Nice spot right in the middle of Freo city area. Place looks historic and it fits the location. The room is quite cosy and its contains a mini fridg, a kettle, but no microwave. Shops are just around so you can explore as much as you want. There is also a 7/11 not too far from here. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely simple place to stay with lots of character. Delicious banana bread included with breakfast. This was not an issue for us but all the rooms are all up a narrow staircase or two. Just something to note for those with mobility issues.

Convenient location so easy to get to other places from there by foot. Two great restaurants opposite the accommodation. Good amount of food offered for breakfast although my husband would have preferred toast.

Fantastic location - central to pretty much everything you’d want to see and do in Freo and set within a secure, gated complex. We stayed in the Batavia room which, with its ensuite and courtyard facing balcony, was a well appointed shabby chic/French farmhouse themed affair - clean and tidy and while a little crowded, was more than fit for purpose. Hotel: clean&great Tea Room. Loud on weekends (the pub!) Luggage storing after checkout. Free WiFi is bad, A/C is poor. Order ur invoice properly-even agreed before, can't be changed after. Irish!

Wedges are amazing also try the soda bread, absolutely delicious 

We had a lovely afternoon. We took the Escape tour and a great tour guide ensured a fantastic experience for all. A fun way to learn about the history of WA.

I remember a school excursion from primary school many years ago, and everything appears much smaller. I'm now 195cm tall though, which makes the doorways look so much smaller, and ducking under them to get to the toilets is a lot further down. the location is perfect, close to the beach and public transport. spacious for a family of 4+ and cot, high chair and baby gates provided.

Had a wonderful stay here. Michael went above and beyond to make our stay special. Very clean rooms and high quality linen. Great position opposite shark net and lifeguards on Cottesloe Beach. General Store 5 minutes walk away does lovely coffee and pastries baked on site. Quick room service.

Food was delicious. Pizzas were definitely a must try. All mains were great sizes. Share plates also very good sizes, loved the squid. Service was great. Hotel does need to be renovated, very old and run down.

Booked in for a post wedding drinks and nibbles gathering. Great vibe, Little creatures on Tap and delicious sour dough pizzas. We had a great time!

Absolutely Excellent service! Michael at reception was amazing the staff in the bar and restaurant were amazing. They went above and beyond for me and I wasn’t even a guest there. All my requests to make things special for my brother and partner was an absolute success! Thank you so much for the great service team. Stayed here for a week in March 2012. Loved the place, easy access to the city and Fremantle. The beach is close by - chalet is not directly opposite the beach which is good - cooler in the afternoon and evening. Unit was comfortable, receptionist was friendly. Supermarket is not far away, fish and chips shop is nearby. Will return here next time I visit Perth

Great food - wood fired pizza 😍 and impeccable service by David, gave us great tips for Rottnest Island. Clean and comfy rooms.

Upon arriving was greeted by the friendliest and helpful staff, David was excellent and helped us to check in, loan their bikes, and provided a comped upgrade to oceanview room (beautiful!) great comfy beds will stay again thanks team!

Great location, very convenient. Enjoyed the verandah and ocean view. Choices of bars with a great view, a great relaxing meal at the Terrace. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the bicycles.

One of the best hostels in australia! Good vibe, nice people and excellent staff. Rooms are nice and there is a cozy inner courtyard where people meet in the evening. Best location near the beach with bars and supermarkets nearby. All u ever wanted :)

It was good, the views are nice and the staff are friendly but the toilets are kind of hidden at the back up some stairs with minimal signage. Food was good but not legendary; for the price, you could go anywhere else and have a similar thing. Overall a nice experience

The double oom was okay. It was clean and it had a fridge and a water boiler. I liked the fact that it had a private bathroom ☺. What I disliked was the music non stop until 11pm!!! Almost nobody in the hostel but the music.... Also the wifi worked JUST in the reception...so I didn't use the 3 G!... And in the kitchen... I needed almost one hour to do pasta because the electronic kitchen seemed never...

I spent really nice time, atmosphere is good, all of staff are friendly. Also I can relaxed because the room have bathroom. There is everyday cleaning. Except every night party, I recommend there. If you can sleep though party sound..!

Cozy and home feel apartment in quiet area. There are some apartments with various interiors to choose from. One bedrrom apartment with spacious living room and kitchen. It's so perfect for those who opt for short term (or long term) stay in this area. I was accompanying my children to settle down in Thomas More college and this was a perfect choice as it's walking distance to UWA. The property owner...

The apartment is well kept. Given its age you cannot expect ‘wow’ factors, but the owner also lives in one of the apartment and is very friendly and helpful with your needs. Do report any issues directly to the owner to his mobile for quick response.

A very nice completely equiped and furnished unit with a living room, bedroom, a smaller bedroom, and a bathroom. It is walking distance from UWA campus and also from the lovely Mathilda Bay on the Swan river. The city center, Fremantle and Cottesloe beach are easily reached by a short busride.

The apartment unit was kept clean and we were very happy to have been able to stay nearby amenities i.e. eateries, convenient stores as well as the beautiful Swan River. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Definitely an accommodation worth recommending for!

Well-equipped, spacious apartment in a quiet area with good bus connections into the city.

Beautiful older style building but when you step thru the door of unit the only way to describe it is palacial. The caretakers/hosts Rod&Anne are an absolute wealth of knowledge. The unit was just like home. Highly recommended and extremely close to city and easy to get around.

I have stayed in lots of the short term rented apartments in this area and Kenata is the best so far. Not excessively luxurious, but everything you need and spotlessly clean. Ideal if you are visiting UWA.

This place is suitable for short-term accommodation. If you want to visit UWA and need a nearby place, this is for you. However I guess it's rent is a bit higher.

Very comfy and strategic location. Just a few minutes walk to busses that goes to the city or towards Claremont/Freo/Subi. I loved my stay experience at this place everytime I'm here. The rooms and furniture are always kept at tip top conditions and everything is clean and just at the right spots. A quiet and calm environment too as it is located beside UWA. Good distance to Broadway Shopping mall...

Really comfortable, clean, spacious and well equipped apartment, every detail is considered, including fast free WiFi, and everything you need is here. Close to local shopping centre and just a short walk to the Swan River. Rod and Anne are very welcoming and friendly. Why stay in a hotel when you can have a big well equipped apartment with kitchen, washing machine, patio, etc? Very strongly recommended

We were sceptical about this place when we booked it but we were pleasantly surprised with the room. It was very clean, tidy and quiet. Our booking had breakfast included which again we were sceptical about and thought it might have just been toast and cereal but again we were pleasantly surprised with a huge clean tidy dining area with a cooked breakfast. This is somewhere I would definitely recommend...

Nice venue but parking is shocking on weekdays for events.

Great view, nice location with plenty greater and a big ground with dogs allowed. Definitely a good idea for a week long stay.

Lovely accommodation - peaceful, bright and very well fitted out with everything you need. So close to UWA, the hospital and the city but with no traffic noise - you feel like you are miles away! The perfect spot for exploring Perth.

This is reasonably priced accommodation. Clean and well appointed. It is only a short ferry ride accross the Swan to Perth CBD. I recommend a stay here if you are local or a tourist.

Convenient and comfortable cooking. Warm water comes out well, heater and air conditioner are well. The wifi works well.
