Wells Gray Guest Ranch

It was a very nice stay and I can only recommend this ranch for everyone who wants to enjoy their peace and quiet. Anyone who wants a little more action on their vacation can go canoeing or hiking in the nearby lake. But the biggest compliment goes to the chef, the food was fresh and incredibly tasty. This ranch comes highly recommended.
Super nice play to stay in the Wells Gray park. Nicely located roughly in the middle of the park. The cabin we had was very spacious and comfortable. The ranch is a beautiful place
I love the Wells Gray Guest Ranch. I had a very relaxing, peaceful stay. Elvira and Daniel take immaculate care of the grounds, cabins and animals. Elvira and Daniel are a pleasure to be around, so friendly and super helpful with anything you may need. I highly recommend this Guest Ranch if you are visiting the park and need somewhere to escape to. Thank you Elvira and Daniel for the hospitality and...
Our stay at the guest ranch was awesome. The owners are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The rooms were very clean, cozy and the beds were comfortable. A great escape to the wilderness and great time to disconnect. Our family enjoyed all this place has to offer including horseback riding, the food, the view and all the great animals on the ranch. I highly recommend the ranch to anyone...
Our family of 3 recently visited the Wells Gray Guest Ranch and we were blown away by their hospitality. We stayed in the Standard Cabin and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cabin was neat, extremely clean and well equipped with basic amenities that made our stay very comfortable. The location of the ranch is very close to the provincial park, making it easy to access all the major...

This place was amazing. It's almost better than home. There was everything you can desire. There's wifi, a laptop, a fridge full of food, adapters, a beautiful garden, gluten free biscuits... everything was perfect!
We stayed in early April so no mosquitoes It's a warm little family! The hosts are very kind! The dogs are super cute too! The backyard has a big box spring to jump on XDDDDD The host will assist with all incurable diseases! (I'm really sorry for waking him up in the middle of the night when we turned on the heater and the hair dryer and the power cut off) The layout of the room and toilet is very...
Lovely place. 2 bedroom downstairs maisonette. Beers in fridge with honesty box. Lots of breakfast options for you to choose and make your own breakfast. No restaurant here but they give a discount voucher for their restaurant up the road. Use mosquito spray if you go outside for the evening!

Fall colors beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. Inclusion of the row boat nice. Perfect weekend getaway from our busy life's!
What a lovely place. Big cabins. Clean. Just few steps from an amazing lake! I would recommend anyone which is looking for a magical quiet place!
Really nice and well kept resort. Free rowboat/kayak/canoe use on the lake (nice to swim in as well). Picnic table situation in the RV part was a little odd, not all sites had tables, one site seemed to have 3. Only downside was the drive from Clearwater, we were in a Class C towing a Jeep, the road is steep rough and dusty.
This place was beautiful, and very clean with excellent amenities. The only thing I'd fault is that it feels a little stuck in the 80s, the design is old fashioned and the entire resort could do with a refurb. Nothing is in disrepair, its just old fashioned in design. Compared to other options in the area though, its excellent. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and accommodating. We...
What an amazing place to stay inside the forest. The ride from the village is challenging but you won't regret it. The chalets inside the resort are positioned perfectly for having a private stay. The inside of the chalets are cosy with a spending view towards the lake. The restaurant serves good dishes in the morning and evening. The staff is very friendly, sure I wanna go back in the future.
If you love swimming - this is the lake for you; the water is clear and warm in August. What struck me about this resort, is how clean and well kept everything is, inside and out. All of the cabins are great but the log cabin I visited, with its rugged log columns, is outstanding. With the mist on the lake and the loons calling, this setting is so peaceful. Tracey and Wolfie made a special birthday...

Cabin had ac and mosquito screens and was very cleaned (which is not always the case in camping cabins. Bathroom amenities were complete.
Well equipped cabins including airco. The one room cabin is a bit small though if you need to use the foldable couch bed next to the bed. Very friendly service.
Great glamping experience . We a couple got the tent for two nights. It was located in the forest , perfect . It was very spacious . Had everything including heating , fans, electric bed sheets, coffee , tea etc, robes .. Toilet was clean. Shower was just 5 mtrs away from the tent . Though the shower ans sauna was common iy was very clean. There us a nice clean commom out door kitchen , dining area...
Amazing place. So quiet and everything you could ever need for your stay is provided. Highly recommended!!!
Loved our stay, super comfortable even with the cold weather coming in. Could not imagine a cosier bed - the electric blanket was amazing. We loved having the sauna to warm up and the communal shower and kitchen areas were both very clean and had everything we needed. Big fluffy robes a huge bonus!
What a great and special place. We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights and very much enjoyed it. The location is in the forest and is very relaxing as it is very quiet and peaceful. The cabin has everything you need: a kitchenette, a bathroom, a comfy double bed and space for your luggage. There is a nice fireplace and a grill to share in the garden right in front of the cabins. Love this place. So neat and clean. Beautifully decorated. Bring cash! I forgot, read the emails they send you before you arrive. :)
Nice little B&B. It's a bit outside of Clearwater, but since you're usually driving anyway, it doesn't matter. Perfect for a couple. You have a lot of space and the large double bed is very comfortable. We felt very comfortable. the price is unbeatable. The whole breakfast was already in the fridge at the beginning of our stay. Stayed here for a couple of nights over Thanksgiving with a friend. The cabin we rented was modern, warm and cozy. Sat on the deck with a glass in the evening and a coffee in the morning. Very peaceful and relaxing. During the day we managed to visit 6 waterfalls, all within easy reach of the ranch. Even saw a black bear!!! Yeah! Communication with Aida through email was timely and informative. Unfortunately...
We had an excellent stay at the Nakiska Ranch. The host was very friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it very much, especially the tasty bread and pancakes! The room provided everything we needed - a beautiful view on the mountains included. Surely take dinner there. It is prepared by the neighbours and had really the best salmon we ever ate! Extra benefit: they...
If you're looking for a good quality stay, with honest and hardworking owners: this is it. No frills, you see is what you get type of mentality which we LOVED. The views are amazing, and it's a great base of operations to explore Wells Grey further. The breakfast is top notch, fresh bacon and eggs, pancakes, juice, coffee, tea... Everything you want, really. The owners obviously put their whole heart...
I absolutely wanted to review this place, cause the current score does not reflect realtity at all. The owner is a very nice guy and the breakfast was great! We had the evening dinner with Salmon and it was qualitive and quantitive. We loved it. It's true that our room had a hanging lock to close the room. However, you could close of the room from the inside and it was nice to have a lot of light in...
We've stayed with Nakiska Ranch for a couple of nights, which was really nice. The cabin is neat with a beautyful view over the grasfields and up to the mountains in the back. The homemade bread for breakfast is definitly tastefull! And off course Fernis...
25ish kilometers from Clearwater, this ranch welcomes you with a cozy environment, beautiful view on the surrounding fields and mountains and nice country cabins surrounded by trees and squirrels running around. The host is a nice man from Greenland who will show you around and cook dinner and breakfast for you (both wonderfully prepared and highly recommended). So much better than any hotel.

The place is ok for an overnight stop while visiting the area. The lodge team are nice and trying to help with information about the area. The issue of not having a wifi or internet connection is problematic when trying to plan the trip etc. Also be aware of the mosquitoes. The restaurant was also ok.
Beautiful park, in the middle of nature. The lodges are great, but in need of a little renovation here and there. The coffeemachine in the lodges is great, featuring some tasty, strong coffee. There aren't really any hiking routes which are reachable on foot unfortunately, you'll have to drive a little while. Be sure to check out the falls around the park. The park's restaurant is very average, I'd...
We stayed in a log cabin room. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s very quiet and peaceful, we really enjoyed the views from the balcony of our room. It was nice to be offline for a while, as the rooms have no TV or wifi and there is no cell service in the area. The only thing we missed was a fridge in the room to keep a couple things cold. I hope we make it...
We so loved our stay at the lodge. The staff were so so kind and made us feel so welcome. The upgraded our room because we had two kids and they had a larger room available for us to use. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The falls are a nearby drive and there is lots of wildlife to spot. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic place to relax when visiting Wells Gray Provincial Park. We have stayed there twice and this time in mid July. It is under new management and getting things sorted out. They have great clean rooms, friendly staff and spectacular scenery all around. Very very very quiet. If you are lucky you could see black bears far away in the field, under the shadow of the snow capped mountains.

Good location ,friendly staff, full service RV. Sites swimming poor and small store. Sunny location,We would stay again..
Not your traditional hotel room but very comfortable and clean cabins/small bunglows with all modern facilities including aircon, bathroom facilities, Wi-Fi, etc. All one needs to explore this exciting part of Canada. Reasonable price and very friendly staff. Had a memorable stay at this resort with five other family members. High recommendation.
Safe, friendly, campground, with connections for RV’s if needed. The free wifi is awesome and was super fast! There is a cool restaurant across the street called Hop and Hog. The one complaint I had was that our site was very bumpy and we had a very hard time levelling the RV at this place. Would help if they flattened the dirt patches on their camp sites. Other than that great for the price!
Spacious tent campsites, they are separated from other sites with trees. So there's some privacy and shadow. All the facilities are in good condition, the staff was nice and helpful. It's in a perfect location across from visitor centre and commercial area, but you're surrounded by cedars so it feels just like in the forest. Made our trip to Wells Gray nice and easy.

This is a fantastic spot in one of Canada's most scenic places. If you are planning a trip to Wells Grey or just want to enjoy the beautiful Thompson River Valley, stay here. Rooms, cabins and campsites are all fantastic. And the restaurant has the best food north of Kamloops. The desserts are probably some of the best in the world. Great job by everyone who works so hard to make this a great destination
Beautiful little cabins, amazing staff. Stayed in the cabin one night and slept sooo peaceful.. only suggestion I can give is black out curtains would of been awesome as it got bright pretty early. Stayed here with my family for a Whitewater rafting trip and really enjoyed it. We had a family room, which was like an apartment - the bathroom was huge and the room was very clean. We stayed at the beginning Of October and the colors in the yard were breathtaking! Super friendly owners. Cabins were cute and cozy with everything you could possibly need. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommended.
The experience of staying here was very enjoyable. Pricing was not bad at all for the experience. You get a kitchenette with your little cabin so you can make hot beverages for the night. Shower is good and you get decent pressure. You can hear the sound of the creek that you cross just before entering these grounds during the night which I thought really added to the ambience. This place is located...
The cutest little cabin. Super cozy and sparkly clean place with easy access to the park. The cabin has everything you need for relaxing with comfort after a day of adventures. Check in and check out procedures were extremely straightforward. Stayed for three days and would definitely come back.
The cabins have everything you need! We just brought our own food and coffee because there are no stores or anything in the park where the cabin is located. The beds are really comfortable, even when we had to share it with our toddler. Our favourite part was sitting outside at our table in the evening until the stars came out. On a clear night the stars are amazing! The location of this place is great...
Perfect location for hiking and exploring, especially for Trophy Meadows access and most of the waterfall sightseeing spots. Doris was so lovely. Her house is very homely, like going to visit family. She was very welcoming and hospitable. We had facilities to re-heat our food and small amount for fridge storage.

The mattresses were heavenly so much so that we didn't wake up with bad backs. The Google maps directions were way off bc it has u turning into a driveway at the tennis courts(there isnt one), we had to turn around, go back to the round about, but then there was no sign pointing u to the motel, turned into the Old Caboose Pub to reach the motel. Better signage with directions is needed. We arrived...
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Rachel and DJ. I am an anxious older sister and I was helping my younger sister book a place to stay overnight with her two bunnies for her drive from Vancouver Island to Edmonton and back. Ok so it's a budget motel so don't expect it to look like the Ritz Carlton. Having said that the AC worked, beds were comfy, with bath, fridge and microwave. No plates etc though which was a bit tricky. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location was fine and not too noisy but we were at the back away from the highway.
We stayed here as a family of three and this accommodation was perfect for our overnight stop en route from Vancouver to the Rockies. I would like to share that I had lunch today at the Wells Gray Inn in Clearwater, BC.. I worked at this restaurant many years ago and it still has good food and staff that cares for the customer.. I had an awesome lunch ( fish and chips, coleslaw/ tarter sauce) with a long time friend today and it was very nice to sit and reminisce about the old times. Thank you for an awesome experience again.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside (painted grey and on a main road) and the corridors are warm and a bit dated, but as soon as you get into the room it all changes. The room was large, clean, and very well air conditioned. It's a great place to stay if you're passing through (we were travelling from Jasper to Vancouver)
Nice spacious room. Service was good. We were on the higwayside of the hotel though and had trouble sleeping. If the traffic was continuous we could have tuned it out but unfortunately you would be awakened by periodic large trucks. We turned on the quite loud AC unit hoping it would drown out the trucks but it didn't help as much as we hoped. The hotel would be just fine if they were able to upgrade...

The Rusty Antler is a privately located cabin at the rear of the proprietors home and is set in a quiet location. It was quite comfortable and had everything we needed.
