Located in the Western part of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, near Liwa, in the famous desert of RUB El Khali (or Empty Quarter), which stretches from the South borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia across Oman and the United Arab Emirates, 200 km from the international airport of Abu Dhabi. Near the hotel kilometer paved runway for small planes.

Fantastic unique desert resort!
“Qasr Al Sarab” was and is for us one of the best places in the world - its quiet location in the middle of the breathtaking desert with amazing views and access to the big dunes is fabulous already, but the luxurious resort itself is great as well - amazing architecture and design, spacious rooms, many wonderful details - and maximum privacy in the exclusive unique private pool villas with excellent butlers.
So you can just relax, enjoy the 2 big pools and the SPA treatments, or do various kind of sports and other activities.
Besides that various gorgeous restaurants and bars leave no wish open.
Great also the sustainability in the resort - no plastic bags or water bottles.
And last but not least:
We really love the desert and the resort itself, but like always most important are the people, who make the difference… and here Qasr Al Sarab’s entire staff is really amazing - everybody is very kind, attentive and caring. So you feel immediately warmly welcome and are treated not only like a guest, but more than a dear friend or family member. They remember your name and try to fulfill even special wishes to make you happy => big compliments!
Therefore we again enjoyed our stay very much and are looking very much forward to coming back soon!
PS. Check upfront, if there are any construction works with noise or limitation of areas! And if you want to enjoy the outdoor areas, best time might be from November until March, otherwise it’s very hot and in the summer season some restaurants or other areas are closed. Recommendation: The private pool villas - the ultimate experience!

I you want to know what the word unique means, stay a few days at this hotel. It's located far away from any village or city, in the middle of a super large desert. You will find all the services you get from a 5 stars hotel but in a way and location that are both unique. Swimming in a pool with an open and unobstructed view on the desert is something exceptional. It's not the first five stars hotel i stay in, but it's the most unique.

5 stars are not enough for this place. This is one of those spots that takes a special place in our memories. The location is definitely fantastic, probably the best desert spot in the UAE: high dunes, amazing colors, unspoiled nature stretching till the eye can see.
The resort architecture is so well integrated in the surrounding landscape, and every detail has been crafted to create the perfect atmosphere.
The activity center is super well organized with so many amazing activities to do, one stay will not be enough!!!
One special, but really special, mention goes to the entire staff: their professionalism, ability to anticipate every need and their attitude made our stay unforgettable!!!

I first went to Qasr Al Sarab some 9 years ago and LOVED this hotel. Coming back 9 years later I was just as wowed by the amazing place and location. The hotel and setting is staggeringly beautiful. At the edge of an infinity pool staring into the desert, climbing the sand dunes to see the sun set, lanterns lit at night against the fairy tail hotel, you feel like you’re in a movie. The two teenage boys in our party went on one of the free activities: fat biking in the desert at sun rise, which they were thrilled by. I understand there are also more exciting plans for the hotel. A climbing wall, an outside gym (the inside new gym looks massive!) and more. We had a few glitches when we first arrived at the hotel, but management were amazing at resolving these and bar our reluctance to leave such a beautiful, beautiful place we left happy, happy guests.

There's no doubt it's a very nice hotel but it can do better. If you're travelling from Dubai the standard of hotels is very high and there are small details that could be improved. Overall the staff are good but F&B service is slow or understaffed in the restaurants, staff could be better trained, and the food is very average - don't call french fries triple cooked chips if they are french fries. I also don't appreciate the fact that I was asked to leave a deposit and I still haven't received it back several days later - I don't want to have to chase these sorts of things.

This is the best resort i ever stayed in my life so far.
Each of the team members who assisted us went way beyond from arrival to check-in and show us to our room to make our stay so perfect and memorable.
If i have a chance to be back in UAE, i will definitely to be back there again.

I was initially uncertain about leaving a review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Our stay at Qasr Al Sarab began very well with an excellent location, great service, and delicious food. However, we encountered some issues with construction noise during our visit. The noise was quite disruptive and impacted our ability to relax and enjoy our time together.
It would have been helpful to have been informed about the construction in advance so we could have planned accordingly. Additionally, scheduling construction work outside of breakfast hours, which are from 8 to 11 a.m., might enhance the overall guest experience.
We spoke with the management about our concerns, and while they offered a room upgrade, it would not have resolved the issue of the noise. We appreciate their efforts, but we hope these points can be considered for future guests to improve their experience.

Stayed here for 2 nights and I cannot express how amazing it was. My partner & I wanted to book a stay cay where we could fully relax & switch off & this really was the perfect place. We booked one of the one bed villas and it was beautiful beyond belief. The staff were incredible, we really got looked after 24 hours a day, a shout out to Maha who was the lady who looked after us, she was there from start to finish and she really made our trip even more relaxing, we did not have to worry about anything at all. With it being summer time, only two restaurants were open but both restaurants were lovely, you have the choice of a fine dining and also a more chilled one so great you have the different options still. They also have an incredible room service menu. What made it even more special, was each night after dinner in the buggy ride back to the villa they stopped off to show us the stars which they really didnt have to do but they did it as a gesture. The breakfast was also lovely, they had the buffet style but also a menu you could order from. I also booked the ice bath which was a really lovely experience. I have nothing bad to say about this resort, i was extremely sad to leave & will be back 100%. The road driving to the resort feels very lengthy but I promise you its worth it once you arrive. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay

Our family recently stayed at Qasr Al Sarab for 2 days, following recommendations from several friends in Korea. We have traveled extensively, but this was by far the most fantastic accommodation we've experienced. The views of the desert were breathtaking, and all the buggy drivers were exceptionally friendly. One particular staff member stood out for his kindness, and we even took a photo with him and our son.
The Kids Club was a highlight for us. The staff, especially a Myanmar employee and a short-haired female employee, played wonderfully with our child both in the Kids Club and the pool. Their care and attention were truly touching.
Overall, our stay at Qasr Al Sarab was nothing short of magical. Highly recommended!
