Nestled in the heart of Aspen, just moments from the slopes of Aspen Mountain, The Little Nell truly lives up to its name—a charming, intimate retreat enveloped by the pristine beauty of this legendary ski town. With its luxurious touches and unbeatable location, it’s undeniably a gem. Yet, our experience in the Pfeifer Suite revealed that even gems can have a few rough edges.
The suite itself was a blend of elegance and comfort, boasting one of the most remarkable views in the world—a sweeping panorama of the mountain, right on the mountain. However, that view was bittersweet. Both bedrooms featured automated curtains that, unfortunately, refused to work, leaving us unable to fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery from the comfort of our rooms. For a hotel of this caliber, especially at a rate of $3,500 per night (plus a $200 nightly resort fee), such details felt like a missed note in an otherwise harmonious tune.
But what The Little Nell may lack in certain technicalities, it more than makes up for with its exceptional service. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as memorable as possible. At the heart of this incredible team was Megan, the Guest Experience Manager, whose dedication and personalized care transformed our stay. Megan’s warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail left an indelible mark on our visit, making challenges like the curtains seem like minor inconveniences.
Despite a few hiccups, The Little Nell remains a captivating escape, its prime location—mere steps from the gondola—making it a haven for ski enthusiasts and adventurers alike. While improvements are needed before peak season to truly justify its premium price, the hotel’s impeccable service and unbeatable proximity to the slopes ensured that our stay was a story worth telling. We just returned from our long weekend at the Little Nell and had the most amazing time. The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly, and thought of all the little details that made our stay so wonderful. The location is incredible, the gondola is just a block away and in the heart of Aspen with so many shops and restaurants. We will be back!

I booked to stay in The Little Nell at the recommendation of a friend who stayed here in winter. I was curious to see why it commanded a higher-than-normal price tag for a 5 star hotel. And after 5 days here, I can confirm that it is special and worth it.
The room is great but comparable to the Park Hyatts and other R&C properties - what sets it apart is the extremely high service level, unique experiences which you can’t get with other hotels like the Dior riviera pool fit-out, Dior spa, Audi driving experience, gastronomic meals at AspenX mountain club or being shuttled on a party bus to enjoy al fresco dining on a ranch with Michelin chefs. There is always something exciting happening at the Little Nell - kudos to May Selby & team!
This is what you are paying for - so if you are a lover of unique luxury travel experiences which pampers you till no end - The Little Nell is the place you need to stay in Aspen.

My friend had his wedding at The Little Nell and from what I saw it was very nice, very classy. I went to his room to get my suit and it was very nicely appointed, they even provide canned oxygen since there are very high elevations here in Aspen.

Our stay at the Little Nell was the best experience. Everyone you meet is wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms are great and the food is terrific. Best place to stay away from home. I have no plans to be back in Aspen this year, but wish I did! This place is the best.

For venue, it's definitely a 5-star. A beautiful, classy, peaceful setting in a beautiful location. I've eaten there before in the food was excellent. I can't say the same for this recent experience. The cobb salad was exceptionally disappointing. And my server was poorly trained.

Absolutely fabulous! We participated in the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing. Went with my sister, husband, and brother in law. Very memorable evening.
