Harrah's Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino

A very outdated hotel Needs a major remodel 2 stars would be very generous.. Was charged $29.95 resort fee per night. Yet no daily cleaning room and no replenishing towels nor any amenities. We stayed 5 nights and had hot water for 1 shower and the rest of the time was barely warm. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

The rooms were so outdated the walls were peeling, the room was just had an overall disgusting feeling and could just really feel and see the age. The hotel needs a full makeover, the casino staff are extremely rude wasn’t used to all that being that I’ve been to Vegas plenty of times. The only great thing about this stay was I was able to walk to the Gondola for Heavenly each day. I would recommend staying somewhere with better up-keeping, service, and updated rooms

My husband and I went to South Lake Tahoe to celebrate my birthday in January. We usually upgrade to suites, which are usually excellent rooms. However, this year, our room was disappointing and disgusting. We don't mind older rooms that haven't been updated since the hotel was built, but we expect clean rooms that have working amenities. We needed towels because the room was partially set. Unfortunately, only half of the light fixtures in the entire suite worked, and one lamp was missing. The carpets were severely wrinkled, to the point where I tripped over one area and fell into a wall. The French doors separating the living room from the bedroom had one missing valance, and the window panels were filthy with gunk. All the mirrors in the bar and the mirrored furniture had similar gunk all over them. The shower was filled with mildew, and there was a plastic cup near my husband's bed and the wall. The odor in the room was horrible, we had to open a window during the day, and my husband had to close the window and turn up the thermostat to warm the room for the evening. Our first morning, we woke up to no hot water and took a freezing cold shower. We informed the front desk, but unfortunately, they were at capacity, so we could not move rooms. However, they addressed the hot water situation. Housekeeping entered the room when the "do not disturb" light was on, even though they knocked, I was in the middle of getting ready. There seems to be a disconnect between management, maintenance, and customer service. Our stay was one of the worst experiences ever at any hotel or casino establishment. To add insult to injury, the valet yelled at my husband. We enjoyed chatting with the bar staff, who are always great. Overall hotel rating, we can spend our time and money elsewhere celebrating life experiences.
