Mwezi Boutique Resort

Our first trip to Tanzania was amazing. After a four day safari in Ruaha National Park we headed to the Sharazad Boutique Resort for a 4 night stay. I knew I wanted to see the Indian Ocean but I did not realize how beautiful the water would be along with the gorgeous white sand at Sharazad resort. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise every day, amazing food and a special place to enjoy the scenery every day was more than I had hoped for. From check in to check out we could not have asked for better service or a nicer staff. I would like to recognize Modesta, John and Anastasia. Always seemed interested in what we would like and went above board to deliver.

Stayed at Sharazad Boutique Hotel for a yoga retreat and had a great experience. The front desk staff, barmen, waitresses, and masseuses were all welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The facilities were excellent—peaceful yoga spaces, a well-kept pool, and a relaxing spa. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

We spent three nights here as part of our honeymoon in Zanzabar. It's a wonderfully relaxing boutique hotel with an excellent breakfast and tasty kingfish and tuna steaks on offer at dinner. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The set-up is impressively sustainable to the extent that we had eight monkeys appear out of the trees onto our balcony one morning!

I did a private dinner on the beach for a group of 13 people. The set up with a tent. The flowers and etc were so beautiful. We did a preset dinner and Monika was so lovely in organizing. I also worked with Monika to hire a two person band. I really enjoyed our time, and so did all our friends.

Where do we even begin? Sharazad Boutique Hotel leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. It was honestly one of our most beautiful stays — if not the most beautiful! The location is stunning and the atmosphere throughout the whole resort is wonderfully calm and relaxing. There are several pools, all perfectly clean and never crowded. The spa is incredible as well — I highly recommend the massages. Every single staff member was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. The food was some of the best we’ve ever had — always sooo delicious! Our Bungalow (Garden View with air) was beautifully designed, peaceful and extremely comfortable. We loved it so much. The whole resort offers countless cozy spots to relax — sunbeds, hammocks, shaded areas, and the sand is incredibly soft and beautiful. We would return in a heartbeat and want to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts — especially warm greetings to Doreen!

Amazing location. White beach, great atmosphere. Rooms are generally spacious, but really depends which one you book. They differ. Restaurant service and food is really good. Flexible to make changes and friendly staff. In Tanzania everything is slow, so that's something to get used to..

Gorgeous surroundings decorated with a lot of care. One of those places where you truly forget what time or day it is, so peaceful and relaxing. We had half board so breakfast and dinner were included. Being vegans, we struggled a little bit initially to find a lot of options, especially for breakfast. However, as soon as the restaurant manager Santosh noticed us, he made it his mission to make sure we were served a delicious vegan breakfast and dinner everyday. He made our experience at the hotel so much better and I will always be thankful to him!

Stunning beach hotel in Jambiani. I just returned from a 3 night stay during a trip to Zanzibar and I wish I had booked for longer. It is set on a dreamy stretch of beach which is pretty quiet in the day apart from kite surfers and occasionally locals selling trips or souvenirs. In addition there are several pools on the grounds of the hotel alongside a beach bar and separate restaurant/bar. Food was some of the best I had in Tanzania. Lots of variety, dietaries are catered for and the breakfast was a never ending offer of fruits, breads, eggs and delicious fresh juices which filled me up for the day. Rooms are modern, stylish and clean. They have added nice touches including a beach bag, yoga mat, beach hat and kimono so you can save on packing those! I can’t recommend this place enough, it felt like a little piece of heaven!

We loved our stay at Sharazad Boutique Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was warm, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The food was fresh and delicious, with a good variety to suit different tastes, and we really appreciated the strong links the hotel has with the local community. A real highlight was spending Sunday with the resident artist. He sets up facing the ocean and for just ten dollars you can join him to paint your own version of the sea view, with his gentle guidance. Alternatively, you can simply sit back and watch him work on one of his own pieces. It was such a unique and calming experience. There are four different pools around the property, each with its own atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the jungle pool, where a family of red colobus monkeys spent most of the day in the trees above. It was magical to watch them up close in such a peaceful setting. The beach is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for walks and soaking up the view. However, swimming can be a little tricky at low tide, as the exposed sand is quite soft and mud-like in places, coming almost up to the knee. Sharazad Boutique Hotel is a wonderful place to relax, connect with the surroundings and enjoy something a little different. We would love to return.
