Recently stayed here for a wedding and the food and venue were very well done. Having the ceremony overlooking the water was beautiful. However unless you're staying in the main lodge the rooms are very dated and you'd think for the price you're paying that the rooms would be in better shape.
It is a new spacious corner room with two windows, one of the windows has a full water view. The interior design is contemporary. Wood floor, morden furniture. The washrooms and the shower area are elegant. The sensor light in the washrooms was impressive. The room was clean. The service was excellent. The sound isolation was not great, could hear normal conversation next door.
Great stay start to finish! The property is beautiful, front desk attendant greeted us and gave us a map of the property, pointed us in the right direction. We got a call a couple hours after check in to ensure everything was suitable in our room (a nice touch) Room wasn’t overly extravagant but very clean and had all the basics. Complimentary breakfast was served in a beautiful building with views...
Friendly staff, great servers, breakfast included. Great views of the Bay and nice small size gym, sauna, pool and hot tub. It would have been nice to have a microwave but they did provide a fridge if I can properly recalled. Live music on Friday evenings by the main building.
We walked the property and it was great. Room was great and comfortable. Went to the bar and listened to music, chatted with another couple, great evening.
Me and my husband stayed at the Inverary resort and had a very pleasant experience. Though we had not pre booked the room, the front desk staff kindly helped us to book the right choice of room at a reasonable rate. We enjoyed the hot sauna, pool and hot tub a lot. The dinner was also good. We had a wonderful sleep, with no disturbance at the property. Property had beautiful views of the lake too....

Very friendly staff. Easy to find and close to all amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable.
clean, comfortable room. parking space. friendly staff. Maybe it is just us, but when booking, we were under the impression that we would stay in the historic building. it was quite a disappointment to find our room in the motel behind the building.
We booked into the restaurant at the Telegraph House for an 8pm dinner on a Monday not being sure what to expect and discovered this lovely old inn hides a fantastic restaurant. We ordered the lobster salad for a starter and it was delicious. The maple candied walnut salad really complimented the lobster tail perfectly. For mains my wife ordered the broiled haddock and i got the 6oz steak and they...
The location is nice and quiet. There are restaurants and bars nearby. The people working there are very nice. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open yet for the season. I stayed there 2 nights. I didn't know it but my wife had sent me a father's day card as a surprise. Unfortunately it didn't get there yet. I asked the workers and they hadn't seen it. I asked them to forward it to me at...
Fantastic! They were super kind for accepting us and our two dogs in april 2022 for 2 nights in Cape Breton! The room was clean and had everything we needed, it was very quiet. We loved the city with it's nice little waterfront walk, the amazing Pizza restaurant and friendly staff everywhere. A very nice place to stay if you go in Cape Breton and a good starting point for the Cabot Trail!
The restaurant and the outside are absolutely perfect. The rooms are in need of renovating, they are like a boarding house and not to the same level/standard of what you would expect on arrival. Please renovate the rooms as soon as possible.

Modest 2 queen beds room, well maintained, quiet and clean. Mini fridge (no freezer), microwave and tea/coffee maker. Small round table and 2 armchairs. Friendly staff. Restaurant opens at 4pm for supper and in the morning for breakfast.
The whole facility is lovely, love the fact there is a laundry room because we were getting low on clean clothes but my one and only complaint is the beds were very firm. Some people love a firm bed but I'm a side sleeper and my hips and shoulders do not. Everything very quaint and very clean and I recommend this place in a second except for the beds.
Bedroom is very neat and well cleaned. However beds are hard and small, room was very cramped too. At the restaurant it was a bit creepy with dolls surrounding you but the food was great. Waitresses were very nice and the food came in pretty fast. Patio has a beautiful view of the hills and sunset. Overral it was pretty good.👌
Had dinner on the deck on a warm September evening. Service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food. My husband's chowder was lukewarm. My trout tasted fishy and the seasoning in the breading was not to my liking. But the portion size was very generous
We stayed here one night in 2015. We loved it so much we came back this year and stayed two nights! It gave us a chance to explore some of Cape Breton.
Room was a little small but lots of Victorian charm. Had all the necessities, fridge, microwave, TV. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom was clean with brand new jacuzzi tub. Ate in the restaurant for breakfast, service was excellent and food great too.

Many places were closwd in May (early). Great value, super location for doing the Cabot Trail; charming family hosts, amazing breakfast.
loved this little gem in Baddeck. My room had an amazing view of the wharf and water. The bed and bedding were plush and so cozy to sleep after a long day of hiking. The best was the bathroom the floors were heated and the bathroom was clean and modern. The hosts kept water and creamer for guests along with a fantastic little Nespresso machine. The best was the great breakfast in the morning fresh...
Lovely b&b, I’d highly recommend. The decor is cozy and fresh. The owner at the hotel that I signed in at was so kind and very helpful with his presentation and advice on sights to see. I was able to swim out the front steps in the ocean and the Inn has two kayaks that you can use free of charge. Thanks for a great stay!
Wonderful lakeside house full of character. The best thing is sitting on the deck at the end of the day with a glass of wine looking across the water to the lighthouse. The best restaurant in town (Freight Shed) is just a short walk away along the beach. Ok maybe the bed could have been a bit bigger and the breakfast a little bigger, but don't let that put you off this is really a very nice place to...
Best stay in Baddeck! Best view from the Lighthouse room, wake up to a stunning sunset in an extremely comfortable bed. Hosts are so humble and kind, great chats and good recommendations for food and site seeing. High recommend. We will hopefully be back!
So comfy. Absolutely beautiful house with the front door on the main street and the back door opening to a private deck and dock on the harbor. Gorgeous! Steps from restaurants etc. Comfortable bed. This house had the most beautiful contemporary bathroom of our two week trip. Lots of charming comfortable spaces on the first floor. Breakfast is self serve in the modern kitchen. We highly recommend...

A great location with an easy walk into the village of Baddeck. The rooms are large and spacious. Ours had a gas fireplace and a view of the lake. There is a lovely dining room but we only ate breakfast there.
We had our 50th Nurses Reunion there and we had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We had our 30th Reunion there as well and that was a great experience too.
A last minute change of plans made this an affordable and convenient place for the night. The room was a bit dated but the room was clean, large and had a comfortable bed. I chose the a la carte breakfast rather than the buffet. Choices were plentiful and reasonable.
The room was lovely. Spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The Eggs Benny was runny and the pancakes were doe-y. The staff were efficient but not overly friendly. The room was definitely the highlight of this stay.
Lovely stay. Clean and comfortable room with all the amenities. Breakfast was on offer for a price. They day we stayed there was a breakfast buffet which was good value for money. The staff were friendly, and exceptionally helpful. The site (grounds) were pleasant. The bathroom in the room was slightly antiquated in its decor, but I found that charming. The room itself was very modern. Would stay there...
Great location, beautiful grounds. The rooms are clean and 60'ish but functional, especially for families. The restaurant is fine.

This is a lovely and comfortable inn located in a beautiful place. The breakfast was excellent, made all the better by our charming and helpful hosts. Our regret is not being able to stay longer.
Wonderful owners who truly care for their guest’s experiences. Great location view of the water front! The room was nice and cozy. We would totally return to this location. Bad deck is such a cute town
We stayed two nights last week. The inn is located right in front of the water. We were assigned room 5 with a balcony, which is on the top floor (3rd) and facing the water. The view was gorgeous. The room was spacious and clean. The Owner Anne and Jeff were very nice. The home made breakfast was very delicious. We love cranberry bread and banana bread. my spouse also likes the tea Anne made. We took...
We loved our stay here. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Beautiful view; we literally stepped outside and walked a few feet and paddled! Jeff and his wife were lovely, kind people. Had a lovely breakfast! Can’t wait to come back :)
My mother and I stopped by to browse paintings. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices for the artwork were reasonable. Overall, a nice way to spend an afternoon
Fantastic location in Baddeck! Friendly and helpful owners, modern clean rooms and great Breakfast! Best patio to watch Canada day parade and fireworks!

Such a beautiful place. We had a little chalet comfortable cute so cozy ☺️ the service and people were friendly kind .they have a restaurant right on the property. The food was excellent. We will definitely come back here again. Enjoy everything
What a gem of a place! We spent 4 days here while out riding our motorcycles in the area. The rooms are well maintained and clean, and the staff was polite and accommodating. The attached restaurant was also spot on for meals. Our server Peggy kept the coffee cup full and was very fun to interact with. We had a chance to chat with the owner Kat, who is just salt of the earth.
What a beautiful spot! We found everything to be as advertised. Except the view was even more spectacular than we had imagined. Everything was clean, the beds soft and comfy, and the pool refreshing and spotless! At breakfast, try the fishcakes. They were delicious! We would definitely return.
We had a very large group of motorcycles stay here. The owner Cat and all of her staff are absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to help everyone. Restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The motel itself was clean and well cared for. Beds are comfy. The decks overlooking the water were a great place to hang out with friends. Here is an example of how above and beyond the service was. The Cabot Trail Motel and Restaurant was the highlight of our vacation..! Kathy was an incredible hostess and shared many ideas and places to go in the area. The restaurant had the best meals, fair pricing and great service. We would travel east again just to stay here. We loved the chalet.!! The heated pool was clean and refreshing..the view was stunning... Like I said, we can't wait to go back...
The location was great - the breakfast was good as was a couple of our evening meals. Dining room was only open for dinner Wednesday thru Sunday -- but closed on Oct. 16. We left on the 17th

Very nice cottage. There were 4 of us, 2 couples. Very comfortable and clean. Went to make breakfast and there was no salt and pepper. Never stayed in a cottage that didn't provide this. Luckily I had brought a few packages I had from takeout food. Checkout is 10am. I have stayed in a lot of cottages, hotels, airbnb and bed and breakfasts and never have I had a 10 am checkout. You are on vacation and...
AWESOME !! Really nice, clean and all we needed was there to use !! Friendly staff. The grounds and walking trails are nice to walk through. Love it Would stay again 100%
Roland is nice host. Very clean and covid safe place. We spent 2 days. Nice small trails inside the property and beautiful ground. 10 min to Baddek. Perfect spot in the beginning of cabot trail.
Checking out tomorrow. Had a great time, Roland is great!! Very clean cabin, very well kept property. Really liked the walking trails with my kids. I will be back and recommend to anyone.
We loved Hunters Mountain Chalets! We were planning on camping but then got rained out. We found Hungers Mountain Chalets online at the last minute and called and booked our room for the night. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the hosts and we loved the one bedroom apartment and the entire property. A perfect place to stay and our dogs loved the trails on the property! We will definitely be...
Amazing room and property - by far one of the nicest and friendliest places we stayed in on our 2 wk trip through the Maritimes. We were made to feel very welcome as well as our dogs - there were acres and acres of trimmed trails and mowed fields for the dogs to walk around after driving for so much of the trip. We only spent two days there as we traveled Cape Breton Island but we'd love to go back...

Beautiful B&B with lovely rooms, friendly owners and great food. Right near town and on a beautiful farm location we teliahed our stay here. Rooms are airy and comfortable and quite private. Would definitely return.
This stay definitely gave us a posh feeling. The room and bathroom were so clean and spacious. The hosts were such kind and lovely people and their buffet breakfast was awesome. Our stay here will always remain memorable. Thank you Jan & Glen for hosting us and making us feel at home. Stay healthy and happy as always!!!
Our hosts were very friendly, hospital, and helpful. They helped us with questions about the area attractions, the Celtic entertainment, and restaurants. Our room was well kept each day and bathroom was very clean. Breakfasts were delicious.
This was an easy 5 star for me. It was a beautiful property with wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious with home grown vegetables and local baked goods. Rooms were pretty and tidy. Would recommend and come again! I love the way our rooms were a little outside so we didn't feel so intrusive coming in and out.
This was our first visit to Auld Farm Inn B&B. I truly hope it will not be our last. This is a wonderful Inn. Lovely location nestled on a hillside, surrounded by woods and fields. The gardens surrounding the Inn are beautiful, some manicured, some wild. The owner knows her flowers and has a greenhouse on site. The layout of the rooms is very nice with some rooms inside the main house and several outside...
Nice and clean. The owners are very friendly, make you feel like you are home and welcome. They serve more like Continental breakfast, not the cook to order type.
