I was here for dinner with a group, best place in Dornbirn. I tried the Asparagus Risotto and it was awesome. I normally like the chili flakes in my risotto so I asked for them - I was given chili oil instead and it was super hot 😅😅. I had to order an ice cream to cool off I went with Chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and it was a BOMB ❤️. This place is a must visit!

Had dinner at the restaurant. The goose was devine. The chicken dish was splendid. The service was excellent. And our waitress spoke English which is brilliant for me, as a non-German speaker. The restaurant is cosy, relaxed, especially at the back tables. It feels old school and sheer perfection.

Today we caught a goose for the second time and again we were delighted! We look forward to having a wonderful evening at the restaurant again. In the meantime, all the best to Bettina and the Krone team? Mike and Stefan

The rooms are spacious, clean and have balconies, with antique decorations in the hallways. The breakfast buffet is elaborate and the coffee can be carried back to the room. It is located in the heart of the city of Vorarlberg and very convenient to walk down to the Tesco supermarket, University, Dornbirn cable car station, etc.

Lovely place and very welcome after a 14 hour drive had a pizza and shower and slept in comfy bed before a great breakfast before setting off again for Hermagor Austria . Thank you .

I have booked a room with a queen bed. A queen bed should be 160x200 so for 2 persons. It was a 140x200 and with one pillow and one bed sheet. I told them at the reception that this bed does not fit 2 person and we have one pillow and nothing extra in the room. They wanted to charge me for another bed sheet and pillow which I am allowed to have already 25€. Or I should book another room for my partner...

Our stay was wonderful! The hotel was conveniently located to good restaurants and other opportunities. The room was clean and comfortable. And those who worked there were very helpful and accommodating.

The location is fantastic and good selection from breakfast. But no kettle and mugs for tea or coffee refreshment in the room. For the price, I think there should be kettle and mugs for tea/coffee.

Nice hotel in the middle of Dornbirn. Super friendly service, good breakfast ( when available, not always die to Covid). Unfortunately no AC but some other cooling system that reduces the temperature a max of 2 degrees.

Breakfast Wonderful hotel that we use as a last one-night stay before driving the last way to the skiing areas. It would be great if the fantastic breakfast was served from 6am in the weekend so that we can enjoy this AND get into the skiing area when it opens (1h drive).

Good and clean but to expensive breakfast. I come here already for many years, hotel is nice and clean, good bed and so on. Only big minor, last week I visisted the hotel again and for the first time the breakfast was not included, I was asked to pay 21 Euro if I wanted to join the breakfast, I eat only 1 breadroll and 1 or 2 cups of coffee, so I was pretty shocked about this that I skipped it. Sorry...

We spent 2 weeks doing an Alps tour. We didn't really have any plans in Dornbirn, we just needed a place to crash for the night before heading into Switzerland. Incredibly beautiful window view, lovely peaceful atmosphere, superb cuisine (incl. vegetarian options and cocktails). Best home-made egg-noodles and home-made jam I've ever had! The staff were incredibly friendly in helping me with several special requests (e.g. extra soy milk). Thank you!

I like the property for its location, convenience, and pricing. However, while it is clean, it is tired and in desperate need of a renovation. Despite that, I will come back.

The Hotel got good location, service is great and staffs are friendly. Breakfast is wonderful .We did enjoy our Stay.

Be very careful with this hotel : - no air conditioning - Hotel right on a high traffic road Which means: Take a room on Garden side, otherwise you will not sleep ! No air conditioning or ventilation means you will need to open window during night, which you cannot do because of high traffic noise day and night on the road right next to it. Other than this : good price, breakfast OK, no fancy amenities...

This hotel truly deserves top marks. From the excellent service to the spotless rooms, everything was of high quality. The entire hotel had a pleasant, luxurious scent that added to the overall experience. Most notably, the breakfast was exceptional – easily one of the best we’ve had. The only minor drawback is the location, which isn’t ideal, but that’s beyond the hotel’s control.

Best experience I've ever had! Very clean, very comfortable, very calm and very beautiful. Food was delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful! Next time in Bregenz, I definitely visit this amazing hotel to spend several days and nights there.

Privately run hotel with plenty of parking. it is a 15 - 20 minute walk into Bregenz with an uphill return. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and well maintained with a reasonable air-conditioning. Breakfast is generous with a friendly service.

We first of all enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and we were impressed by the beautiful interior of the place. The spa was very enjoyable too.

We spent one night during the Festspiele in the Hotel and will surely go back next year :) This hotel and specifically the guest and the manager is demonstrating the classical timeless value of hospitality that should be adopted by even some 5 star hotels in other countries. Both the reception, the management of the guests, the organisation of dinner and answering ad how questions is absolutely effective...

Very nice hotel with excellent customer service! We stayed for the Bregenzer Festspiele in this Hotel. The hotel is roughly 15-20 minutes walk by foot away from the city center and about 30 minutes walk away from the Festspielbuehne. However, there is a free shuttle bus to the opera festival. A big plus is the very large and free parking at the hotel. Rooms have a very nice air con, in hot August days...

Have been to the Hotel Schwärzler many times and have always been very satisfied. Nice rooms, always clean, great new wellness center and great breakfast! The staff is always friendly. Everything just fits.

Netter Standort da nur wenige Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt. Zimmer war praktisch eingerichtet, nur leider kein Safe. Beim Frühstück gibt es eine große Auswahl an leckerem Essen.

Nice Hotel in the City Center. Breakfast: Price - quality good (for been in Austria) 12€ - all you can eat and drink. Rooms are simple but ok. Perfect for short trips. No Amenities (3€ extra if u need) which I find ok to not have because we never use it at the end...The Staff is nice. Negative: The Parking is expensive. And We were disappointed when in the second day, after the whole day skiing...

My husband and I stayed here in mid-September 2024. I was a little nervous because there was an event going on in the stadium across the road when we arrived. But the event ended before bedtime. Room and bathroom were clean. Modest room but comfortable. Front desk reception was very nice. Check in went smoothly. Our three nights here were very nice. It is a 10 minute walk to the train station and close...

The staff were very nice, but the price was excessive. I think we must have visited Bregenz on a holiday or something similar as the price of the hotel very very high for what was a basic room. Sadly I would like to say I'd return, but I felt ripped off at their pricing structure.

walkable distance from Bregenz train station and almost on the lake Konstanz. from the lake promenade you can use the underground railway walkaway to reach the main shopping street of the city. the hotel rooms are very quiet with perfect double glazed windows. we had a peaceful sleep. the beds were new with excellent mattresses much better than many hotels in Europe. the reception and restaurant staff...

The location of the hotel is very central and only a few meters from the water. Due to the location, it was also very noisy from the neighboring bars. We could only sleep after the windows were closed. But this should be clear when booking. Room very large and spacious. There could have been more choices at breakfast. Staff very friendly.

Check-in and check-out took too long. The room was clean, but there was no conditioner. The hair dryer seemed to be decades old and had a weak wind.

The room was comfortable, staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast is excellent, and the hotel is nearby to all that Bregenz has to offer The only negative is the lack of parking. Only 4 spots are available for patrons and the option is to park in the street. which costs just under 8 Euros. While it is a simple process with many self-serve pay stations, doing this at midnight is a pain.

This hotel was fantastic! The views were awesome, the bathroom was great! I loved the toilet! The hotel was very clean and when we checked in we were greeted by a VERY nice woman that was from the Dominican Republic!! She was very sweet and very helpful.. Good for short stay Quite a basic and really old fashioned (80s) hotel but our room (top floor) was quite modern and had a lovely balcony with partial view of lake. Friendly service, decent enough continental breakfast and central location. No on site parking available but public parking garage across the road ok.
