Our 4 bedroom villa was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. What we stayed at was a villa with an en-suit master room and an upstairs bedroom, which is conveniently suitable for my family. The staff were friendly. The resort is near to Home Beach, where has a stunning evening sea view. Just a 5-min walk. A 5-min drive can take to Cylinder Beach where my daughters had surfing lesson in a morning which was full of fun. A nice stay.

We recently stayed at Allure for two nights and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. We stayed in a family shack which backed onto the bush. The deck was a very peaceful place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The shack was clean, and comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location, directly across from Home Beach. Thanks to the team at Allure who were all very friendly and helpful.

Apartment was clean and well furnished. Kitchen was stocked with all necessary equipment for cooking meals. Property within easy walking distance to local shops and eateries. Pool and external areas well maintained. Quiet. Nearby scenic walk of coastal views.

Nice apartments that are close to most of the spots you want to visit on the island. It has covered and secure parking. The layout is a bit confusing, but once you figure it out it's easy to navigate. My kids loved the game room and pool.

This is just scraping into a 4 star review. The hotel certainly lives up to its name in terms of watching whales. The view is breathtaking with hundreds of whales coming past mostly in the morning and the afternoon. The room was super spacious with a big kitchen and a pantry. The bathrooms and the bedrooms were also very generous. The pool is a nice size with chairs and amenities there as well. However...

We could not recommend this resort more highly Peter and his wife found us a a great room with a beautiful view at the very last minute. We enjoyed 2 nights of comfort in a newly renovated room with a view of the ocean which allowed us to watch the whales swim by from the lounge room. The staff were friendly the grounds were immaculate I could fault the place. Thanks so much for a very memorable experience...

Stayed here for a weekend recently with 3 couples. Nice place to stay. Well appointed and in a good position close to cafés, restaurants, shops and pubs.

I find it hard as a male to relax in a Day Spa environment, but Scarlet made my visit totally welcoming and comfortable. I will definitely be visiting Scarlet next time I am on Straddie.

One of the best place to spend your weekend. It has beautiful beaches if you lucky you can watch dolphin and whales. You can surf and boat here. Try sand boarding, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba here. You can stay at Montana scuba club with very cheap price.

I found the staff not as friendly as they claim to be on the website. Upon arrival there the TV wasn't working. No wifi. Called for help was given wrong password. Front desk said everything in email, which couldn't be accessed without wifi. The pool wasn't cleaned for 2 days .. full of leaves. If there's more than 2 people staying,be prepared to bring your own supplies such as toilet paper, dish...

The property we stayed in was lovely. The views were gorgeous from the balcony. The apartment had everything we needed including a massive bbq and outdoor area. Only slight issue was one toilet seat was very old and needs updating and a few of the sliding doors need oiling. Other than that, everything was thought of and included. We had a fabulous time and were close to everything .The pool and grounds are beautiful. Even walking distance to the pub. The only thing was no full length mirror or air conditioning (just fans). But a beautiful ocean view and undercover parking.

We would have liked air conditioning but the fans were good too. So beautiful and clean , pool was amazing and the rooms were very well equipped. Also Wayne is nice.

We holiday at the islander at least once a year. Donna and Seamus are wonderful hosts and nothing is ever too difficult. We love the location right across from home beach and the large airy apartments. The tennis court and swimming pool are a wonderful bonus not found elsewhere on the islander. This is the perfect family escape for us!

A beautiful place! Spacious units. Very well maintained grounds & a great pool. Very helpful manager. We return every year & leave looking forward to our next holiday at The Islander Holiday Resort.

We love our family holidays at The Islander. The room sizes are huge, plenty of bedding and space for our family to hang out, a fully functional kitchen with everything you need and a beautiful pool and full size tennis court. The grounds are kept perfectly manicured and the pool is cleaned daily. It is honestly the best place to stay when holidaying at ‘Straddie’.

This is a great place to stay! We enjoyed its close proximity to the beach and other amenitied. The Manager is very friendly and accommodating and provided us with information about the island. We had a fabulous stay in a 1 bedroom apartment for a week. Perfect location with easy access to the beach. I was concerned re lack of air con, however this was not an issue as we had a great breeze flow thru the apartment. Was lovely sitting on the balcony and watching the stars. Omg. This place is amazing. 200 metres to main beach. Pet friendly. Modern fit out. Koalas right outside the kitchen window. Bush stone curlews living under the house. Balcony with BBQ. Everything you could wish for. Will stay here again. Our families new favourite place.

We had a fabulous time here, however its a "very open" house. Allows lots of insects and spiders to enter. It wasnt the cleanest place as I would have expected for the price. Some stains in the bedding and towels, so certainly not for everyone! Also there were broken fans and kitchen utilities were not really great to use (knifes not sharp, dirty pots etc).On the bright side, the location is amazing...
