The Hefner Lounge here features its own apres ski menu loaded with everything from elk chili and hand-cut fries to warm drink specials. It also lists "snow friendly" wines.

Great room and a great property. Stayed in one of the renovated rooms and loved every minute. Not a fan of the congested “main drag” of hotels by the gondola and this was perfect. Self parking was simple and the bell person gave me a ride in the golf cart. (Much appreciated because it was snowing.) They offered a shuttle for the family to go skiing and take the gondola as well as to and from the airport. Super convenient - if only a couple fixed stops for the town trips. Easy to walk where we needed to go. Heard someone talking about their plans to renovate the main restaurant and bar. Will definitely be back next winter to see if it looks like the rooms! They set a pretty high bar.

This is not a luxury experience. Schlepping my bags up icy stairs no spa services and mediocre rooms. There are way better places to stay in Aspen.

Great experience from start to finish. The staff were all so friendly and professional and especially so during the AIMF event which was amazing to be part of!! Main Street in the city center was only a 1 mile walk which is perfect for those looking to exercise. Highly recommend this resort to anyone. I will definitely return when next in Aspen.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding and I wish I had read more reviews ahead of time. Simply put, it’s listed as a 4-star resort online and is simply not. The location is stunning and was a beautiful spot for a wedding, but the hotel is little more than a dated conference center.
The hotel is clearly in the midst of major transitions in management, renovations, staff training, and more and you can feel that during your stay. The key cards are a known issue- we probably spent a cumulative 30-40 minutes locked out of our rooms over the weekend, often having to go to the front desk multiple times for support. The rooms themselves are dated with no air conditioning, broken components, plumbing issues, and non-functional appliances. We had mixed experiences with the hotel staff, with some being unkind and rude. The on-site breakfast is not complimentary and is expensive for being little more than what you’d get for free at a MUCH cheaper hotel.
For spending what we did while expecting a luxurious stay, we were really disappointed with the experience. Other wedding guests ended up checking out early due to their experience but we were unable to find something else for our group size on such short notice.

The room was so beautiful. We had a mountain view. We saw deer outside of our balcony in the morning. Unfortunately, they charge extra a silly large amount for breakfast that isn't that good nor anything special, also you must serve yourself. However, It is located so close to everything. Surrounded by gorgeous landscape and amazing homes. No AC in the roo.s, which was fine because we were on the second level and could keep out windows open all evening. I would go again.
