The Station Hotel
Jindabyne, 8228 Snowy River Way 🧭 Map
Skiing
The Station Resort is an older Hotel that is spread out over a large area with heaps of different sized rooms. There's a central Laundry Room that reminds you of Caravan Parks. There's also a Reception Centre and a few eating areas and a few meeting spaces. It's located 5kms from the centre of Jindabyne. The rooms are basic with beds, some storage, a mini fridge and an ensuite. Overall it's clean and...
so many spiders?? literally crawling all over the bathroom. windows and walls are covered in cobwebs. walls are SO thin. we could hear every word the people next to us said all night. the food is good, but SO GOD DAMN expensive, it's unreal. the location is great, but if you're staying here dont expect much.
I have been twice, rooms are always nice and warm in winter, and the beds are some of the most comfy I have ever felt in a motel. Only complaint is the walls in the rooms are paper thin and you can hear any noise no matter how small in the neighbouring rooms and having at least a microwave would be good, you can tell they don't want patreons cooking their own food so they will go to the restaurant...
Does the basic job. Rooms are as described, dated but relatively clean. Paper thin walls we had to buy ear plugs to sleep through the night. No issues with our heater or hot water, plenty of parking space. Would like to have a table.
Good for big families or a group of friends to live together. Reasonable price to share the accommodation. Some of the rooms are a bit tooo far from the place you park your car. Will try buffet next time there, heard it is from 6-9pm.
Always a great stay at the Station, Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. It’s so nice to hear the kookaburras and see kangaroo’s driving to the room. Our room this stay had a drying room and digital TV. For affordable priced accommodation the Station has always been our number one pick for Jindabyne accommodation.

Rooms are large, but pretty dated. WiFi drops in & out. Good service though. Great location. Great view from room. Would be good if bikes were complimentary, at least during the off season.
Staff were all really helpful and friendly. The view we had from our room was fantastic. The sofa bed in our room needs to be set alight, it was terrible. The bed could use a mattress topper. Breakfast was fantastic. Unfortunately the night we stayed the bar and restaurant was closed so couldn’t go. Is in a great location
I just keep coming back to this Hotel. The room is always neat & tidy, self-contained with a view over the water that is just stunning. I have eaten dinner at the Restaurant each time I have stayed and the food is always spot on. The restaurant itself is intimate & warm with gas fireplaces close by which is perfect for the cooler nights. Location is also perfect with Brumby Bar across the road (recently...
Terrific location right by the lake and easy walk to town. Units are small but comfortable and well set out. Good bar and restaurant. Well worth staying at.
Good location. Very pricey as room was really out of date. Bed was really uncomfortable and to high.. Make sure u don’t have a large car as you will park in a cave. Indoor heated pool wasn’t what I would call heated. Staff were nice, breakfast good. Nice looking bar and roof top garden.
Excellent location with outstanding views from our executive apartment. Rooms a bit dated and housekeeping could be improved. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included which was good value. Easy walk to shops etc. Embers restaurant good food.

Loved it. Typically cold this time of year but everyone was friendly and prompt to assist with enquiries. We had a king room overlooking the Lake which was amazing.
Perfect place to stay if you want to be in the centre of Jindabyne, have comfy beds, and have heating when it’s cold! Right next to the pub which has great food, multiple pool tables, and music on some nights. My favourite part was waking up to the beautiful lake in the mornings. No view like that anywhere else I’ve stayed in jindy!!! Thanks for a great stay :)
Stayed for 3 nights. It was cheapest accomodation i found. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, beautiful view of the lake. The only issue (for a snowy town ) no drying room. Pub food also great! Would stay again .
Stayed here a few times for work, found it to be great . Large size rooms with big comfy beds with a great view over the lake. Cool little bar with great bar meals and excellent stuff. But the best part about this place has always been the buffet breakfast, huge selection of everything you want and more.
The location was amazing and the bed was so comfortable. I liked that I was sent the code so we could go straight to our room and not have to waste time checking in
Dropped into "Pub" for Lunch . Very accommodating for our order. Little bit different from the "norm". Cleo was very helpful with advice on order and Jayden ( Chef) did a great job .. PERFECT --

If you read the reviews, do your research, set your expectations, taking into account that accommodation close to ski fields is sought-after and ridiculously expensive, I think Snowy Valley hit the mark for us. It was the perfect base and we slept well (brought our own pillows just in case). It’s “budget” by ski accommodation standards but we were warm and had a great view of the lake, everything...
The room was clean, warm and dry. Beds were comfortable. Shared bathroom was clean and functional. This is not a 5 star hotel - but it is great value for money. The thing that really made it for me was the friendly staff and how they went out of their way to help us when our car had problems.
Good value for money. But is cramped with 6 people in a room. And one bathroom between 9 people. Gear from the store was broken or ill fitting. Bar is always lively. Views are nice.
The accommodations is stock standard. Breakfast and dinner is good solid food. The equipment service is available on site and at thredbo, which makes it easy to have you equipment adjusted accordingly to your needs. Staff is friendly and the overall service is casual and easy going. The saying you get what you pay for. Everything is fairly budgeted. The bar and pool room with a fire is nice and there...

The facilities were clean, in good repair and the property excellently maintained! The location was great too!
We had a family stay for my husbands 60th birthday. We all would highly recommend staying here. Really enjoyed all the facilities. Great playground and jumping pillow for our grandson. Cabins were extremely clean. Staff were always helpful and friendly. We definitely will be returning for a longer stay.
It was my first time visiting Jindabyne. The location of discovery park is superb, you can easily turn up to Kosciusko road after you exit the park. We booked the deluxe cabin with lake view, has everything we need. The bedroom is a bit small though. The living room is equipped with AC so good for hot days. Although I suspect in winter whether it will be cold in bedroom. Overall, good value for money...
We stayed a night in summer in a cabin on our way out of a bigger camping trip. The park ticked all the boxes we needed for great value and great facilities- we used the sauna and spa; kids had a bit of a jump on the jumping pillow and playground; and the Maya Thai restaurant was excellent. Cabin was clean and cosy with a great spa bath. The communal living room and kitchen looked like great spaces...
Cabin was cozy space wise, but advertised to show this. Staff were friendly, we always saw maintenance/gardening staff about. Facilities were incredible. Easy access to the water & cycle path in to Jindabyne.
The two bedroom cabin was quite spacious. The second bedroom with the bunk beds was very small. The beds were comfortable. On the flip side, they didn't provide enough supplies for a family of 5, for a multinational night stay. The location is about 4 km from the main road.

Lovely owners. Place could be improved with a little renovation to soundproof rooms or new bedsheets. Otherwise a perfect base for skiing and nice way to fuel up before going up the mountain.
Neat, clean and affordable accommodation walking distance from the shops. Friendly service from Ian (pom) and Ann. Really happy with the rooms and breakfast. The beds were fairly comfortable and the rooms were warm. It was nice to have a hot shower after a long day on the slopes. Only down side was the parking situation, if you can't get a spot in the car park outside the accommodation you have to...
Great spot nice and close to the town Center. Chalet was clean and tidy! Ideal set up for snow boards and gear. Owner was a bit of a stiff and kept our bond for making to much noise early hours of the morning. We had fist night fever but probably fair enough. All and all great spot. We will be back
Wonderful experience staying at Chalet Jindabyne! It was exactly what we needed (and as listed/outlined in descriptions on booking & website). Lovely, friendly, interesting hosts. Beautiful view. Yummy breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in summer and look forward to returning in winter months!! Thank you.
Would stay again, for sure! :) Very clean and tidy. Room had everything what was needed and my room was already pre-heated when I arrived (!!!) Thanks to the lovely staff (Pom and his wife). Made the short stay even more beautiful! Great breakfast as well - everything you need to get your energy level up to spend the day on the mountain! Can't wait to come back! :) Jana

Very friendly hosts, stunning views and wildlife, great bar for a night cap, beautiful comfy beds - we loved it all and will be back.
We just spent 4 nights at Altitude 1260 and it was just perfect. This is the ultimate lodge experience, for couples or for the whole family! Graham, Natalie, Glen and the whole staff were so hospitable and just amazing at making us feel at home. The home cooked meals were so delicious and with an extensive red wine list we were in heaven! The two wood fires were running every night and kept the lodge...
We had the most amazing experience. Nat and Graeme where super welcoming, they make you feel like part of their family. The views are magic and the place is so peaceful. The sunsets are magic and you can see the mountains and the lake. It is very close to the ski tube and I found this was the easiest way to get to Perisher. I believe is close to Thredbo too. Going up to the property is a dirt road...
What a stunning location! Very friendly, professional and welcoming hosts. Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. Meals were delicious! A perfect spot to sit, unwind with a glass of red. Will be back for sure!
Thank you to the owners Nat and Graeme for a truly memorable stay. The entire experience was truly delightful. Stunning views, great wine, delicious food, clean rooms and friendly staff. We've found our home away from home and look forward to returning again soon.
What an amazing stay! Nat and Graeme really are great hosts it felt like we were part of the family. Lovely modern, spacious room, well-appointed. Very comfy bed, plenty of space. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! Lots of choice of hot food, cereal, juice, coffee etc. Delicious! Very convenient location, close to lake, shops and cafes. The restaurant is excellent too, with beautiful lake views.
This review is for the burger and pizza restaurant part of Banjos. Was recommended this place to eat and cant recommend to anyone else. Its just very average. We bought 3 burgers, a pizza and chips. Price was average and food was average. Chips were very nice but way overpriced. Burgers were like a fish and chips shop yet they charge more for it. One of the burgers was barely warm! Pizza was good though...
Tina at the front desk was the best! I arrived on Christmas eve for two nights and nothing was a problem. I was on a motorbike and she got my room ready early. I slept for 11hrs in their AMAZING beds and even got a late check out because of the stormy weather. I'll be back FOR SURE! And the included buffet breakfast? WOW!
We looked for a “place to sleep” and this hit the mark. Checked in late via the bar (reception closes at 4pm) with no issues. Modern and clean room. Bathroom small but adequate. Staff obliging with a late checkout when our 8wo decided he wanted to feed as we were packing up
Staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a great way to start the days adventures. The quality of the food in the onsite restaurant and bistro was excellent. We look forward to returning next season. Thank you

The bathroom was very spacious and clean, although very cold. The beds were quite comfy too. The room was also very clean with clean towels and bathroom toileteries.
The owner is very friendly and helpful, and just great to talk to. The overall atmosphere of the place was nice and the location (close to town but not in town) was ideal. The shower was impressive - hot water in about 2 seconds!
The rooms are tiny, but do the job if you are just staying here to ski up at Perisher. It’s puts you very very close to the ski resort and is a solid choice for cheaper accommodation. however the rooms themselves aren’t very good, you shouldn’t come to this motel expecting 5 star rooms. The first floor provides food, a choice of either ramen or pizza, and also provides a drying room for items of clothing...
Ok, I hate being negative but... this joint really needs some work... the renovations done in room 41 bathroom where so bad and unfinished, the curtains done close, street lights shine in. $458/1 night was steep for 2 of us but wouldn't be too bad this time of year if we filled the 6 bunk beds.. the photos on line certainly don't align with the photos I took. Based on the room appearance I didn't...

Good accomodation for families. Good views from upper levels. Easy no contact check in and out. Short drive or 20 min easy walk to township.
Im not sure of why this placr only got 3.8 star, by reading through the comments, looks like a lot of these are against customer service. We had one night stay here and it was contactless check in, everything was easy and straightforward. We got lake view room which was nice. Id love to come back for another visit during snow season. Hopefully the service is still as awesome as the one I had yesterday
Cosy motel to stay at if in the area with free wifi and ample parking. We booked for 2 people last minute due to cancellation of camping plans. Some very good points and one minor negative point. It's One of the better "lodge" style accommodation and definitely value for money. Parking is ample. Centrally located across from the lake, 5 mins walk to nuggets crossing shops and 20 mins to the snow fields. This place is great. Staff are super friendly. Beds comfy, warm rooms. Hot Breaky was included and served with a smile. We absolutely loved our stay. And would highly recommend. Thanks team.
I wish I can rate 6 out of 5. It is a really good experience in staying Jindy inn. Thanks Claire for caring us and made delicious coffee at the last day. Thanks Lucie for her warm welcome and prepared blankets for my son. Will come back again. ooxx

Good accommodation for the price, small but cozy room with a bar fridge, closet and unsuit. The kitchen is equipped with enough to make a simple meal.

First impressions upon arrival are not good. Its an aged building in need of renovating and some repairs. However the place was warm, the beds comfortable, the people were friendly and a simple breakfast was included. WiFi also Really can't complain given the price. Good budget accommodation.
Nice place. Perfect for skiing base. Run by a very friendly family. Central heating. Our own bathroom. Everything was clean. Good breakfast - bacon & eggs :-) Can reccomend!
