My wife and I stayed here over a weekend in October while we visited Sedona. This was one of the more affordable hotels in the area and had a great location, in my opinion. Any other hotels along 89A in West Sedona were a bit more on the resort-end of pricing, and other hotels in Sedona were out in the busier area and also more resort-like.
Given that, our room was just okay. It was suitable for us since we were really just using it for a place to crash for our two nights...we were out all day and most of the evening otherwise. The room itself could've been cleaner though; didn't seem like they put a ton of effort into making it clean.
The big thing that bugged me though was the parking fee. $17 per day to park your vehicle in their parking lot, which is right in front of the hotel. And its a separate fee from the hotel fee! There was no striping for the parking spaces and the asphalt itself was very rough and somewhat broken up. It was not easy wheeling our roller suitcases across the lot. They really need to use those monies for repaving and striping the lot. ASAP.

im surprised by the neg reviews. stayed here for 2 nites with my fam and we thought it was great. heated outdoor pool n jacuzzi for winter, rooms were clean and quiet, and a huge free hot breakfast bar everyday. in a place like sedona that saved us literally $100 a day right there instead of going to a restaurant. room was around 200 a night including tax/parking fee.

This hotel was pretty nice for the most part. Nothing was wrong with the hotel room. The beds were comfy, everything was clean, and everything was alright. I’ve read a couple reviews, not expecting anything, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. The parking fee is the main reason I rated it four stars. The hotel is small, and for the most part, it’s ok. Nothing too special. Also, thank you for teaching me what watermelon enhanced water is. Didn’t know it was a thing. Thank you though, Hampton inn Sedona.

Wow, where do I start? The first night here we were out in a room that smelled SO bad. I went down to the front desk and asked for air freshener. We even popped popcorn in the run to try and cover up the smell. The next morning we thought we heard a critter running across the room. Then we turned the AC on and the smell was back and unbearable. We figured it must be rat pea in the AC. They ended up switching us to another room and it was 100% better. The toilets in the rooms are so low to the ground that they seem like kid toilets. The workout room is a joke so don't expect much. The continued breakfast was good and the lady preparing it was nice. The lady at the front desk didn't even look at me when I was talking to her, I guess she was too busy. Everyone else was nice. I would not recommend this hotel.

Never thought I’d have a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. Have used them for travel over 20 years.
This location was simply the worst room I’ve had ever. Wallpaper falling down, dirty bathroom, all for a resort fee and parking fee.
I will say the food was standard and mediocre . Hostess was nice , front desk guy had a resting face that was not appreciated.
The reviews are all correct for this one, I’d pass on staying here and go to anywhere else.

The only saving grace for this hotel is the staff. They were super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel is gross. It hasn't been updated since Hampton Inns started, the carpets were filthy, our ceiling in the bathroom had black mold on it in the shower, the rooms were dirty, we found used dirty forks and spoons on the floor when we first got there, and the comforters on the bed were dirty and stained. For $200/night, you would expect just a bit higher level of quality and cleanliness.

The lobby and breakfast were pretty decent. The rooms were dated. My office chair wouldn't stay up and was torn, the arm chair was well worn and the bed was, quite literally, the worst of any hotel I've ever stayed in, including all over Hampton inns. That bed, I could feel every spring and the pillows we're both too firm and too squishy simultaneously. I stayed for a week and it didn't get any better. I didn't let staff in to clean and they'd put towels, coffee and toilet paper outside my door, but they did it on day 3 and day 4 but no other day and they didn't include shampoo etc, or anything that I actually needed. The appliances were extremely dated and sometimes didn't work. It needs updated *badly.* I thought the rooms would be a nice as the lobby and I was mistaken.

Amy at the front desk if absolutely amazing. Helpful and gracious. Location is good - a little out of the hustle and bustle of town with restaurants within walking distance. Hotel cleanliness needs a serious upgrade. One of our two rooms had bloodstains and hair on the comforter. Bathroom floor didn’t seem to be clean and there was just an overall feeling of dirtiness. The AC never cooled the room and there was a weird industrial fan noise all night. Carpets were ripping where they met tile.

Excellent value for money. Very clean rooms. Modern, good location, friendly staff. And a great breakfast in the morning.
Everything is five-star, the only reason why I gave it a four-star, is because the bathtub caulking was significantly damaged and could’ve been easily repaired. For them to get five stars from me.
