity to Nemrut Dag - not luxury :) I've stayed in numerous mountain hotels and this was perfect.
They are remodeling after the earthquake and doing renovations. Please contact them for directions to their location (don't just trust google to Nemrut Dag or to the hotel haha!). Also contact them in advance to discuss food - they have a fantastic array of homemade meals but a little heads up helps as everything comes from far away.
We would definitely stay again. Simple lodgings, wonderful food, excellent hospitality and great location. Don't miss the castle - it just reopened!

Great location down the road from nemrut. Don't be fooled by the google directions from the hotel to mount nemrut that tell you it will take over an hour and a half. It's literally up the road :) Maybe work the directions backwards from nemrut to the hotel.
Amazing staff. We had the best service and dinner, especially cooked for us. 3 courses. Family owned and just lovely, warm and welcoming.
The hotel is being renovated slightly, but that doesn't disrupt the stay in any way. Comfortable rooms, hot water does run, but you have to leave it running for a while.
Definitely recommend 👌
