Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges
Fremantle, Cnr Marine Terrace and Essex St 🧭 Map
We love this hotel. The location is good. The room is clean.
Easy to get to everywhere in Fremantle. Public parking nearby too. The stuff were very nice. We had a day to Rottnest island, Rottnest express pick up service is right in front the hotel. It’s excellent for family with young children.
Situated in a very good location of Fremantle. Walking distance to nearby attraction, staffs were friendly. Will stay again :)
Absolutely disgusted in this property. Charged me, a single traveller, $58 PER DAY for breakfast and didn't even include coffee or omelettes. Has refused to even respond to my emails about this.
This is a really nice hotel. It is a modernized traditional Australian country building. Close to sea, reastaurants and train. Fantastic .
Our room was quite big. It comes with a queen and single bed. There's a balcony but there's no view.
The hotel location is very good You can walk to Fremantle Market in less than 5 mins. You can walk to Kailis Fishmarket Cafe or Cicerello's within 5 mins.
It is also very convenient if you are going to Rottnest Island because you can walk to the boarding place near the E Shed Market without having...

Basic accomodation with minimal but functional furniture great views of the marina and back right on to the water with parking is $15 /day extra thru reception. The thing is the location - close enough for a 1.5km stroll to excellent markets and Freo city bars..
Wonderful place to stay.
Great location but a bit far to walk to Fremantle itself. But we've got a car, $15 per day for parking...
Only negative is bath, shower combo. Not a fan with old knees. And no downstairs toilet :(
Excellent location.
PARKING COST VERY HIGH. 2units booked for 6 persons in each. 1 parking fee of $15 per day for just 1 car per unit. Remaining guests with cars forced to pay $36.80 per day 8am to midnight!! Ridiculous! Bathroom 2 in our unit requires an update. Small and shower curtain insufficient to prevent floor flooding with 4 adults sharing.
Living area nice but only 4 dining chairs(booked for...
It was a great comfortable stay for my family with 2 bedrooms. Receptionists were nice and considerate to make sure my room was away from the road works (which ended on the day I checked out). Housekeeping was amazing - much better than what I experienced in even 5 star hotels - just imagine a totally SPOTLESS double storey townhouse and they even changed the sheets daily I think (not necessary but...
Fantastic seaview! Room was equipped with microwave, cutleries which we could prepare breakfast and dinner. Room was clean and spacious. 10 min drive to B shed ferry terminal to Rottnest Island and there was 10% discount at nearby eateries such as Twinfin fish and chips and Ciecerello Fremantle Seafood restaurant. Thumbs up!

The room was clean and comfortable. We parked right outside our door. The breakfast was great. There was a huge variety of food to choose from.
Although the Room was spacious and Comfortable which is all you can ask for, other quests kept us awake until 04:00 am in the morning, we respectfully asked them to lower the noise as playing guitars and singing but they continued leaving us with a sleepless night, Breakfast was included and was basic but a welcomed additional bonus
Great stay , however people have no respect when parking next to U and scratch your car thanks white car that scratched my bright blue stationwagon.
near coogee beach where is a beautiful and convenient beach.
We stayed a room no window, but the ceiling has something that sun lights through.
The hotel room, public area and bathroom were clean.
The breakfast was fantastic, inside dining room and out seating.
free parking, easy check in and out.
public fridges and microwave.
Great value, very clean basic motel. Nothing fancy, bed comfortable, friendly staff. A little quirky with the very large private bathroom across the hall, but overall great value for money.
Staff are fantastic , Great, good value for money close to hospitals and Fremantle. Nice a quite

it was very modern and clean.
they let us check in early and check out late.
the staff were really accommodating and for my birthday.
the breakfast in the morning was small but what was on offer was very lovely and quality.
would definitely stay here again, it was very very nice
Absolutely loved this place, room was spotlessly clean, welcome message on bathroom mirror .... Nice touch. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was basic but delicious especially the nice jams. Free cheese biscuits and wine early evening in the brewery court yard. Location of hotel great for bars, restaurants and shops. Was so relaxing I rang our daughter to come and book a night so we could go out for...
Lacking Luxe ambience.
The pillows are cheap polyester, the complimentary continental breakfast is very very basic, toast and jam and coffee from an average coffee machine. .
Gym access wasn't explained or offered or available.
The good: location and unlimited complimentary water and also some nice amenities in the minibar.
Lovely hotel, small room and the bathroom is quite minimal. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is included and was surprisingly good, self made bread (I loved the fruit break) with yoghurt, berries, jam, Nutella, home made musli, coffee, tea and juices.
Even if the tiny rooms are real tiny, the place is lovely and the staff friendly and efficient. Very nice breakfast too. And last but the least, the story, the adventure, of the irish political convicts is told in a vivid manner. And the coffee is not bad at all.
Had a lovely stay! Little gem of a hotel. Staff are amazing and facilites wonderful for the area. Close to main drag in fremantle. Loved the breakfast and cheese and wine offering. Expect compact rooms. But with so much to do in fremantle no issues!

Vicki was amazing from our initial contact. I wanted to shout my son a nice place to stay for a few days before he started his new job. Vicki even organised a little basket of goodies for his arrival and the feedback from my boy was incredible. Next time Im in Perth I know where I'll be staying.
We stayed 4 nights. Great location. Everything a short drive, walk or free bus ride away. Super clean and modern. Good breakfast of cereals, baked goods, fruit salad, yoghurts, juices and very good coffee. Absolutely first rate customer service by Vicki. The other reviews are right. She is a gem. Very helpful and informative, she went way out of her way to make our first trip to Fremantle a great experience...
The main reason why our stay was wonderful is because of our amazing hosts Vicki and Pete. The are such lovely friendly people. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. We are looking forward to staying again. Thanks so much guys for your warmth and hospitality.
Beautiful modern rooms and facilities, excellent breakfast spread included - with an even better host! Vicki went above and beyond for our stay. Can’t thank her enough - will definitely be recommending and returning
Had a fantastic stay. Owner is lovely and looked after me well. It's a comfortable walking distance into the centre of Fremantle along the Esplanade and the blue cat bus also stops directly opposite. Wonderful breakfast also included with room. Would definitely stay here again next time I visit Fremantle
Cannot fault this place. Great location, great staff well priced and excellent amenities. Breakfast was spot on and the dining advice from Vicki was great. All in all great place and my new place for Freo.

Lots of fresh fruit, yummy gluten free muesli, soy milk and fresh baked sourdough with lots of spreads to choose from. Egg & bacon breaky was an extra charge of $15.
A beautiful historical home.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast was amazing.
Afternoon tea is available everyday.
Easy walking distance to Fremantle town centre .
The only downside was the very small shower.
Parking is very limited.
Wonderful staff. Room was really good very big. Art on display gave me lots of photo opportunities. Breakfast so wonderful plus cooked available.
We stayed at Fothergills in early March and found it to be a very charming old home with a warm, cosy vintage look and feel. The gardens were beautiful and our room (Endeavor) even had a private little deck overlooking the garden with a staircase down into it. The staff and proprietee were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. The continental breakfast selection was huge. Because we booked directly...
The room was really nice, clean and tidy and the extras were nice, however the room needs a good fresh air airing because it was a bit stuffy.
Great food for breakfast, the fruits were awesome 👌
Very close to Prison for our concert and Markets, great friendly service, quirky garden sculptures and art. Extra comfortable bed and chairs in room. Only issue for me as a larger man was toilet and shower cubicle a bit snug in our room. Other rooms do have full ensuite . Would definitely visit again

Discovery Parks - Woodman Point
Fremantle, Cnr 132 Cockburn Rd and Magazine Court 🧭 Map
Excellent nice and quiet. The camp ground staff are very nice they try thier best to accommodate your needs. And they inform your a day early for any maintenance that may effect the tenants stay.
What a great caravan (and chalet) park. If you can - book a hard stand rather than grassed sit (they are much more generous). This park has a great feel to it. Sites are pretty easy to access. We loved it. And will be back. Clean, well maintained. Walk (700mts) to the reserve and beach. A short drive to Fremantle.
I have stayed at woodman point quiet a lot over the last 3 years, it is my go to place as I feel safe & comfortable
The staff were friendly. We had a brief blackout (the whole suburb) and staff came around to notify us of what was happening. There are great walks to the beach and other parks, supermarkets and eateries a short drive away. It is in close proximity to Fremantle and Rockingham.
From country. We needed accommodation for 2 nights, with our small dog.
Absolutely blown away by the cleanliness of the cabin. The stove looked like it had never been used, it was that shiny. Everything immaculate.
The cabin had a smaller room, with a dog bed; 2 bowls for food & water & a rug.
Unfortunately we had to be out all day, with appointments, so didn’t get to go down the beach. But the park...

Dirty floors, no broom and smaller than the picture we saw on Wotif site. Bit late to cancel once you're inside property.
The property was great, with everything you need, even your own laundry. It was quiet and a very short walk to best beach in WA, in my opinion. Sunsets are just amazing.
The staff were very approachable and good to deal with.
The proximity to the beach is fantastic.
All in all an enjoyable stay.
Thank you.

Stayed 2 nights - The cabin (202) was ok but wasn’t clean at all, lots of cobwebs in the main lounge area, several dirty pots in the cupboards. They gave little satchels for washing up( but no scissors to open with - would be better if they just used a bottle of washing up liquid.
The only thing that seemed to have been cleaned was the shower area that stunk of bleach.
No wall plug in the bedroom...
James is very accommodating and welcoming in assisting us. The family had a wonderful time staying here. The beach is very calm in the morning our kids had a great time snorkeling… We will definitely come back. perfect for family
This terrific, affordable, little park, has a beachside location and a lovely, relaxed vibe. It has a mixture of unit accommodation for hire, and plenty of shady sites for vans and motor homes. The site allocated to our big motorhome, was spacious, and easy to access. There are many permanent residents, who over time, have developed and decorated their modest sites, with potplants and lush gardens...

On a busy public holiday we were incredibly grateful to find The Local Hotel open.
Even better than being open, the food was really, really good and reasonably priced. The craft beer on tap was wonderful too.
Overall, the service was flawless - friendly and helpful staff, extremely quick, and very accommodating all round.
5 Stars for consistency. Booze is varied and excellently curated. Food is reliable and well priced. Tunes are quality. Never had any attitude from a staff member in 8 or more years. Different rooms/themes. Support your local.
We visited from north Qld and liked the look of the pub and menu. The atmosphere is great with several different eating areas. The dinner menu selection is excellent, with generous serving of food that is great value for money. Lamb rump for two thoroughly recommended. A special shout out to Chad who went well above and beyond on Thursday evening, with his excellent customer service skills across bar...
Hands down one of the best pubs I’ve been to! Lovely staff, serviceable wine list, Coopers on tap and one of the best pub meals I’ve ever had. Ever. I had the Lebanese lamb rack and with the Za’atar potatoes … best pub potatoes I’ve ever had and best lamb, cooked anyway, at any pub, ever! No exaggeration at all. What an absolute gem of a pub. Just go there … try their food and drink with the locals...
We went for lunch today and we were really impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. This is the best pub lunch I've eaten for years. The lamb ribs were delicious, perfectly cooked, melted in the mouth (medium rare) and unlike many pubs, not covered in a sweet glaze, but in a savoury Lebanese sauce. The portion was generous and included potatoes and green salad. My garden salad and cheese board...

It was a unique experience to stay in the oldest prison in western australia.
We had a double decker in one of the cell blocks and showered in a ild shower that inmates used to use back in the day.
Its walking distance to the markets and cafes. Great place to stay
very near fremantle market. about 15-20min walk from fremantle ferry terminals which was great. the room was relatively clean. the rooms has no aircon but there's a small fan, u went it November so it was not hot. fun experience.

The hostel is a nice place. By far one of the best backpackers hostel I've stayed in the entire region of Perth.
Got lots of facilities here and things to entertain yourself. The location in Fremantle is alot quieter & peaceful unlike in the main city area of Perth.
My only complain so far is the vending machine. I put some coins in it to get my drink but later I got neither my drink or my coins...
Stayed in a few hostels in Fremantle but after coming to sundancer wouldn’t stay anywhere else! The pool is amazing in summer, such a lovely vibe in the kitchen with people making group meals and plenty of places to chill out/ play pool/ work if you need. Convenient location, clean rooms. Limited reception hours. Wheelchair access room is good but they did not have an appropriate shower chair had to make do with one of the outdoor chairs which was a bit unstable.
