A bit ridiculous as I was just hopping out the shower and had to shout as I saw the door opening, as I got out. Just a “sorry” is unacceptable and should not have happened in the first place. I do not know what the intentions of the housekeeping staff was but I would not trust this place.

Rockhampton was a halfway stop on our way to the Whitsundays. We had low expectations, but everything was spot on with this accommodation - easy to find, easy to securely park, helpful staff, large clean apartment, nice views ( we were on 6th floor). Nothing not to like and absolutely perfect for our needs. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

Edgy Apartments by the river Very central apartment, right by the Fitzroy river and close to the centre of Rockhampton. Generous size for a 1 bedroom apartment, very private and sound proofed. Did not hear another guest the entire time. Tru Fusion Indian Bar and Grill downstairs has AMAZING food, thoroughly recommend.

I was super excited to go to Rockhampton for the first time. I drove 9 hours with my autistic 17 year old. I have a long family history here but had not visited before and I’m 46 years old. When I arrived, happy to be at their hotel, their 3 staff at reception were transactional. These were the first people I meet in Rockhampton. Please know I stay in backpacks all the way to high end hotels but...

Clean room, good WiFi. Good central location. Lifts were being redone. Bathroom in my room... the bath/shower floor felt like it may let go at any moment. Food from the restaurant was typical pub fare.

The hotel is old and can be seen in the public areas. Carpets are tattered and with the walls and elevator requiring attention. With that said the room i was in, was clean and neat. The room was in very good condition. The only issue was the bath tub had a cra k that was patched with a bit of fibreglass and resin, coat of paint would have helped the patchwork which looked average. The staff were...

Staff were really the only high point for us. Would have been much lower rating without the lovely staff. Not impressed with the room. The red fabric chairs were gross (stained and one had something, food I hope, dribbled down one arm that hadn't been cleaned off at all). Pretty good if/when the water works properly. Comfortable beds but the pillows suck. Quiet rooms. Good menu. Very Friendly and helpful staff. 24/7 front desk. Good price for what you get. The place had really improved over the last 3-6 months.

Arrived 10 minutes before closing of the kitchen. Was able to still order a meal. The steak was a little over cooked for a medium but the steak was beautiful and tender. Well presented meals. They had problems with beer on the tap, staff very polite, suggesting alternative beverages. The Maori girl who served us went above and beyond her duty to ensure we enjoyed our meal and drink.?

Good motel, in the centre of Rockhampton, which is run by really nice people. Some comments made previously regarding the need for a little routine maintenance are correct, but overall a good motel. I would recommend!

The staff (owner) is very helpful and friendly. He help us to park our car in a big spot and parked his car next to us to protect it prevent any other car dent.

The motel room was clean, reasonable bedding, a good overnight stay on our road trip. We would choose again.

Conveniently located in Rocky city, the pool is great, cleanliness, friendliness and service from Managers, Andy and Geoff, was excellent. They truly make you feel important and at home.

Very comfortable stay. Only issue was the shower head was a bit mouldy. Will definitely stay again.

Enjoyed the room. However, itsl needs a bit of TLC as the sconce cover was broken and the cover for the remote to the air conditioning was loose. Great massaging shower head.

The rooms were clean and the staff are polite. One aircon was pretty load and the place could use a general update. However mostly good.

They tried very hard I thought. But ultimately, its at the bad end of Bolsover St. Hopefully this changes over time.

Cool A/C lovely spacious well appointed apartment that is central to everything. Car parking is a bit dodgy getting in and out. Always on street parking if your rig is bigger than a Landcruiser. Great Coffee shop restaurant downstairs via lift.king size bed is comfy.

Stayed here 3 nights in a suite which was a lovely spacious room with friendly helpful staff. Room was very clean and tidy, wasn't overlooking the river but that wasn't so bad as the in-house room service from Cafe Bliss down stairs is sensational. Great breakfast and well needed coffee in the morning!!!!

Awesome Hotel!! Hidden Gem as I've previously stayed in other hotels whilst in Rocky. Easy access, huge well appointed room, the best café restaurant down stairs! I cant recommend enough, I will be back.

Stayed two nights in the Penthouse Apartment, Which has a very large self heating SPA....Did I mention the very large hot SPA !! Sorry the staff are great always quick and happy to help the penthouse is large with a king bed and more than the usual features...Great place to stay and still not hard on the hip pocket for what you get...I will be back !!!!!

Booked the place at a very special rate online and was not disappointed. They are strategically placed near in the city with lots of dining options within walking distance. I just have a few minor grouses here and there. I paid for it online after booking but was told by the owner to pay again when I checked in. He did not even check before asking for payment. Overall, a reasonable hotel for an overnight stop. The hotel had or was: I stayed in room 8 and the room was large and contained a queen size bed, a large TV, microwave, kettle and a private bathroom. We needed a last minute roof over our heads for the night ...... the Welcome Home Motel provided us with a basic clean tidy room ...... We found it online ...... The lady was very warm and welcoming ...... They also offer free WiFi should you require it ......

Good for a few nights' stay at an affordable price. Everything is clean and pleasant looking except for the green striped decor thing that is behind the beds.

Can only speak for the restaurant. One of the best dinners we had experienced on our first visit, although change of ownership has definitely taken a turn for the worst. We are Rocky Locals so can only review the Restaurant. We went for dinner, Very Friendly Staff with conversation prior to dinner. The new Chef did an great job the Food was Awesome (Seafood Pasta and a Chicken Dish. Desert topped off the meal nicely. Great Value for money, we will be back Thank You.

Super welcome and clean comfy room. It’s a motel on a main road, you don’t expect the ritz. Greeted on arrival with a big smile and super friendly and helpful, which means a lot. Room was absolutely fine for a one night stay to break up a journey. We were really lucky and got to have a late check out, which we really appreciated.

The room is clean and the space is reasonable. I just need to stay here for one night and continue my trip the next day. I think Palms motor Inn serves the need perfectly.

Great place to stay in Rockhampton The room was very clean, and pretty large, with a big walk-in wardrobe. The room has a toaster, kettle, a coffee maker of some kind, different kinds of tea, and a fridge with free milk for the tea. There's also a small-ish swimming pool out front.

We always stay here when travelling to Rockhampton, it's easy and no hassle. One of the few places that allow our dogs. We come back everytime. The food is great too

Nice bistro but the team need to lift it a little. Ordered an entree to come out as a main - it came out as an entree (so did the table beside us). The garlic prawns were not so garlicky but more creamy. Otherwise staff were friendly and venue well appointed

Best dam local pub in the best suburb on the East Coast of Australia. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere with great value for money meals so you can lose the rest of ya pay on the horses or the keno. In my opinion, It has one of Australia's most celebrated apprentice in the kitchen. What more can a guy ask for?

My family and I booked double and single rooms at the Park Avenue Hotel for a weekend in Rocky and we were really happy with the excellent service and lovely clean rooms. We all slept very well in the comfy beds and quiet location. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff are so friendly and helpful which really made our stay.

Can't say about the rooms but have come here multiple times now. Either to eat or for schooling that has hired out their board rooms. Very lovely atmosphere, friendly stuff, professional service and even has a little room for the kids to play in

Friendly host and cute dog! Basic facilities and close enough to walk into town. Fine for stopping off point.

The staff where lovely adequate facilities but not clean had cobweb’s all around the windows

The host was friendly enough, room was clean, bed was clean and comfortable, loungroom and bathroom was clean, pool looked nice but didn't get a chance to go in because of storms. Everyone mainly kept to themselves.
